HP told me the "Pavillion" Laptop was obsolete and they no longer supported it. That included "no recovery disks".
I called "RestoreDisks" but did not leave a message. Ordered the "Pavillion" DVD"s anyway. For $26, not much to lose.
A bit later, a nice young lady called me back from the company in response to my phone calla asking how they could be of service. She looked up my order I had placed on line and said I should have the disks soon. That turned out to be the very next day.
End of story, Laptop is back and running like it did when it was brand new.
