Never, never, never make my mistake of booking with Opodo.
Long story short. My flight was cancelled in early May. I contacted the airline straight away and they confirmed that they were happy to issue a full refund instantly. They advised that they need Opodo to instruct them to refund me because I booked via Opodo.
Firstly, there is no way to contact Opodo on email or to raise a complaint(and don't fall for their feedback link - it does not let you submit a complain - instead it sends you to your booking).
Secondly, it takes over an hour to get through to Opodo on the phone. After several attempts, I managed to speak with their rep. They called the airline and confirmed the refund. They even sent me an email saying that the refund if confirmed and would be made within 90 days.
90 days passed. No refund. I called Opodo again. They told me this time that they cannot make a refund because this was not authorised by the airline. This is simply a lie because I know from the airline directly that they have authorised it(and because Opodo had confirmed that themselves via email).
I tried raising a complaint - not possible. I am now advised by their agent that my refund request is being raised to their"seniors". 95 days down the line, i'm still waiting...
Please, done make my mistake of trying to save 20 pounds by booking through Opodo. It costed me so much more in my time. Book directly with airlines.
