I learned that if I had stepped into the chosen hotel, my rate would be $22 cheaper than booking through Trivago. Now I find that Trivago booked me not only for last night in Tennessee but has also booked me for three days from now in New Mexico via Priceline! There is absolutely no way to get hold of Trivago and get it made right. Priceline says "Too bad, so sad" and hotel refers everything back to 'the third carrier'. The minor convenience now seems not worth the costs.

Tip for consumers:
First, every time the screen changes CHECK THE DATES. They often change too. Second, don't fill in information to make it easier. They can then auto book you when you only thought you were looking. Third, call the hotel directly, give them any organizations you belong to that might permit a discount and get a best rate to compare. (AAA, AARP, military etc)

I was led to believe I was booking directly through the hotel and it was not labeled...
