Upwork is good for freelancers to find clients from all over the world. There are lots of opportunities for interesting and varied work. You might have to submit quite a lot of proposals to get going but I have not had to buy any 'connects' yet. The increased service fee of 20% feels too high so I can't give 5 stars. The website is easy to use and had many useful features.

Upwork has been a great platform for a working mom like me. Especially when the pandemic started, It took me months to look for a job that will allow me to stay only at home; working safely while taking care of my son. Upwork is great place to work remotely. It gives everything you need to find jobs, communicate with customers, track your progress, make reports and get paid. I've been working through Upwork for 5 years and very happy with the service. Customer support is responsive and willing to help. On the other hand, working remotely is not for everyone and it is not easy. I guess it might be hard to get started, because of the high competition and other top-level freelancer with higher ratings... Well, live is not easy. That's the fact. I used upwork for a big e-commerce project I wanted to kick off. Once the project started and things started going wrong upwork was zero help in trying to resolve the issues with the freelance agency. They made all the right noises in their email but actually didn't do anything apart from play postbox. They sure didn't forget to collect their fees from every payment made but wanted nothing to do with managing the dispute. I have decided to make a claim direct with my credit card provider and intend to inform social media of their complete lack of dispute resolution. I will never use there services again

Upwork is a fantastic platform where dozens of potential clients are coming to you every day looking for the exact service you offer. But that doesn't mean that you'll be getting jobs left and right immediately. I had to submit over 60 proposals before I got my first job. But the good news is once you succeed in one it gets easier and easier. My next job took 13 proposals and I also got invited to a job shortly after that.

It's a great platform but be prepared to submit a lot of proposals before you get your first job.

The only thing that makes Upwork stand out among the other platforms is, they maintain a professional environment. Upwork just doesn't approve people who can write their name and create a profile. They only approve the freelancers who are really skilled. So, this marketplace is cleaner than the others which helps me to provide proper services to my clients.

If you can find your First job on Upwork, then it's over, you can complete more than 6-7 projects and earn 400$-500$ easily. You just need to get started on Upwork. I would strongly recommend Upwork as one of the best websites for freelancing and online business.

I had a profile with 150 projects completed positively and 500 hours during five years of hard work, but hard!
They closed my account because I had a double profile years ago, without personal information, because I forgot my password, without wanting to write the email one morning with my eyes closed, and, in a few hours later the profile closed one by all, without availability to enter the web and register again!

The person who understood me, knew only one thing, you do not have more accounts here, as if I were a delinquent with two balls!

I am on upwork for the last 8+ years as freelancer. Doing a job is good to get regular earnings but could not help you to become rich or get full reward of your hard-work. Upwork is good for skilled and experienced professionals around the world especially from under developed countries to sell their services on good rate remotely and get full reward of their work. If you know what you are doing then you should join upwork and earn some extra money.
