I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with both the quality of my Balmain sneakers and the lack of after-sales support from both Milanelo (Cartagena, Colombia) and Balmain. On April 22,2025, I purchased a pair of Balmain "Sneaker Black B Bold Sign LD Sign" at Milanelo, a luxury boutique located at Calle Nuestra Señora Del Carmen #33-41, Cartagena, Colombia. This was a major investment for me, and I was very excited to own what I believed was a high-end product. Despite using the sneakers no more than five times, only for short and careful outings, I noticed that the "Balmain" logo on the side started to peel off after just a few weeks. The shoes otherwise remain in excellent condition, clearly showing little wear and absolutely no misuse. On June 18,2025, I contacted Milanelo to report the issue, only to be told that their warranty was limited to 3 months. Since my purchase was just past that period, they refused to help in any way. For such an expensive product, this policy is unacceptable. On June 19,2025, I emailed Balmain's official customer service, attaching photos that clearly show the defect, the minimal use, and the current state of the sneakers. Balmain merely replied advising me to contact the original store. I replied, explaining that Milanelo refused assistance due to their short warranty, and stressed that the defect appears to be a clear manufacturing fault. I also asked Balmain to clarify their manufacturer warranty and if they had properly evaluated my evidence. Since then, I have received no reply at all. It's incredibly disappointing that a luxury brand like Balmain doesn't stand behind its products and that the store representing them takes no responsibility. This was my first Balmain purchase, and the experience has been entirely negative, both in product quality and in post-sale service. I urge anyone considering buying Balmain products to be aware that you may not receive the quality or the customer care you expect for such a high-priced item. I am simply requesting that either Balmain or Milanelo offer a fair solution—whether it be a repair, exchange, or refund—so that I am not left with a defective and overpriced item.
