Here is a very open and honest review of my experience partaking in the Kingpet contest that will hopefully give other's who are interested an inside look to see if its worth your time or not, and also some tips/tricks and cheats that I discovered while being in the contest. I stumbled upon the contest on facebook and saw that you could win up to 2k in cash if you were placed first place in the kingpet contest. I assumed that meant I posted a pic of my dog (I entered the dog one) and other people would post pics of their dog and we would all vote on who we thought was the cutest pet. Easy enough! I realized it meant sharing with friends and family and trying to get the most votes. I did not however realize until after I had already joined that votes can be bought/purchased. So there for its not really about whose pet is the cutest or most liked on there, its more about who has enough money or can make a promise to others for advanced votes to return votes or payments back to other contestants like a trade/deal. If you want to blow money on votes people WILL in order to get ahead of you, and they do surprisingly enough. You can be in the comp all the way until the last 30min trying to gain votes throughout the entire thing and people can join the comp last minute and buy 20k votes and kick you out of your place last minute. They don't even have to do the work... In my experience that happened. I was in the comp for 3 weeks, spent hours on there everyday but I wanted to give it my best shot. Last min someone swooped in out of no where and took 1st place for the state. I came in 2nd. Also last minute new accounts were made for the world placement and in the last 30min I went from 45th place winning $100 to 60th place winning $50... In a matter of minutes. I'm sure if the comp went on longer I would have been kicked from winning anything. Which makes you wonder... Who are these people that all of sudden swoop in and take the placement? I would say its a scam but if you put in a lot of hard work you CAN win. Like I said I won $50 and out of 4,500 people I placed 60th without buying any votes. I ended with about 13,500 votes. HOWEVER 1st place had 200,000 votes... Who the hell has 200,000 votes. Ill tell you how. These people are the ones who have been partaking in the contest a VERY long time. These are the people who win the jackpot. HOW? Well they build a team over time on there. Yes there are teams and thats how people are getting so many votes. So unless you have a team... your not going to stand a chance. They have a team of over 100 people, and they have givin votes to people in other comps so they are owed votes back... They already have a system set up. So me coming in there brand new and not understanding how this contest even worked... Im lucky I got 60th place in the world... Also first place winning barely had any photos of their dog. And the photo they did have was a very dark depressing photo where you could barely even see there dog... It was taken at night. So its not like this dog was the cutest and thats why they got votes. It literally was a terrible photo. Its because they had a team. You can also get votes by unlocking achievements. I unlocked 35 achievements which is A LOT. Thats more than most people on there who have been playing for years and I literally played for 3 weeks... I even got an achievement where your supposed to get 1st place on the leaderboard in the kingpet mini game. And let me tell you THATS HARD TO DO. Less that 0.1% of people do that. Guess how many votes you get for doing it? 1k votes... Thats nothing... Especially when 1st place is usually racking up 1,000 votes in the first 30min of the comp. I also discovered some hacks/cheats. One of the achievements asks for your pets profile to be shared a certain amount of times on Facebook. If you create a fake facebook account you can do 10 votes a day on your pets profile but also share the link of your pets profile to the fake account as many times as you want before facebook reports the fake profile and shuts the account down. So I had 4 fake profiles going sending me votes and sharing the link to my pets profile so I was able to get the 100 likes achievement and the 500 likes achievement. I tried to get the 10k likes one but only made it to 5,000 because damn 10k is a lot of shares and eventually my facebooks got flagged and reported for abuse lol. Even tho I don't have any friends on them. So that was a hack I discovered. I also discovered that you can email KINGPET and tell them one of your achievements isn't unlocking and they don't really even verify they just unlock it for you... I emailed them because in my case one actually wasn't unlocking but I thought I would test it out with an achievement I didn't really deserve. And they unlocked it... So there's that. I would say its quite a waste of time and not a legit contest. Contests shouldn't be where you can BUY votes... So its kinda trash lol. Ill take the 50$ and never do it again lol. I feel bad for all the people who I told I would return votes too... Because without them I would have never placed where I did. But ill be deleting my account... and ghosting. Lol.
