I have order food from Zomato ( restaurant barbeque nation Dehradun), food quality and quantity was not good prawns was all burnt and they added sugar in chicken it was sweet and dal makhani was smelling very bad and now Zomato not ready to Refund me back

Not trustworthy at all. They are more focused on tying down and expanding their business. They have no special team for food rating & critics. So they set up every restaurant's full menu and connect their business from every angle.
All items can not be good, but those items that taste good you need to add only those items. Not once, but repeatedly we threw food away and never got our money back. According to Zomato, they are not liable for the food quality and the making of that food. What is your app all about?

Stopped in with friends on Sunday, place was not too busy but Megan was lovely and the meals were all fantastic. Our Roast Chicken was very succulent, all the trimmings, other half had the Chicken Salad, others had the burgers said the same, hot plates, and desserts to die for. We will certainly be back.
I usually wait for about 40 minutes when I order food from Zomato... Its normal that quite often I would go back to them enquiring about my order... I have ordered food and this time the wait is pretty much long... Its been more than an hour, hurray... Zomato is doing a great job... Talabat is a hundred times better than Zomato... So finally I have learned my lesson and this is gonna be my last order from these guys... If you can't do business properly, please try to fix it... If it happens once or twice, we can understand, when it happens quite often, we can't take it... Anyways thanks a lot Zomato for your quality service...

I ordered a delivery from a restaurant via zomato, I received a message that the order is received by the valet. Then as time passed, I called him but his mobile was switched off repeatedly. Then even the customer chat service was unable to contact him. A miserable and very disappointing experience. Finally they sent a message that due to some problem on road the order is cancelled, and hence I wasn't able to receive the order that day.
Zomato is one of the best food delivering app. The delivery will be on time and quality of the food is also great.

I had a mixed experience as I have used multiple times and sometimes the service is good and sometimes it is not upto the mark as last time just before lockdown I ordered the food and that time they delivered it very late as from the given time
Well first it was the late delivery as estimated time was 35 mins and I got my food after 1 hr and also the food was not at all hot served...
They will show that you are giving too much discount, but as you add items, the final price becomes much higher. They manage delivery charges and packing fees.

As a Zomato Gold member, I applauded this initiative since day 1 and I've been a member since then. However, their constant changes of terms and conditions made me really unhappy and disappointed with their lack of transparency.
The introduction of the new strict "fair usage" conditions has made Zomato Gold useless for me. I understand that they need to restrict the number of unlocks/day to avoid abuses. This is understandable and I agree it is fair.
However, I was using Gold for 2+2 drinks and I could use them alone before. Now, the new rule forces 2 people to be on the table which for me it is more like an "unfair usage" policy.
To make things worse, they insist that my membership is non-refundable when I have never accepted these terms and conditions upon my renewal. They only say "sorry you feel that way" and do not give any solution.
Overall, the customer service is not properly trained and use canned replies 80% of the time. It is really hard for you to get any real typed message on the chat by a human. They are not trained to help the customer but to be on the defensive.
As of today, Zomato is in my blacklist. The platform is still the best to check restaurant's information but this is it. They will not see a single payment from my pocket any more.
Fortunately, in Dubai there are plenty of alternatives: Deliveroo, Talabat, UberEats and CareemNow is what I will use more often from now on.
Refrain from using Zomato. You might as well use Uber eats or Swiggy. I ordered food at 9:30 and the next one 5 minutes later on 19 June 2019. Unusually that day, the live tracking map was not seen, Zomato delivery personnel's contact number is not provided, the chat system is powered by a chatbot, no call support by Zomato either to hear what the customer has to say. The chatbot responds to my query but doesn't understand my emotions / frustration. The human person on chat is scripted, doesn't help me either. Frustrating experience for me waiting for food in the morning. After almost 1:45 minutes, he confirms the money will be refunded in 24 to 48 hours. Even worse, on my Zomato app, it says your order from Durga Sagar is on the way but receive an email confirming Zomato has delivered the food to me. What kind of cheats are you? Do the delivery guys eat our food? And even to this day, I have not received my money back. I'm irritated by your customer service. Now I understand why you do not have call support.
I was starving and I ordered them and these people didn't ordered yet, and when I called Reastorant, then the delivery boy out for delivery. It took them one hour... And I when I tried to cancel the order... They told me they are not refunding my money... Seriously? These people are in fault and asking me... They didn't refund my money yet... Its very pathetic service..., please see the screen shots I have attached

After placed the order i immediately cancelled the order, it hardly took a minute. The response i am getting from you is that you have changed your policies, and you are charging the whole amount as a penalty. Is this how you manage your cancellations?
Urbanspoon provided 5 star reviews that seemed fairly objective. Upon buying this app Zomato has changed everything and my many reviews from Urbanspoon have magically disappeared frrom this new app. They were there and then months later... gone. The reviews are not very helpful and all reviews seem to be middle of the road and not at all honest or objective!
Most of the information is spot on but the lousy website and a lousier app can definitely be improved. An over awesome experience though as me and my partner have some of the best chillout/food spots in the city!
That's the best way I can describe what the site and app look like since they took over UrbanSpoon. It's a cluttered mess, and I can't find the random restaurant generator like UrbanSpoon had with the slot machine.
Answer: Sometimes yes, when the order is not delivered but money being charged. At the initial instance they should not have an option of not delivering the food parcel.
