Please be assured that your account was canceled and you were issued a refund of $22.86. The refund was processed immediately on our end, however, please note that it may take a few days for the refund to be reflected on your bank statement.

The information in BeenVerified's reports is aggregated from public records and publicly available information. This public information is compiled through many public offices and agencies with the intent and for the purpose of it being made available to the public. There are many sources of public records, including: telephone directories, public property records, utility bills, magazine subscriptions, voter registration, and more.

As you just experienced, sometimes the information they collect is not always 100% correct. However, we can only work with the information provided to us within public data.
