On January 30,2018 I went online looking for lowest last minute pricing to fly from USA to INDIA. Expedia offered a ticket for $1,779.61 round trip which was acceptable since I needed to depart within 24 hours and return within 96 hours.

They took the money off the credit card but would not issue the tickets saying on the website there was a problem with the credit card information. In fact it was correct so I pressed the issue tickets again. The same message came up again without completing the transaction nor issuing tickets.

When I called Expedia they said, They are sorry but some leg of the flight was not in fact available and therefore no tickets could be issued, but they admitted they took the $1,779.61 not once but now twice from my account and offered to return all in several days time. To me this is legalized thievery with a future date return policy of unacceptable proportions in business practice.

When I called my bank to retrieve the funds they said they will give me a PRN number for each transaction (PRN HFCBS & PRN HPCJ7) and to call back to Expedia support department to expedite processing the refunds so I will have sufficient on my cards to book another flight on another site immediately.

So I called back Expedia. I found no one helpful after multiple transfers and apologies. All using the same excuse, "that refunds department will not open until some future date and time" forcing me to wait and lose the opportunity to make this last minute important trip. Ensuring I can not have my funds back timely (for several days) so i can even attempt to book on another Site with another Airlines.

Their only suggestion was that I use another credit card and try to book again on their site if my current credit card had no more room. We all know where that is going. EXPEDIA WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY NO MATTER THEY CAN DELIVER WHAT YOU WANT OR NOT. THEN SEVERAL DAYS LATER THEY WILL GIVE IT BACK SO BEWARE AND PASS ON THE WORD TO BOYCOTT EXPEDIA AND EXPOSE THEM FOR THE MODERN DAY THIEVES AND PICK POCKETS WITH RETURN POLICY OVER TIME THEY ARE. EXPEDIA SUCKS!

I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND I HOPE YOU WON'T EITHER. TELL YOUR FRIENDS THIS STORY AND EXPOSE THEM FOR THE TRASH COMPANY THEY ARE.
