WORLDSIM is a SCAM, phony and extremely fraudulent company. It is even shameful to deem it as a company because if you look at the website, it's a joke because they claim to be a small team situated somewhere in the UK. The descriptions on their website is completely false and misleading.
They say that they can provide you with an international sim card with a US number. But all their numbers are sent out with a UK number, if you are even lucky enough to get the sim card delivered to you. They charge you 25€ (I KID YOU NOT) just for the postage from the UK to Germany and more if you are located somewhere else. This is a bloody joke because they promise you that you will receive the product within 3 days. But they actually ship out the product on the 3rd day so the product won't even reach you in 2 weeks. They then ship out your product with the wrong address or the wrong name even after contacting them multiple times to inform them about the right address, and then they have the audacity to mention on their website that they have a return policy but will only return the product amount but will not refund the postage amount, lol. That is if you even actually receive the product. And then comes the part where you have to contact them every single day for more than a month to fight for the refund and they will lend you a deaf ear saying they will look into it. Nothing gets done until you get sick of it and either let it go and choose to take it as a lesson learnt or just choose to initiate a chargeback on your credit card. Please take this from me, this fraudulent company will do everything wrong and then some more to make it the worst experience for you and all to avoid refunding you.
Most of the 5 star reviews for WORLDSIM are fake and were written by themselves and you can deduce it if you look at them closely. No one, I repeat, NO ONE who has experienced their service would even think of leaving a half decent review for this garbage.
They have a blog which is basically generic articles written by AI and half of them do not even make sense.
The "company" can be very closely compared to one of the scam call centres located in India. It works similarly and their customer support is THE WORST! If you make the mistake of buying anything from them, just forget your money or any hopes of getting a refund because not only will you not get your product that you ordered, but if you ask for a refund, they will act dumb and will make you frustrated enough to just give up trying to get a refund. They reply to your email with generic automated responses and they get you nowhere.
If you want to waste your money and give scammers your personal card info, then WORLDSIM is your best choice. If you want good service and a product that you actually ordered, then STAY AWAY from this scam of a website. It's criminal that they even exist.
Please, I implore you to make the right choice, check their website out, trust your gut feeling and avoid this fraudulent company.

I have used worldsim for a number of trips now as my domestic provider has excessively high roaming rates. Works very well and is backed up with great customer service when i had a few account issues (Thanks Cathy).

I just returned from Japan, where I gave WorldSIM one last chance. There was one network that I could occasionally get WorldSIM to work with. I had no service in Yokohama or Tokyo. My wife has Google Fi, and it worked flawlessly everywhere we went.

This was a bit better than past experiences in Israel, Tanzania and Caribbean locations where WorldSIM was useless, no coverage at all, though their website claims otherwise. I've spent many hours of vacation time trying to get WorldSIM to work. Only in parts of Europe and the United States has it been somewhat dependable. It's extremely brittle, unpredictable, and will stop working for no apparent reason. It's definitely not something you want to rely on if you truly need cellular service, or value your time.

Other issues I've had include inconsistency between information on their web site, printed instructions, and customer service responses. I've been charged for calls I did not answer, or when incoming calls were supposed to be free, and for using data when WorldSIM wasn't working at all. It will switch from a preferred operator and nail you with predatory charges. I was charged $24.90 and $10.25 for data sessions of 1.658 Mb and 0.6 Mb. I was refused refunds/credit when WorldSIM did not perform properly, and received frustrating customer service responses that ignored my questions and/or claimed things that were not true.

I'm fairly astute when it comes to technology, but after more than 7 years of frustrations, using at least 4 different phones, I give up! I am somewhat baffled by all the positive reviews here. I hope this one will help someone make a better choice than I did.

Ive used WorldSIM for a couple of years, and my most recent experiences cause me to downgrade my rating from uneven to poor and recommendation from try it at your own risk to avoid.

I recently took a trip to Tanzania and hoped my WorldSIM would provide data services while there. Unfortunately, it failed to cooperate. I received some WorldSIM messages, but was unable to connect to the internet. I also tried during our layover in Amsterdam on the way home with identical results.

Nevertheless, I was somehow consuming data and charged for it! I dialed customer service once, realized it would be an extremely expensive call and terminated after one ring, before I was connected. I was charged $1.54 for that. Once I was home, I used their cumbersome online support system to ask for help solving the problem. I took the time to detail every step Id taken, every setting Id made trying to get their product to work. Since I received no benefit and wasted precious time during an expensive trip trying to use my WorldSIM, I also requested that the charges made be reimbursed.

In 3 of 4 aggravating attempts, I got absolutely no response to my technical inquiry. The agents didnt bother to read and address my issue. From the punctuation and spelling errors, they are clearly outsourcing their customer service, and English is a challenge for those responding. Some of the responses included, you have used data this is the reason you are charged, you can check your each usage by login your account. There is not any issue we found, you have successfully used data, everything is fine from our end. We checked your account and found many data session, that is why you got charged and I want to extend my sincerest apologies for the negative experience that you had with us however as i checked on 25-Feb-18 06:51:52 you got charge of $1.54 beacuase you made a call to customer service it is chargeable call that the reason you charged.

Not only do they have an extraordinarily finicky product, and that is putting it in a charitable way,
I dealt with the insanity of them treating my requests for technical support as billing inquiries and focusing on the charges. I had to beg them to read the entire thread, explained again that I did not successfully use data, and repeatedly ask why if everything is fine I was unable to connect to the internet in multiple countries using WorldSIM preferred operators using their instructions and an unlocked phone that works fine with my normal domestic data plan.

Part of the problem with WorldSIM is that they do not provide clear instructions detailing the steps needed to make their product work, so its easy to go wrong. The printed instructions that came with their product, the (limited) responses to technical inquiries Ive made, and information I found searching their website are not in agreement.

Tip for consumers:
Check out TMobile. I understand their standard service includes international text and data, with calling for 0.20/minute in most locations.

Funktioniert unzuverlässig - Support setzt auf Hinhaltetaktik

Ich hatte zwei SIM-Karten für einen Asien-Aufenthalt bestellt. Hier in Deutschland funktionierten sie testweise sehr gut. Allerdings sah das in den asiatischen Ländern (Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Kambodscha, Singapur) ganz anders aus: mal funktionierte es, mal nur sporadisch, mal überhaupt nicht.

Support war telefonisch nicht erreichbar. Hilfestellung bezüglich richtig Providerauswahl auf Webpage nicht zu finden. Insgesamt ist die Webpage chaotisch.

Ich kann das Produkt nicht empfehlen, da man vorher nicht weiss, ob es funktioniert oder nicht. Insbesondere, wenn man darauf angewiesen ist, ein absolutes Nogo!

Ich habe den Support gebeten, mir ein Guthaben von ca. 18 USD zu erstatten. Hier werden immer wieder dieselben Fragen gestellt. Ich werde an andere Stellen verwiesen und eine Erstattung wird nicht vorgenommen. Ich habe den Eindruck, man macht das so lange, bis der Kunde dann genervt aufgibt.

Mein Empfehlung: Finger weg von WorldSIM, sowohl was Funktionalität als auch Support angeht.

I bought a WorldSim only 2 months ago in May 2021. Spent the last 2 months informing my business contacts of the change in phone number.
Like everyone else I received the sms/email informing me of the expiration of the SIM card (and phone number with it) on July 31,2021 with 7 days notification time. This is absolutely ridiculous. They should have known about this change in May and at least give clients ample notification of such a major change.
Never again with WorldSim!

I bought the first Worldsim card 10 years ago at KLM. 2 years ago I bought two more for my employees for Africa. When I locked into my account recently, I had no access anymore to my 3 WorldSim cards which were loaded with app. 140 EUR. So I wrote to the customer service. The answer was: You can buy other cards... This is how they make business. I am still waiting for an answer of a decider at WorldSim in case of a cost-free solution or paying back my deposit, but I am sure - nothing will happen. Be warned with WorldSim.

Tip for consumers:
Look for a company who has a real and easy customer support. Worldsim is really bad in this case. Or organize a lokal card which is normally much cheaper. Even for internet access.

I have used this company for years but it has just deteriorated progressively over time to the point where it's now completely dysfunctional. An employee currently in Spain contacted them this morning it said that their phone line (UK) was not taking calls then he got eventually through to someone on another line it asked for a number to call him back on but it seemed like the whole system is not working he's not keeping his fingers crossed because I warned him it's very unlikely they will return the call.

I don't know what has gone wrong with the company it used to be really excellent but it's so bad now it's frankly completely on usable and when you look at the reviews you can see that people are not even getting the product it's quite obvious they are tottering on the point of collapse.

The only place this card ever works is in the UK! I have tried it in AU, NZ, Spain, Germany, Mexico, US, Canada etc and it's a complete and utter waste of time occasionally you can use it to receive calls but can't make calls out other times it won't receive or enable you to make calls. Frankly it is the most horrific option for travel and causes so much stress it is absolutely 100% best avoided. If you contact support they go to all sorts of nonsense about taking the card out putting it back in waiting two minutes it just goes on and on I have another card from the Channel Islands which you just switch on and it works every time I just don't understand why with WorldSIM there is so much complication and nonsense. Looking elsewhere you can see that the whole service is clearly an absolute joke unless of course it's one of these positive reviews or something referring to someone called Annie which seems to be some sort of reply by the company themselves. I looked on Trustpilot and it was quite obvious that the reviews were in many cases false, why on earth Trustpilot themselves have not identified this I have no idea because it must be absolutely obvious to anyone with an ounce of common sense.

Daniel was extremely helpful. I was looking for options for an upcoming trip across a few countries and WorldSIM seemed like a good option.

After a very useful online chat with Daniel he clarified that they can be used in smart watches and if purchased under the same name i can keep all family numbers in one account - which is much more convenient to top up and manage.

I have been using their number for a year now and all of a sudden they send me an email that my sim will stop working in less than 5 days and the number will be lost. I have all my business contacts and bank accounts on this number how do I switch to a new number in 5 days?
Customer service is even more pathetic! Please be very careful buying their numbers!

I purchased my first WORLDSIM getting ready to use it on my trip next week. Just not sure how the SIM works. Rose (agent) was there to hold my hand about the entire process - feel a lot more confident. My review is only based on her support. I still have yet to see if the SIM works once I arrive in the country and how far the credit will last. Will write another review once I get to use WorldSIM in action.
