I have been working as a writer for Writing Creek for quite some time now, and I must say that my experience with this company has been nothing short of frustrating and disheartening. It is disheartening to see how this company manipulates its writers, stresses them out, and pays them a mere fraction of what the clients pay.
One of the most infuriating aspects of Writing Creek is their flawed system that detects questions as plagiarism when uploading work with typed-in answers. This not only hampers the writer's progress but also affects their overall performance. It is incredibly unfair that a slight mistake or misunderstanding can lead to the suspension of an account for an entire week when such issues could easily be resolved within seconds.
Furthermore, the support team at Writing Creek is utterly unhelpful. Instead of addressing writers' concerns and providing solutions, they simply refer writers to the manager, who takes an eternity to respond to emails and does so in a rude manner. This lack of efficiency and professionalism is highly disappointing.
What adds insult to injury is the fact that Writing Creek fails to adjust its flawed system, despite numerous complaints from writers. As a result, writers like myself, who have completed over 500 orders and received a high rating of 4.9 from clients, are still subjected to a composite score of less than 10%. On the other hand, writers with fewer orders and lower ratings somehow manage to maintain a composite score of 60%. This inconsistency and lack of fairness are deeply frustrating.
After enduring such stress and unfair treatment, I have decided to seek employment with another writing company. Writing Creek has pushed me to my limits, and I can no longer tolerate their inefficient system and lack of support. I hope that other writers considering working with this company will take my experience into account and choose a more reputable and fair platform.

Don't be fooled by their tactics. They are good at scamming their clients and writers. If you love your money stay away from them.

They advertise ‘for beginners'. I've been a freelance writer for many years, with published works. Not to mention a bachelors degree, with many essays under my belt.
The details of entry tests was ridiculous.
They lock you out of the account and won't disclose why you were declined. When I contacted them ask, they were extremely rude and abruptly ended the chat. I would find somewhere that is more customer based, if they treat potential employees this way, I'm sure they are just as rude to customers who pay them.

I believe this is a company who draws people in, collects personal info and data, then solicits and sells them to marketing firms online for compensation. It's a growing business and it's shady. I am submitting information to the government and law enforcement, because I feel there is a bigger underlying issue here. If I'm wrong, we'll at least they have been looking into for legal services.

Make sure you read those terms and services. Just WOW! They can change anything they want, whenever they want, you can't do a thing about it. They just have to post them to their platform. Sheesh! Steer clear folks…. Read their entire terms….

So, it has been a month on this platform and I have mixed feelings. Everything except the payment method(waiting 14 days for the payment to be released into your "Available Balance" and almost the same time to get it in your Payoneer)works fine when you are a "Beginner" or "Intermediate" writer. I have noticed that for some reason, as soon as I reached the "Advanced" rank after completing fifty orders, the number of orders I can bid on and the ratio of bids being accepted has drastically dropped. I was expecting the situation to be the opposite of this but I do not know how things work here since there is a lack of transparency on the inner workings. I emailed the support staff but I just got a generic copy-paste reply which would have made sense if I was not getting enough orders at the "Beginner" and "Intermediate" ranks. I do not want to follow the herd on this platform and jump to the conclusion that this is a worthless company, so far I've had a good overall experience but if this situation of not getting orders continues then I will have to write another honest review.

I worked for this company for 2 years. As other employees have written in the comments, this company is really opaque. First, the company doesn't have a phone number, and you can't call them as an employee. Secondly, I confirm that the photos and names of their colleagues are not real. Thirdly, I was also interviewed in Zoom, and the manager did not turn on the camera. Fourth, emails from them come from German IP addresses and are often flagged as spam in the mail due to the software they use to hide their location. They may be doing this to avoid paying taxes. Fourthly, I have worked in many companies and followed my colleagues in LinkedIn. Based on the feedback below, out of curiosity, I asked if any employees had a social network. But none of the employees are on social media. This proves that employee data has been spoofed because, in all global companies, you can easily find information about their employees on the website. For 20 years of work in different countries and companies, I have not met a single company that would hide social networks and the names of its employees—I have no doubt that the company is running a shadow business. Having learned these facts, I will quit this job. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone even though they provide some work. You can easily become a victim of scammers.

Online chat operators constantly change face photos using them from the Internet, letters to my mail come from IPs from different countries, the company is clearly engaged in fraudulent activities.

Which is part of test, today i received an email from recruitment team that your application is declined and we cant disclosed the reason the response was shocking for me you are getting the test from an applicant an telling him that we had declined your application but cant tell you the reason. Totaly non professional and biased attitude of the company. What I understand is that they are getting work from peoples and giving that work to new applicant as a test an then declining there application with no reason but with there test writing an essay article or any other work they are earning money. I strongly recommend the people who are applying on writing creek to please don't waste there time an energy. They are fraud people just getting work from there regular clients and giving that work to new applicant.
They are just earning money from new applicant work.

I wrote the prescribed test in May 2021 and was rejected on the basis of "undisclosed reasons," like many others here. On enquiry with their 24/7 support, I was told it was because my essay was not up to scratch. I may not be a stellar writer, but I've garnered awards for my writing and went on a Summer Program with Duke University in my country for my standard of work.
When I tried to apply again and was told my account was declined (in Jan 2022), a Support Staff named Maddy let me know that I could reapply within 3 months from the original application date. This is obviously fallacious, considering I applied in May 2021. I was then directed to another Staffer named Jolene today (17th Jan 2022), who let me know I can only contact the platform for assistance through email and that this so-called Support can do nothing for me. She also declined to let me speak to anyone senior to her, proclaiming herself as the Shift Manager, indicating a suspicious lack of internal structure to the platform. If I can talk to support, why can't they direct me to someone within the appropriate department for my query? And even if that isn't possible, why is there no avenue for my case to be forwarded so I can simply follow up and don't have to go through the same long-winded explanation each time? She also informed me that my only recourse was applying with an alternate mail - which platform endorses something like that? Its incredibly suspicious and worrying.
After dodging my questions for a while and not allowing me to leave a complaint on their Support experience, I terminated the chat and found these reviews. It's clear from the responses dating back to 2020 that "Kim T" or any other representative of Writing Creek on this platform simply responds with "We are as disturbed with this as you are. Please forward your XYZ Number/Details," with no real resolution. It's a shameful endeavour and unfortunately pulls in several individuals like me looking to make their skills profitable.
