Might not be as perfect as other Design Crowdsourcing sites, but it's seldom that you find an online community you could truly be comfortable with. Been working in MB for over a year now and all I can say is that it greatly helped me with my dialysis treatment.

True that there's a lot of flaws. But an organization without flaws has no room for learning, therefore no room for growth. :)

Ordered wordpress design template, they delivered screenshots of the template and tried to charge $20 extra for each picture (that I did not asked for) on them. Thereafter pressed to start an other project for 500$ to get the actual CSS and HTML they took the screenshots in the first place. They do some work but (at least try) rip you off once on the hook.

I found this site through Google and within 5/10 minutes of my registration someone called me from *******038 claiming he was calling from US. He started offering me addons, which I promptly refused. I further suggested to the man if the site could take 50% now and 50% when I'm done with the contest. Suddenly he became arrogant and the tone changed. He started telling me that they are in business for 15 years and I shouldn't question their policies. I told him it's just a suggestion. I'm based in Kuwait and it was past midnight, the guy started saying "why are you on our website if you want something free?" I never said anything about freebies during my conversation. Later on the guy turned racial and said that he knows I'm an Asian and was looking for something free. I asked him how can he make that assumption? I've never touched Booz in my life and the guy accuses me of being drunk. I disconnected the line. He call me again in 5 mins from another number *******919 and asks me why did you disconnect the phone? I told him it my phone and I decide if I should talk or disconnect. He goes to the extent of telling me that I don't have guts and wasn't brave enough to face whatever nonsense he was talking.

During my first call I asked him if the call was recorded? He said yes. I told him I want to register a complaint against him. He tells me why should I tell you my name? You're not our customer.

I'm sure with this attitude, you'll not be getting many customers.

There are boastful admins who are unfairly treating project holders and designers, if they want to respect them, they should respect others first, they are offending people. They where just doing what they want and they don't care about anybody. They are too boastful because they know they have the power to remove and reinstall designs. There is also a blog I have read that mycroburst doesn't listen. I don't know if this is true, but if they keep doing this, more complaints will come into their way.

Well my original review was when I was new to the website, but unfortunately from my aspect, it took a turn for the worst. The one thing that pisses me off beyond belief is other designers accusing you of stealing others' work, but you didn't. This has happened to me at least 10 times, but I always keep my work original. When the project holder sees comments on the contest like this, they immediately void any other concepts you created, fearing that it is stolen.

Another thing is that no matter how hard you work at bringing the best design you can make, ultimately only one can be chosen. You wouldn't go to a restaurant or bar, order many different things off the menu and only pay for the one you like, that's ridiculous, but it is also how many websites, like Mycroburst, operates. They have included a "Donate" option so the project holder can donate a pre-set amount of money to designers they think have earned it. This is a good idea, but is rarely used. Probably because every designer that contributes is worthy of feel of compensation, but the project holder can donate that amount of money to every designer in their contest, that would cost them way to much money.

If you ask me, your better off on hiring a freelance designer or Graphic Design Company to do your work. They are much more driven to create exactly what you want and are for more qualified to do your work than someone you barley have contact with.

The key point to take away from this rant is if you need Graphic Design done, use a freelance designer, like myself, to do your work.

There are very few actual creative designers on this site. You will know them by their very original works. Then you will see tons of folks who wouldn't have an original idea if it slapped them in the face come behind you and take your logo, or bits and pieces of your logo and create "their own?" work from yours!

Reporting the issue does no good because there is "just enough" variation that mycroburst claims the other concept to be original when everyone under the sun can see the copy! They didn't come up with an original idea, they reworked YOUR original idea and called it their own.

Many designs are not original created works either, but rather images that have been vectorized and predominantly those images are "lifted" from the internet with no credit to the photographer or artist to whom they belong!

I'm about to be done with them until and unless they implement blind contests! This way Project Holders can see where original, unique and creative ideas are and where copiers have no clue since they can't copy anymore!

A decent website: I've used them for a few months, and have won a few design projects. You need to fill out a W-9 form upon winning a project. It can suck for designers to put a lot of effort into a project and then lose, but otherwise it's pretty good just for a resume builder site. If you're looking to post a project and buy a logo, make sure you leave comments and star ratings, other wise you'll piss off designers and no one will post drafts for you. Also, projects not guaranteed and under $200 will rarely get quality designs, but it depends on your involvement.

We asked designers to incorporate our current logo into an anniversary logo; we got some great ideas and are happy with the result. One warning: we got 100 submissions but only 7 or 8 truly unique designs because a lot of designers post multiple color options of the same logo or just make minor changes and re-post and that "counts" as a new design.

This site may be a good resource for small business owners/startups and young designers or someone who needs some side money, but when I read briefs like "we are serving Fortune 500 companies, we are very hi-tech pros, we are on top of the industry, we are simply soooo great and we need professional, cutting-edge, competitive logo and we offer, like, $300 dollars", I think something is seriously wrong. I think minimal prices should depend on the size/income of the project holder.

The site is a good idea. I have yet to win a contest though. There are so many designers that it is HARD to win. I agree with the other review that project holders should be required to give more feedback. I spend time doing designs and never get any feedback. How do I know if I am going in the right direction? It is hard to know without feedback..

I used this site for the design of our company logo and was completely satisfied with the quality of the designs provided and the ease of working with the many designers who competed in our project. We had some 195 designs and were able to eliminate all but 3 (it was not easy as many of the designs were quite good), then asked our team and several outside judges to help decide which was the best. The final design is exactly what we had in mind in terms of being elegant and technology oriented. All in all, a solid, professional experience and a great way to obtain great choices for a logo.

Great service, very quick and reliable. The service was great and this site has you create a contest, and designers from around the world compete to design your logo or website, they compete for your business. Easy, painless, and effective.

This was the second time that I had worked using this process and again it was a great experience. I received well over 100 designs with great design elements. It was hard to even choose. The feedback and help was great and made this an easy process that I will use again in the future.

Overall was good experience. Had a bit of a slow start to the contest and many of the designers didn't seem to take the time to read exactly what I was looking for however with a few extensions I was able to get exactly what I was looking for! Thanks

Brilliant.
Great site. Great experience. Great result.
I'm a business coach that was looking for a logo. I was suggested this site by another business owner.
Now I'm suggesting you try it. However like anything in life. The more you put in, the more you get out. So on this site be pro-active with inviting designers and giving them feedback and you will get the result you are looking for. Don't just wait for the design to come to you.

As a new venture setting sail on a small budget, we were quite put off by various companies touting their understanding of small business needs, yet offering all-in-one solutions at "champagne quality" pricing. Though we had never used, or even considered, a service such as LogoDesignGuru, we were immediately put at ease with the communication we began receiving upon completion of our order, from both their corporate offices as well as their designer affiliates. Soon thereafter, we even upgraded our order from just a single service to a full package deal.

Having recently completed and finalized our company logo design project (we received over 180 submissions to choose from) we remain confident in our decision to go this route. Having employed and/or subcontracted a graphics design department in the past, we can say with 100% certainty that we would have never received the sheer variety of concepts as we did with LogoDesignGuru... and the quality is top notch.

If you're looking for a capable company that can deliver in a reasonable timeframe under tight budgetary restrictions while still a maintaining high standard of quality, then look no further. You've found it in LogoDesignGuru.
