It it made to seem that the additional was a required payment towards the phone balance to unlock the phone. So we paid the fee that it said was "required by att because the phone is still under contact" implying that the payment was to towards the phone balance. I'm very upset about the misleading information around the service. But the phone did get unlocked but now I feel like it was somehow done illegally.
I contacted about the premium unlock that was implied it was a payment for att phone contract and it wasn’t. The reply was made to make me feel like an idiot with statements to the effect no why would it be for that?
Hello Adam,
First off, I'd like to sincerely thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We're glad to hear that your iPhone 15 Pro Max has been successfully unlocked, and we hope it's working well with your new eSIM from Mint Mobile.
Regarding your concerns about the payment, I apologize for any confusion you might have had about the premium unlock service. As clarified in our terms and conditions, the payment is for the unlocking service itself and not a payment towards your phone's balance with AT&T. We can assure you that our unlocking process is legal and adheres to all regulations in Europe and North America as detailed in Section 3.1 of our terms and conditions.
We understand that the unlocking process involves multiple steps, including an eligibility check and then the actual unlocking service, which consists of standard and perhaps premium services if necessary. It's important to us that our customers are fully aware of the service they're paying for, and we strive to make all information clear and accessible on our checkout page.
On the topic of reviews, please know that genuine customer experience is paramount to us, and we work hard to offer service that warrants positive feedback.
If you have any further questions or require assistance with your unlocked device, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Warm Regards,
Charlotte
