I found the info in their database was correct and more complete than other comparable services, but their enrollment tactics are based on keeping the long term cost hidden. The do not send enrollment confirmations and updates on membership status. If you call and cancel there is no paper trail to fall back on when they keep charging you. When the trial period enrollees you will be charged the full monthly fee. If you call the same day the charges hit your bank they will not refund it. They say that your membership is then valid through the period that they surreptitiously enrolled you into. It is a very poor business practices. If they were more upfront and transparent or if they offered more flexibility in their plans I would consider using them again, but the hidden renewals, poor communication and customer service attitudes may keep me from ever trying them again.
Hi there Barbara,
NeighborWho wants our customers to be aware of the billing prior to creating an account with us.
When signing up for our services the terms and conditions in addition to the privacy policy are required to be agreed to prior to signing up.
Each customer must agree to these terms before successfully creating the account.
This way our customers are fully aware of the charges including the date to cancel the trial.
Our subscriptions are not based on usage; they are recurring subscriptions that will continue to renew until a customer cancels as stated in the agreed terms.
If you require assistance with your account, please email us at support@NeighborWho.com.
We are always more than happy to assist!
