Great source of international news... nice to see a fearless attack on unethical Chinese ambitions and other Asian problems. Better than any N. American mainstream outlets and faster at reporting breaking news too. Star reporters obviously opinionated and biased but the bias is not hidden and can be entertaining. Makes you love Indian courage. But they obviously also censor themselves as much as other news sites and obviously neglect to report on major issues people want to hear about. They report on how India is suing the WHO for lies the World Health Organization is spreading and endorsing, but fail to report publicly on how ivermectin use has turned the tide on covid in India. They never reported on the under-estimated and hugely under-reported rates of infection and death in India, but they gave better quality and more medical information of covid treatments than any news outlet including the CDC or NIH or Dr. Fauci in USA or other western countries. They often make live verbal bloopers which they do not correct, I. E. Sometimes using thousands instead of hundreds for instance and mis-stating numbers during live news. Top announcers will deliberately use words and make false statements/accusations to sensationalize news data, with no evidence at all and no possible source. Eg... Choosing to talk about "murders" or "genocide" instead of reporting about re-discovery of long-abandoned regular gravesites of staff and students on old school sites, newly reported upon after decades of being forgotten in abandoned school properties in Canada (which is obviously not an uncommon fate of private cemeteries on private properties over the space of a century or a few decades). Canadian media hyped these forgotten acre stories also and is as guilty of lacking journalistic professionalism as Wion or any other news outlet in the world when sensationalizing imaginary worst-case scenarios instead of doing a little digging into Canadian population childhood death rates and causes of death since 1905 (Spanish flu, polio, diphtheria, whooping cough, measles etc etc etc and other diseases which did not spare native children any more and probably less than they spared other Canadian kids in past periods of history). Being of native Canadian heritage myself and identifying as a proud Canadian, I wonder at the lack of intellectual curiosity or interest in historical truth of all journalists today. Our grandmothers and great grandmothers all lost children to disease and illness across the land, as did they also adult friends and siblings. Mothers and grandmothers across the land who never saw the inside of a residential school have always never allowed husbands or male relatives to watch kids or babysit their kids for same reason as everyone suspects any death or injury or rape at the hands of the church, the prison, the jail, or the government forces of any government in the world. Nobody understands better the extremely high risk and dangers of sexual violence in India than do Indian journalists, and the entire rest of the world. Let s face it. Some places of the world make the institutional Christian record of sexual abuse look insignificant in comparison, which does not make it less criminal. There were and still are abuses of children all across the land in all strata and locations as well, same as today. If people or journalists like to believe or have us believe that abuse only happened in religious private schools and that everybody buried in old once-marked and lamented graves died of it, than they are being deliberately stupid and dishonest and asking the rest of us to join them in stupidity.
