I would recommend not using this service and going to a legit dealer. They valued my item at $2400 I went to a reputable dealer and got valued at $9000. Due diligence

I was not happy with the appraisal very pore description of what it was. Did not give a date when it could have been produced, did not explain the metal piece on the bottom of the item i do not believe that it is a little girls purse. The appraisal also said the items in the picture did not fit inside the purse but they did.

The appareant antik expert was with all certainty not an expert on the objects I had appraised! My two objects where vaguely ascribed to the "first part of a century" (a 50 year time frame, from an expert I expect a time frame of a decade not half a century!) One of the pices was even ascribed the wrong century, 1900th instead of 1800th. Wich greatly deminished the set value; nearly by factor of 7! Renders 2nd evaluation worthless because expert is not am expert. Also put in his personal opinion how objects are "less im style and asked for"... objects of this kind sell well on all kimds of internet auctions! I have contacted vmst and not received an answer yet. I wish for my 2 objects to be accuratly appraised by an expert on the objects and be reimburst for the trouble! Embarissing all in all!

I've had two items appraised. One of them was an autograph book that was appraised at $1k-2k, and the other was a Hummel that used to be valuable but now is $50. I appreciate the honesty about the Hummel.

First, I tried to pay using credit card, but you wouldn't accept my postal zip code; so then i had to use my Paypal account. Not an easy process and I'm hoping that, as a first time customer, I won't be disappointed by your appraisal process; Second, now I did receive the appraisal. The only think I don't understand is about the weight of the gold. I'm pretty sure the value of the watch is based primarily on the weight of the gold. So, it raises the question about how can you appraise fine jewelry like this, when you don't know the weight. True, that's may fault for not giving it to you or knowing that info. But, now I'm wondering if I need to get a second appraisal where the weight and purity of the gold is taken into account.
