I ordered from Goldbelly and was pleased with what my friends received so I ordered again for another friend's 72nd birthday. The blueberry pie arrived cracked, watery, and hot. It went straight into the trash. I was offered the choice between a credit and a free pie. I chose the credit. My decision was accepted. They then, without telling me, offered my friend a pie "on us". He did not understand that meant I had to pay $65.00 for the ruined pie and would not get the credit. I tried to order again and learned I was never given the credit I was promised. They over-rode my decision without telling me. I was the customer. It should have been my decision. Instead, they chose to pit me against my friend. He had no idea I would be charged for the original disaster. I had no idea they lied about giving me a credit on my account.
Hi Catherine,
We apologize for the confusion with the resolution for your gift, and that your recipient received a damaged item. We always let the sender decide what type of resolution will be the outcome as they are the ones who paid for the order. In this case, it looks like one of our agents did not realize this was a gift when your recipient reached out. When this was realized, we did get in touch with you to further assist and let you decide what resolution would be preferred. Reshipments are always free of charge as they are typically offered when an order arrives damaged or spoiled. The reshipment has been canceled per your request and we we directly refunded your original form of payment.
Take care.
