“Worst delivery service for online Grocery”

Gurinder S.
1/20/24

I experienced the most unsatisfactory delivery service. The designated delivery timeframe was 11 am to 12 pm, but the driver arrived around 3 pm, consuming our entire day. Subsequently, upon arrival, he refused to wait for 5 minutes, displaying impatience in front of the building, where elevator usage takes time. Threatening to return the groceries to Walmart, he began unloading them outside, claiming inadequate payment for carrying them upstairs. Additionally, he criticized the quantity of our order, disregarding the convenience we sought through the paid grocery delivery service. This experience contradicted the purpose of a smooth transaction, and I hope this review reaches both the relevant personnel and potential customers considering Walmart's grocery delivery service.

Walmart store 3011 Northland Calgary,
There was only one person on full service, it was lunch hour and very busy!

Tip for consumers:
I went thought full service check out it was ridiculously slow, only one person on. ( who was slow and very unsure of his job/ role) It was quit busy during lunch hour many of us rushing to get back to work. More full service tellers needed!

After looking for a specific brand, boxed, frozen food item on sale, I asked for help from two "student-age" Walmart associates. They both looked at the Walmart flyer I had with me and directed me to the meat section. I looked there and couldn't see it. I went back to the two associates and they then pointed to a freezer with bacon and cold meat products, and again the product was not there. It would've been more appropriate for them to have found out where this sale item was located rather than sending me to look in multiple places where it clearly wasn't. I continued to look but couldn't find it, so I left without purchasing said item. This is not the first time, in this particular store, that associates do not assist customers. The location is the Barrie, Ontario store on Bayfield Street North. I will try another Walmart!

Tip for consumers:
It seems like the Associates do not know their product placement very well. They did not attempt to find out for me where the product was and sent me where they "thought" it might be. Not helpful! This store needs to prepare their associates better to assist customers.

Couldn't use the product because I could not find in the store.

Used to order frequently, prices have increased and delivery time is way longer.
Increased price of cat litter I buy by $4-5 a box and 1 months delivery, used to be delivered within 2-3 days!

I like buying, walking around at walmart. Indeed in this pandemic it has been the only place that relaxes my mind.
Unfortunately, recently I noticed when
U go pay at cashier they tend to keep some stuff. I get home, notice something was missing.and went back and they said I forgot it but the cashier was the one putting everything in the plastic bag. This happens twice in the same month

You would think that if they were going to lock up their products they would have associates working in those departments to get the products for customers. And you would think since they have us all scanning our own products at the tills they should have plenty of associates to work the departments. But they don't. And it takes forever to get anyone there to get the items for you. Do better Walmart.

Ordered on Jan 7. My item shipped, or so it said. A week later I received a refund with no explanation. It was sold by Universal Herbs. Poor customer service. Order #*******762. Look it up for yourself

I notified Walmart re: non receipt of a parcel purchased through market place ( Guangzhou Sheng Zhen Ni Zhu Bao You Xian Gong Si). The item was delivered to a wrong address, in a city 2.5 hrs from me.
The market place seller was notified several times with no response. When I can get through to Walmart I get the same scripted response "escalated please wait". Still waiting after a week to hear from the "escalation team" to contact me.

Tip for consumers:
Be careful using Marketplace sellers.

I went to self checkout in Laval 6 machines with only 3 active. My beef, why don't the inacive machines have some kind of indication there down ex red x light or something. I can't beleive that someone bought these machines with out asking a logical question like this. Other clients said I should be more patient. Why be patient with a machine. I perfer to be patient with a person, a machine should be 100% no excuses

I dropped into my Wal-Mart in Airdrie, AB today. I was delighted to see that Wal-Mart had a couple of Check-outs open for people to actually have someone scan my items that I bought. It would have been even nicer if there were a "Bagger" on that same Check-out.

Wal-Mart lost a lot of customers once they went to Self-Check-outs! And they wonder why "theft" from their stores is now at an ALL TIME HIGH. Wake-up Wal-Mart - you caused this problem. You gave people and inch and they will always take a MILE every time!

You thought you were going to SAVE money by making the general public do all the work that your employees use to do. STOP...give your head a shake.

This whole "self-serve thing" took away any CUSTOMER SERVICE that Wal-Mart may have had and just ruined any good reputation that Wal-Mart also may have had. I know many people that have just refused to go back to Wal-Mart once the whole "self-serve B.S." started happening.

Self-serve is often very frustrating; most people DO NOT enjoy scanning their own groceries or other items especially when they are in a rush and then have to stop and look up items like produce etc. This "self-serve thing" does NOT give the majority of the public a warm and enjoyable feeling about shopping at Wal-Mart. It is COLD, IMPERSONAL, FRUSTRATING, and to top it off Wal-Mart lays off all this staff so that they can make the general public do the work for them. How ridiculous is this?

Wal-Mart doesn't decrease their prices because they now have the general public doing their work for them? Wal-Mart you have LOST a ton of dedicated Wal-Mart Shoppers by pushing this "self-serve" business onto your consumers. So when you have to start closing your doors due to losing money (due to theft) and also due to many customers just stopping coming to your stores - you may want to re-think what you have done and get your head out of your butt and get back to "old fashioned Customer Service"! Go back to manning your check-outs with friendly knowledgeable people along with baggers and start making your customers feel like you want them in your stores again.

You are pushing people away and Amazon is starting to look more personable than Wal-Mart. This is NOT the first time you have heard this type of review and it will not be the last. MOST people just HATE what you have done to Wal-Mart and you are not only having a high level of theft in your stores but you have a ton of people that are just NOT coming back to this impersonal cold atmosphere that YOU are responsible for providing to your once loyal Wal-Mart customers.

It may already be too late, Wal-Mart needs to go back NOW and make Wal-Mart even better than before or simply just close your doors and Amazon could likely use another warehouse.

It will be sad to see you go Wal-Mart but you did this to yourself! Sometimes you need to listen to your customers - or what is left of your customers. Good luck Wal-Mart - do the right thing!

I have shopped Walmart produce and have been consistently disappointed. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried three or four different times with the same sad outcome. I purchased a turnip that was rotten inside…peaches that were packaged but well beyond being consumable. Packaged grapes and strawberries are over-ripe and tasteless. Don't waste good gas money trying to save at these locations…Sobey's and President's Choice are far ahead in terms of shelving good produce. Also service is terrible for returns or complaints. We stand in line to spend our hard earned dollars, have to pack our own bags, they squabble over a lousy coupon and in other areas of the store there are no personnel to assist with your shopping needs. Saturday evening shopping is a no no because the shelves are near empty. They no longer offer aim checks but fail to have the supply necessary to meet the consumer's needs. I did so much work at Walmart on my last four shopping trips, that I truly expect to get a T4 slip from them at tax time! Ver, very, disappointed with how this business operates.

Ordered a mini fridge online that was on clearence, when it arrive box was heavily damaged and obviously was going to be damaged. Corners of the fridge were crunch, obviously dropped on the tip and bottom. Some other dents were visible on both sides. The tape for the door was cut opened so looks as if it was opened previously. I called right away to return the fridge and was informed that I could send it in for warranty repair, which was out of the question. Return process was good but had to return vis post office since it was a clearance item. Which I mailed back next day, but I just got an email a week later saying my refund will be returned within 2 billing periods. So upto 2 months for a refund on something that should of never been sent to a customer.
Would upload more photos but they are over limit size

I ordered groceries on line at walmart.ca most of the order came. There were 6 items missing. I got online to see if I could get my items and was told they could only issue a refund. The total for the items was 47.15 without taxes the guy told me that they'll refund 45.11 including taxes. I was typing to show him that it was wrong and he disconnected the chat. I am very disappointed and angry. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I don't have all the items that I need and the stores are closed. I won't be ordering from walmart again.

When I first started shopping at Walmart, I was particularly happy about it bc I knew, it being a big-box-store, it was going to be an end to other businesses in my area like Zellers (God Rest Her Soul - I MISS HER!), Kmart, Wolco, Biway, Consumers, Jupiter, Saans, Wolworth, Safeway, etc... Now, that being said. Amazingly enough, ALL of those stores just mentioned used to litter Sault Ste. Marie, ON. So when I say that I absolutely Fking HATE, DISPISE, LOATH Walmart Canada. I mean I HATE it in a special way! At first, I thought. "Well, maybe this isn't so bad. Their prices seem to be fair, they have all the products I would normally buy at let's say, Zellers, and then some. The customer service is excellent, and so on and so forth. NOW, I say to myself WHAT THE F... HAPPENED!? Some of their items are ridiculously expensive (not unlike everywhere else. Bc of our corrupt, organized crime syndicate, we call the Canadian government). They've discontinued a whole WACK of items that I bought regularly. Hmm, lemme see there's *Ozonol (Walmart pharmacy doesn't carry it anymore.) LIKE FK RIGHT OFF! I would've rathered they get rid of Polysporin than Ozonol ointment (in the "blue" package NOT the green ffs!), they discontinued TSP - for $2.88 for an industrial strength cleaner that lasts probably about 6-months, if not longer, you cant go wrong there. Right? Pfff WRONG. Says the Canadian govt! It got recalled bc of unsafe packaging "apparently" I call BULL$#*!! Its only been package the same way for the past 40+ F*CKING YEARS!. But all of a sudden the wonderful Canadian govt RIPS it from the shelve bc they think we're all f*cking $#*!S... What do they think,.? We're gonna try n EAT the $#*! bc it package in a milk-type carton? I got a little secret for ya... Only adults buy it anyways, kids don't even LOOK at it for Christ sakes. Not in the store and not under the kitchen counter! I'm pretty sure it was fine the way it was, us adults don't need a tutorial from the Canadian govt. TRUST ME! But then again, we cant all be part-time Drama Teachers. Gotta have brains of STEEL for that career boyyyyy! AND WTF happened to the ADULT Liquid Orajel!? That's GONE now too, piss me right off! AND Now, last but certainly NOT least. Customer SERVICE... Hmmm Well Well Well, where should I start.? Actually, I'm just gonna leave that there like that, and you can draw ur own conclusion of what my opinion regarding that subject might be, with the reflection of the other subjects mentioned. I don't think it should be very difficult to come up with something! In my closing thoughts, I'll just say this, Walmart needs to SHAPE BACK UP!. Or SHIP THE F*CK OUT!

Walmart used to be a go-to store because the prices are great for so many things. Unless you have a problem with third world countries making these items we wear every day for just a few dollars a week. If that and that is with a whole family working and slaving to make the shoes, clothes, etc. Of course, that always was in the back of my mind but I could not afford to shop anywhere else. TODAY at least for this location in Maple Ridge if you buy strawberries, they are moldy two days later. If you buy a Vileda mop it seems to be made by a two-year-old or a broken-down machine and is not worth the money you pay for it when it breaks on your first use. The one I bought 3 years ago is still not broken but was getting worn out looking and the new mopheads do not fit on it anymore so I had to get a new one. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY! I am down on my hands and knees again washing it by hand for now. WOOHOO Thank you Smallmart Check out the Noxema I bought there EWWWW Yes that is a crust on top and a hard one.

Tip for consumers:
Do not buy the fresh produce unless you are using it right away or by the next day.

I ordered a large order worth over 200.00 dollars, big mistake. They a different company to ship my order and that company farmed it out to someone else and after waiting the recommended time for my order I had to track down the shipping company they contacted the other shipping company, who said they wouldn't deliver to me I was too far away. It took me two days of talking to them to find this out. I then contacted walmart.ca who told me I would get my money in 3-5 business days. I waited the time and called back to see what was going on; I was then told they needed to do an investigation and it would take 3-5 business days. LONG story short, it took almost a month to get my money for something that wasn't even my fault. If you are going to order from them at all, make it small orders just over the 50.00 free shipping amount and hopefully you will get your order. I myself am scared to order again.

So the 2 walmarts I go to in Calgary, line you up outside like cattle letting in a couple people at a time. Once inside you become a sardine. Nothing in place to keep people apart until you get to the checkouts. A few lines here and there on the floor but and I mean nothing racial but the old chinese women push into your space, touch and move you and physically touch you and move you out of their way. I wish this was only a once off but every single time I've gone to either location, shawnessy or heritage meadows the only distancing or following of regulations you will see is ONLY at the cash registers. You wanna see a cult on organization and procedure? Go to safeway..

After I purchased a $744.99 power lift recyliner from Walmart online, I wasn't happy with the purchase, so I went to return it to my local Walmart store and to my surprise it was refused because it was purchased from a third party seller, but sold from a Walmart store. This third party seller has no phone number, or website, but only a email address was given to me. To top it off this seller from Walmart is located in Asia and only commicates through email ONLY... And only after you purchase the product a copy of your receipt is sent to you through your email address and that's when you learn you cannot return this WALMART PRODUCT. Even though you have no idea that you are not buying products from a Walmart Canada Site that you and only you are responsible to deal with this. I received NO help from WALMART Canada. BUYER BEWARE... This was The most disappointing to me because when you think your purchasing a product from WALMART Canadian store do you get screwed and it's your problem Seriously why would anyone Buy a recycling chair from ASIA through a Walmart Canada Site

Site is often inaccurate in terms of pricing and availability i. E. some items say they are available but when you try to purchase, there is simply no option allowing you to add to your cart. I have had many issues on their site and their customer service is even worse, took 5 days to return my call when the promised me 24 hours. It is obviously less 'crowded' shopping online but the frustration still lies in other areas. All in all, there will always be a 'cost' to the prices we want to pay, Walmart always has the best prices so have no choice but to deal with them.
