I purchased the auto vin review from this site for $1
You can only view it online which is OK for $1 but you have to pay for downloading or printing.
The BIG problem is, just after I paid the $1 charge on my CC I started getting warning about rejected charges for 29.95 & 4.95
Beware of this company
First it's free, then it's $1 then you pay the $1 and they charge your card $29.95! Try to cancel and of course the live chat bot says a team member will email and they never do! A month later and they are trying to charge me $29.95 again! Be better off buying a lemon then giving these people access to your account. Wish could give minus a million stars!
Read the site about the $1 vin report. Ordered one (1) report that didn't tell me much more than the free Vin reports. Was charged $1.00. THEN was charged $29.95. Contacted customer service through Live Chat, and was told I had signed up for "biweekly service". I said I did NOT. No credit was received after 1 week of constant chatting with the company. Had to have my bank dispute and get a new debit card. TERRIBLE COMPANY
This car history had different information than the seller had… even basics such as color of the car and number of previous owners. I would not trust what this company has to say about a car's history. Luckily I only paid $1
Advertising entity VIN History USA (vinhistoryusa.com) Advertises in bold letters why it charges $1 instead of being a no charge site. It says that by charging a dollar it can provide much better quality vin information.
The information provided is quite thin, practically nothing on the search I conducted. But, the crime is that they subsequently steal $24.99 from your card for which you entrusted them. Effectiviely, they get people to trust them to provide credit card information, then they steal $24.99 from them.
The named billing entity on my card is HOUSE DATA FINDER. My guess is, as the billing entity name is different than reported below is that the prior business name or business names were stripped by its credit card processor due to high volume disputes.
These folks are outright thieves. I plan to contact the state consumer board. It's outrageous they are in business and that google does business with them.
Offered free VIN report, then told me it would be $1. Decided to pay the $1 for a report. They generate a report and before you can see it, you have to give them your email, address, and phone to email you the report. As soon as I did this they charged me $24.95 additional for something? I assume a membership that they say nothing about. Now I have to dispute charges and deal with that headache. Don't deal with them. They should be shut down.
My son is purchasing a used car and this service has been great because we can check the Vin number and it lets us know all of the issues with the car. If there have been any accidents if the maintenance has been maintained. It's truly saved us quite a bit of money.
I was able to receive a quick report, however, the site shows a misleading price since it says that would cost only $1.00 per report and by the of the transaction the charge you a subscription of $29.95 without even telling you. So what a surprise when you go and check your bank!
I am a recent victim of identity theft. I found a car listed under my name that I did not recognized. Your site provided me previous owners and that jogged my memory. My mind is at peace knowing now that the car was legitimate. Thank you so muc!
Try to dispute the charge and called *******073, silent forever, no one answer the call.
Be carful to the service.
And even worst, 2 days later I found another charge from an unknown source. I fully believe either they sent my credit card information to others or they may simply charged my card for anything else.
I was trying to get a copy of a report for 1 Vin for a car we are considering purchasing. It said $1 for this Free report...Nothing was said about $29.95. Company is charging the $1 & another $29.95 to my credit card. Which my card flagged luckily. I call the Cancelation number listed, it's invalid. Cannot be completed as dialed. Call another # listed for Customer service & it's invalid. I should have flagged it myself when PayPal & other forms of payment were unavailable.Beware, this is a scam!
I wish that I knew how these scam sites are able to continue to scam people even with so many complaints. Do not give them or any of your information. It seems all of the VIN sites do the same thing. They charge you and then keep charging, and they make it incredibly difficult to cancel. I got zero information from the vehicle that I was trying to look up and they changed me $29.99 plus $4.95 (for who knows what) an then another $29.99 for a monthly subscription. I had to go to you tube to learn how to cancel it. Within an hour, it was cancelled and they refunded me only $29.99, and so they still managed to keep $35 of my money for absolutely doing nothing. I filed a grievance with the better business bureau and they never responded to them. BBB closed the claim due to the lack of response. Beyond frustrating.
From the article I read which said you offered free vin lookup, I expected just that. After paying a nominal fee, I expected more than I got, which was minimal. I never got all the information I needed.
I payed for the 1 dollar report and got charged the 29.95 for the plan immediately that I did not want. Supposedly getting the 29.95 refunded, we will see. They ran my vin and I had to double check it a couple times due to the fact that the basic info of the truck that I could tell you by just owning it, like the drivetrain and engine, were wrong and I asked how they are going to charge me for info I could tell them by looking at the truck and it was wrong. I was told that's the info in the vehicle registration and I told them they are wrong and asked how do I update they said not there problem. Don't use this place, pay for carfax.
You get to find out the name of the person who owns the car. It doesn't tell you if its stolen, no carfax, doesn't even tell you the size, weight, or the cars color. It was slightly helpful though so thats why it got a second star.
This website is very user-friendly it has all the history on your vehicle up to date information.
Compared to other websites you will not find any other site for the price of vinhistory usa.
Will recommend to anyone thinking about purchasing a vehicle, it's definitely a piece of mind knowing everything checks out on the vehicle you're looking to purchase.
I did receive valuable information that the dealer did not bring to my attention during the sales pitch. The vehicle was involved in an accident! But, what had me going to your site was the promise of a "free" window sticker to show me all the options that my vehicle has which I ended up paying for a vehicle report withOUT the window sticker 😕.
So I paid my dollar only to find out my vin # was I valid. After contacting owner he reported to me the same number. After more searching I find there are no sites for R.zv.'s Kindly post what vin #'s you run...
I was nervous about buying a vehicle from someone I didn't know, but being able to search info about the vehicle and finding out the history of it helped me relax and feel comfortable with purchasing it.
It just was hard to negative your website. This is hard to have things done if your going just keep charging me for one pdf and another file. But that's your website and business. I do ethics for a living and your company needs it more.
