Not a good service

I signed with Xfinity a few months ago (November 2021) and the quality of the service is not what they promised. I was paying the higher rate internet and I called so many times to address the problem that it was a waste of time. A technician came to my house and he agreed that the quality was bad and I needed to pay for a second router. I refused to do that since my house is small and it would increase my monthly rate. Despite it was their fault, I had to pay a termination fee of 160 dollars. I wouldn´t recommend Xfinity.

Every time my internet is browned out, I'm going to give this review for their bad service... since it is the only option I have to do anything about it.

How do I know it's bad service? It usually happens in the evenings and fixes itself late at night/ early AM, and it happens more frequently on weekends.

This has happened thousands of times over the past 3 years, and the first several times I went through the motions of calling their help number. After playing automated option bingo for an hour, I'd finally press the lucky combination of numbers to speak to a human who'd read off a standardized list of ways this could be my fault. He'd assure me there's no such thing as internet brownouts (everyone I've ever talked to about this has experienced them), he'd tell me that according to his system I have internet and it's working fine. He'll ask me if I've checked my connection (which I've done several times before I called), checked my modem (which is brand new and working fine), and suggest I get a new one (which I've also done, now I own 2, and both are working fine). After this, he'll tell me that Xfinity can send out someone to check my wires for me, at my expense of course. It'll cost me about a hundred dollars. Since this is a brownout, it'll be back on by the time the technician arrives 2 days later, but I'll still have to pay for it.

I pay Xfinity $79 a month for internet, and half the time it's down. Maybe not mathematically 50%, but very frequent, and is there ever a "good" time for internet to go out? I do use my home internet for some work applications, and it stinks when I can't do my job because of these brownouts. This service is terrible, I know when I move I'm definitely not bringing Xfinity with me.

Horrible service! RUN

Horrible customer service. They tell you are on a recorded line however they never have any notes or info from previous call. You have to wait on hold for 50min-2 hours to get representative. Last time I called to cancel an MLB package I never ordered. I was told it was canceled. They still billed me for it for another 3 months. I canceled cable on July 15 and they still took out autopay payment on Aug 1st. For cable and MLB package I have tried to cancel for months. I called and spoke to manager for 1hour 45min and she hung up on me. WORST SERVICE AND WASTE OF TIME EVER.

I have a 2 years contract with home security service internet and Tv. Today I was thinking to add 2 cell phone services to my bundle so I called them. After waiting for all of their nonsense Advartase-announcements and I was at the point of having a break down someone from the India-Pakistan area picked up the phone.
At that point I realized that this is not the company I want to deal with so I chose to transfer my mobile phones to another company.
Since I have a 2 years contract for the tv, internet and security unfortunately I have to wait for the contract to be over.
For the future I rather choose to pay little more than being under a contract with an unprofessional company.
Very often they have to system down sometimes for days but you still have to pay the full price.

Over Charging

The internet and cable are working fine. But the billing keeps changes. They keep increasing my monthly payment. $5 to $28 I have not added or changed my service. I had the service for 3 months so far and they keep increasing my payment. Not one payment has been the same. I don't get it! When I call about the issue, they tell me there could be a glish, they say it's all fixed. Then the next month, it's increased to a different amount again.

If you pay by check from Lancaster Pa to the business office in Philadelphia Pa it takes over 13 days for your check to post. Then they charge a$10.00 late fee! Great for a widow on Social Security! Thanks u hope your bonus is worth it.

They routinely tell costumers there is no outages to hide there horrible service, on top of that they love to try to steal more of your money by "sending a tech out" knowing darn well its their crappy service that's to blame. Their customer support is a joke that hangs up on their customers time and time again. They wanna Nicole and dime us by forcing us to buy multiple cable TV packages, if we want to see most of our channels. Basically breaking them in sub groups, elderly, mid aged and young demographics. I encourage everyone to drop them as a provider until they fix these issues, if not they will just continue to rake in our money while doing little to nothing fix the constant problems we all face.

I would never sign up for Xfinity again. As I write this, we have no internet service after going to several Xfinity locations to get a working docsis router modem (per customer service via phone), only to be told they don't have any. Our service died and they can't fix it for 5 days. We've spent at least 6 hours on the phone where they constantly lie. They said they would overnight a modem and that was one of the lies. They won't give you a ticket number and there is no accountability for anything they say

The Xfinity account number written on the bills: 8777 *******705
I am not sure what is going on with the Xfinity billing department. I have already called and chatted with Xfinity's agents to make sure that there were no more Xfinity services at my address. They have confirmed with me so many times that I wouldn't be charged anything anymore because there is no Comcast Xfinity services under my name at my address. It turned out that I receive a bill today with the amount due $159.73, and new charges due Aug, 11,2022 of $40.19. Is this a mistake or should there be someone needed to be fired for trying to steal money from previous customers in this pandemic time?

Worst customer service in existence
July 28, 2022

I very often encounter issues with billing that I need to address with a representative. Good luck getting in contact with them after talking in circles on the phone with their remote machine. Difficult to cancel even when the cancellation has been officially put through on the bill. Had to call multiple times because they kept pushing their service and attempting to charge me for more months. Please choose any other service in your area if you can because I (and many other of their users) have never dealt with a worse company.

Flicker

Once again the lights flicker, not even enough that clocks are affected and 15 minutes I'm still waiting. Every time it flickers programs interrupted for who knows how long. Storms are not necessary.

Xfinity lies

I asked for an extension on my bill and they agreed and said sure no problem. Then they overdrafted my account a couple days later. I called them and they said, oh well we can't help you with that. So they straight up LIED. They could have said we can't do that when I asked,, but they didn't. They agreed to extending my bill another week and now my account will have a ton of overdraft fees as I wait to get paid at my new job. I will leave Xfinity and never ever return or recommend them. Liars, I'm not gonna lie. This is the worst a company has every screwed me. Unbelievable.

I used to have Verizon Fios until I moved and the only service by me was Xfinity. Not only did it take 4 hours to get my wifi set up when I moved, it also would disconnect every other month. Don't bother. It's the worst.

Do not use Xfinity. I would have given them 0 stars if that was an option. Their customer service is the worst and they are crooks. They charged us for equipment that we never received and don't want and they refuse to take it off the bill. Every time I call I am on the phone for around an hour, being put on hold and transferred to yet another person that is unable to help me. We have not had this service very long and I have spent hours on the phone with them, trying to correct their mistakes. Nothing has been corrected. Again, do not use this company, it is awful

WORST CARRIER EVER!

They had technical problems for weeks and our internet was intermittent! I was calling, calling, calling and calling! I kept calling, and kept getting routed to a robo response! They kept telling me I was in the process of a re-set. FYI - I am sending this as the robo caller hung up for the 8TH TIME SAYING i NEEDED TO WAIT TO TALK TO SOMEONE BECAUSE I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF RE-BOOTING. Really? I am on the internet! I WISH I had never switched from verizon. The only advantage was the voice activated remote, but it in no way out weighs all the technical issues I've incurred. RUN.

I recently moved and disconnected my Xfinity account. I had a balance which I was told I could pay the remaining amount the following month. Not even a month past that I disconnected my services and I was sent to collections without getting a heads up. For 200$ of my remaining bill. Totally ruined my credit when I had made my monthly payment at the time it was due when I returned my devices in the store. I also registered my account under Military which I never received a discount, I ended up calling to verify and they sent me a gift card for their lack of service which they offered once I signed up. I was a loyal customer for 3 years. Do not recommend this cable service, not only because of what occured but because they have alot of outages and the internet was constantly going out while I was working from home.

I switched my MobilePhone in December 2022X Finity mobile I've had nothing but problems with my caller ID other peoples name coming up when I call someone so no one knows who I am people stored in my phone contacts are coming off as no caller ID I've tried getting this fixed for six weeks and no one has fixed it and no one cares worst company I've ever seen people should boycott this company until they lower the rate with the monopoly that they have
