Wealthy Affiliate is a learning platform for entrepreneurs looking to learn the industry. At first I figured it was a scam but I signed up and started building my website. After my first month I decided to upgrade to their Premium membership because it wasn't expensive and at $47.00 a month and really had a ton of training. Being over 40 and working as a U.S. Marine and then as an electrician I was burned out with manual work. I needed to learn this digital marketing stuff and not to back to back breaking work. So I kept building my website, went through the tutorials and videos and learned the industry and perfected my "sales" writing. Now at 2 1/2 years my website "bloggingtipsfornewbies. C om is pretty big with about 350 posts all with different keywords and calls to action. I have made sales with it and my membership gets paid with my earnings and I make some extra on top of that.
But I will say this. The platform does cost $49.00 a month now and while the training is great there are tons of people who join and quit in a few months. They get impatient because it takes a while to learn and earn any money. I would not suggest joining if you are looking for a push button formula to make money online. In fact I have spent probably a couple thousand hours writing blogs and studying the lessons. So be mindful of that. It does work but it has to be treated like. A business and not a hobby. I do not work for the company or am being compensated in any way from the Wealthy Affiliate. I am simply a member who has used the platform to build my own web business.

I started with Textbroker years ago and thought "Yea, this is cool." Now a few years later I realized it was a shady scene. It did help me to start writing articles for people but not much else. The pay was low and obviously many writers (if you want to call them that) are from overseas. The end result was I bailed after a couple years and tried to freelance which worked over time. I actually started on Fiverr.com and offered services for blogging and article writing. Now I get orders that can be 25.00 to 40.00 for blogs that are around 750 to 1000 words. I noticed the more positive feedbacks I got, the demand grew. It's more personal and your in control of what you accept or dont. So, yea Textbroker is good for practice and maybe beer money but not much else. I felt like I was a writing wh@@e for them, Fiverr, I don't.
