As for me, WriterBay gathered all the benefits of the freelancing job: working home conveniently, nobody disturbs you, nobody argues with you on the ground of your work. You are the Boss and manage your schedule, you influence your own salary. That is awesome. If you work more you earn relevantly. This place is almost ideal for me.
There is only one thing that makes me sad from time to time. It's the competition. Sometimes it gets difficult to receive the project and you have to wait for several days to catch it. Although, it seems more friendly with their Application and especially Telegram, as you receive all the notifications right there. Good implementation, staff!

Writerbay follows professional writing and cooperation standards with their writers. However, there are certain issues that must be taken care of. For example, being an advanced writer, I was unable to avail auto-take orders despite the fact that my status allowed me to take such orders. Subsequently, I was forced to contact with the support for resolving the issue and many times they said the quality assurance would consider your bid.
If this is the case, what is the reason for having different promotions?

I've been working for Writerbay since 2016. Once I understood the order requirements and the way clients expect orders to be formatted and completed, my ratings improved and so did the payments. During the peak season Writerbay was a crucial source of financial support for me and since then I've relied on Writerbay. They always pay on time, if fines are imposed automatically, after explaining to Help Desk they are reversed. The support team has always been very helpful. Of course there have been times when I have disagreed with revision requests but overall, Writerbay is as tough and fair as any good employer. The only thing is that being from Pakistan, receiving my payments is a hassle even through Payoneer and I suffer from heavy losses due to associated fees. If Writerbay can provide Global Bank Transfers directly to writer accounts in countries like Pakistan it will make life very easy for writers from Pakistan. We would lose less money this way. Otherwise Writerbay has allowed me to save and supplement my regular income. It's not a scam and you're always paid on time.

Allow me provide a review of Writerbay.com. The portal is an original enterprise, which has created its own universe, which is robust and clear cut, once you discover its inner mechanism. I write for Writerbay.com for several years already and I am gradually appreciating and learning on the philosophy behind the system and rules. My performance is getting more and more stable as I comprehend the structures and algorythms behind. Such a complex task of providing new intellectual assets to people, who may be in time distress and who may have very subjective ideas on the content, is indeed a massive and complicated task. Writerbay.com managers do a great job in being able to structure and provide standards in such environment.

I am happy with the wide array of choices in the website. The support provided by the website to the writers is commendable. There is opportunity for growth as well.

But i have a few suggestions,
If the writer has asked for clarifications and the reply from the client is getting delayed, it would be better if the due date be adjusted taking into consideration the days lost for the writer waiiting for clarificationfr

Writerbay is a flexible platform offering quality work from writers treating them responsibly. I am satisfied with type and payment for works but at times feel that extra work demanded by customers when notified to team should look carefully asking further payment for the same. My experience with Writerbay has generally been a good one. I say "generally" because their batting average over the past 8 years has been positive overall, with some major and minor hiccups here and there.

Pros:
Most of the support agents are easy to talk to and work with, with decent response times. Almost all of them have good people skills, with a number that really stand out. Some of the cases and options are fun, too, such as movie reviews and tasks involving creative writing. There are contests every now and then.

Cons:
I agree with some of the other reviews here that getting revision requests can be a pain, especially when the timing is off and the fact that you get fined for them. I've run into a few seemingly unreasonable clients that made me want to pull all my hair out. Sometimes, you can apply for a case and not get it due to reasons that you're not privy to.

Overall, it's a good site with good people. I cannot say that I'm completely satisfied with all of their policies so I have learned to make the best of the things I do not agree with and that I have no control over. It's not a perfect service yet it is good enough to get me to come back again and again over the years.

I have been associated with Writerbay since 2015, had many wonderful moments with the company as we writers get a lot of freedom here. It suits my working style as I can evaluate the orders before I can accept the orders, apply for orders that I really like working on, refuse orders that I am not able to work on and talk to the people at the company if I have any issues so that they are amicably resolved. I never had issues with payments even once in all these years. Considering all these, for me, this was the best possible site.

They are ok. You will get paid for your work if it is good. But I'm writing this review because I've just had it!

They assign you to urgent orders with the minimum salary without even adjusting it for the urgency. You change your schedule try to think how to move things around so that you can help them out. But they refuse to increase your salary the amount you want and instead of offering what they can - they just reassign you. Don't worry that you've been on edge for the last half hour racing to the computer to HELP THEM, nooo. They don't care. Those nerves are on you.

Oh and they make promises during high season and don't follow through when the low season comes. So next time they promise you something, make sure you follow up write away or they'll just screw you over.

Don't get me started on the automatic fines they have. So a client sends the order for revision in the middle of the night, you don't hear the email ping because you are obviously sleeping and get find. In the morning, it turns out that another day IS available but to reimburse the fine, you have to wait till the order is approved. And then you have to REMEMBER to ask for it SEVERAL TIMES in both chat/ message/help desk to actually get them to reimburse the fine.

And just keep a close eye on your payment statistics. It may turn up with fines you don't even get informed about. And they might even reimburse them and/or give you bonuses, but you also won't be informed about.

Just screw them.

Oh and for a joke. They have orders with negative deadlines available even during low season (check the image). Cause you know, you are expected to complete them 2 hours before you are even assigned the order and for a mere $5.75 which is actually a bigger salary then many other writers get.

As far as the urgent orders are concerned, we can assure you that we always try to increase the salary as much as we can in each particular case in order to meet both client’s and writer’s expectations from the order. However, there are cases when there is no way we can increase the price, so we are forced to reassign the writer and look for a new one asap as the order is an urgent one.
As for the fines, that is true that we have a system of auto fines and and you may find all the information about them in our Fines Policy. If you find any of the fines (both automatically and manually imposed) unreasonable, please leave your request at the Help Desk and we will process it as soon as the order gets approved. So, there will be no need to contact us several times. Furthemore, we want to inform you that the orders with the red (negative) deadlines are the ones where we are still waiting for the extension from the client. We cannot extend the deadline without client’s confirmation; that is why, from time to time we have such projects hanging in our system in order for our writers to check them and let us know whether they can complete any of them and how much time they will need for it. Btw, we would like to remind you that sharing the screenshots or photos of your control panel or the 'Available orders' page to the third parties is strictly forbidden by our Privacy Policy (https://www.writerbay.com/privacy-policy.html). Hope for your understanding on the matter!

Hi,
Having worked for over 5 years with WriterBay, I specifically like their robust writer portal, timely promotions, thoughtful bonuses, prompt payment schedule and awesome 24 x 7 customer service. They are very strict in evaluation of papers before they are delivered to client, but this is a blessing in disguise for writers to go through an excellent learning curve and master their knowledge of citations and referencing styles. In case of any issues, they are considerate in mediating between the writer and the client. I am fully satisfied with the association and it is a great place for writers.

I have been writing academic papers for this site for some 3 years and the experience has been very satisfying. There are always enough topics to write on and the compensation is reasonable. The website does not make any unreasonable demands on the writer.

It's not a bad place to practice your writing skills, as long as you pay close attention to details, and are willing to work with a customer service staff that may or may not be as proficient (in writing or speaking) English as you are.

If you are proficient areas where there are fewer professional opportunities for earning, this isn't a bad gig (again, if you are willing to watch the details). It is difficult to get rich with this gig, but it can produce a little spending money.

I've been a writer for writerbay for two years. It is a great way to make money even in slower seasons work is available. I enjoy learning new things and improving on my writing. I have learned with time to stay in control. I don't accept orders unless I have all the information I need to do the paper. If you pick up a paper and the client doesn't give you information on it, you are still responsible and if you try to get out of doing the paper because of it, you can be fined. I've had clients not even respond to my request for documents and the order stayed in clarification pending days after the deadline then the client finally responds with a one word response without the needed documents and the clock starts ticking in the middle of the night. I pick up one order at a time and pace myself. Clients change deadlines when you are already working on other deadlines. I can't say I recommend depending on them full-time because it can get frustrating. You are an on call writer (24-7). It doesn't matter what you are doing or if you are away from your computer. If the client or staff don't approve an extension on a revision you will lose money that you earned. I think it's unfair just because the pay is very low already. Clients can be really rude and it's not addressed by Writerbay. I just feel there is a low regard for the writers. It's no fun getting revision requests due in an hour when you are at the grocery store on a paper you turned in two weeks ago.

My advice to writers is to stay in control and make the best of the opportunity by focusing on quality over quantity. Be careful about picking up so many papers at once to make more money. You can overlook papers that don't have the information you need or clients that don't respond that make the opportunity more stressful.

I've worked with WriterBay off and on for a few years. As a writing professional, it's a great way to pick up some extra funds along the way. It can be hard to squeeze it in to a busy schedule and sometimes customers want instant revisions and the emails can come in with notifications about the revisions when I have a full day planned or am even asleep. If I have time to solely dedicate to working, I don't mind it at all. If I have other things come up, like when my computer crashed, they really weren't super understanding. They can be a bit slave driving and not reasonable with time frame. If you aren't available RIGHT NOW, you get stupid fines for even being 15 minutes late

They make the customer pay for revisions under certain circumstances. They charge the clients for the revisions, but then bully the writers into doing the revisions for free, threatening them with fees for not completing the revision or closure of account. It's about the type of behavior that you would expect from a company with its headquarters from a third world country They think that they are the only company in the entire world who hires writers, so they run their company with a sweatshop atmosphere. The revision policy is just one of the ways they rip off the writers and make them spend endless hours on orders for low pay when they are charging the clients for the revisions all along.

I just started, but I'm looking for other work. Very disappointing staff. Very aggressive customer service team. They force you to work for free through bullying you around with fines and threats. They would rather chop off their own nose that work together with the writers. In addition, they claim to have all of this business, but the staff does not assign much to you. I woudn't bother with them. I think all of those orders and all of the top earners claiming to earn thousands of dollars per month are fake. I don't see how people can earn all of that money when the staff will not assign you orders. I think that's a lot of the problem. Instead of opening up the orders available to everyone, they keep all of the top orders for their pets, and then, they have auto-assign orders for everyone else. The reason why they put that on some of the orders is because it's all of the orders no one wants, so they hope the writers will feel desperate enough to take them. They run around bragging about their auto-assign orders as if it's the best invention ever, but you get on there, and they literally offer the coffee grounds, the swill at the bottom of the coffee pot. Horrible, really. They do not keep all of the orders out for everyone to see. They have top orders they assign their pets and that's it. No one else sees them or gets them. I actually know this as a fact according to what i learned and what I experienced. One of their aggressive staff members yelled that at me when he was telling me I'll never amount to anything in the company. This is why it is much better that you deal with this company as little as possible. They might be very polite, but you cannot trust any of them. They lie a lot, and then when you feel comfortable enough, they pull something. Like, they'll shorten your deadline or they'll add extra work on the order so they can charge you when you ask them to reassign it. No, much better if you dont' trust them at all. You're better off swimming around in a shark tank. Your chances of survival are better. Oh, and just to show you that they ARE liars, they keep claiming in the replies here that they are located in England. This is a fantasy. This is a communication I just received as to their true location:
