I bought a knitting kit which included a circular needle. The cable for the needle broke while I was knitting. All the stitches were dropped. I wrote to the company to let them know about the defective needle. There are varying qualities of knitting needles? That was news to me. Very disappointed. Here is their snippy responseVery sorry to here your needle broke. I can imagine your frustration, however please remember that the needle provided is a free item added to the kit at no cost. It is meant to help a new knitter get started with the right size needle. It is not meant as a high quality needle for long term use. (-although we have only had one or two break in 22 + years). I am happy to replace it for you with another of the same needle but I dont think that will do much for you, as it is still just a cheap beginner needle. Again, I am sorry for your troubles.
