I hesitated to send my camera off through the mail with prepaid repair charges. But, I'm glad that I did. They kept me posted on the repair process throughout, and returned it in awesome shape and it works beautifully. Thank you!

We really regret using this place. We got back a different camera than we sent them. It's in bad condition and complaining went nowhere. As far as their refund guarantee, it's a scam. We're still waiting for Joseph to get his manager to call us. Two months of waiting for that call. United Camera is Horrible!

This United Camera gave me nothing but a massive headache. First of all the camera still doesn't work but now the lens has a scratch too. This place seriously bites! Do not buy into their money back guarantee. It was a complete lie. When will a manager call? That has never ever happened. I sent it back and they fixed it BUT wil not refund the payment despite what their guarantee says on their site. Their answer, duh I dunno. Guess what, the lens problem is back again. UNITED CAMERA SUCKS!

Sent my Nikon lens in for warranty repair, came back with a different problem, Contacted Nikon CS who open another repair ticket. Sent it in and yet came back with the same issue. Just wonder if their tech can tell the differences between normal and abnormal lens operation!

Extremely Satisfied

Sent my Nikon P900 to get checked out since it had been dropped. Wasnt sure if anything was damaged or a little off. I was afraid to ship the camera anywhere but there were no local choices near me. They checked everything on the camera. Tested everything, had several different techs look at it. Fortunately nothing was wrong. So for all that testing etc. they didnt charge me a dime except for the agreed upon shipping. I was totally prepared to spend on a diagnostic charge. Camera was returned promptly and cleaned. Was kept up to date on the whole process. Will use them again if needed. Highly recommend.

I sent in a For SIGMA 70-300MM F/4-5.6 APO MACRO SUPER for repair. They said they would send me an estimate. But they tried to take $100 out of my bank account before they even sent the estimate. Fortunately, I didn't have the 100 in my account. Debit card denied. I asked them why they were trying to take money out of my account before the estimate, their reply was "they always take the initial amount out. If it's less, we refund you that amount."
I called them and they apologized for that, yea right. Then after two weeks, they sent me an email saying that they couldn't fix it and would have to send it to the Sigma manufacture for repair. I said ok, but have not heard anything from them since. I fear that this lens is going to be gone for a long time. My advice, look somewhere else!

I sent United Camera my camera to be fixed. They were pretty nice until my camera was in their shop. Then it was pretty much downhill from there.

I did finally get my camera back but it still did not work. I was rudely told to send it back if I wanted it fixed. They got it back and ignored all of my status requests. I eventually got a camera back but I'm not sure it's my same camera since it has a lot more scratches now. The lens works now with a click that wasn't there previously.

I asked for the repair to be free and they refused to refund me. Why do they advertise it to be fixed right the first time or it's free? This is a rather poor outfit.

Today my grandson tried to use the camera and it won't come on. I am not going through united camera again.

I talked to a guy there named Don and he said a manger would call me. To date no call back has been received. I refuse to seal with united camera again under any circumstances. United Camera repair a poor excuse for a repair company.

United Camera gave us a horrific experience in the repair. They take months on end with no communication on a status. They eventually sent a different camera to us and we never saw our original camera. This camera has a heck of a lot of scratches along with a nick in glass of the lens. This camera already got the same lens error problem like my original camera did. When we called UnitedCamera.com they were of no help, not even a bit. They completely disregarded the money back promise. The woman there is of no help and should learn some manners. Plain and simple, United Camera ripped us off.

The staff offers virtually no customer service once camera is there. Six months to get my camera back on worse condition than I sent to them. It's now the six month anniversary of this ordeal and it just came back broken all over again. I want my money back but they won't return my payment. They are a worthless scam and they do not honor their slogan, "fixed right the first time or it's free". It's three time going in and the lens keeps jamming on my camera. UnitedCamera.com is a rip off. United Camera ruins people's cameras and then won't return the money they got for the repair work. Your managers do not my return calls and the girl there is a know it all. They are a jipp and their warranty and promises mean nothing. They leave the camera is worse shape before with scratches that weren't there.

Do not send your camera to United Camera. They had my camera for so many months without calling me back with the status. Each time I called I got tge runaround and they didn't know when it would've ready. I got back someone else's camera and not mine. They lost my camera and my old battery and charger don't work on the junk they sent me. I had to go to Best Buy and buy a charger and battery. Got home, charged it, and the camera they sent me doesn't even work. I have left messages for a manager and they ignore me. They are a scam.

STAY AWAY!

I sent them a perfectly good camera that had a broken screen. I got it back with the screen fixed and now it has a lens error within weeks. I took a closer look and this is not the same camera I sent them. They refused to refund my money.

United Camera says they will give you back your money if they dint fix it right the first time. They screwed up my camera so bad and won't give me back my money for the repair.

UnitedCamera.com is a ripoff and they don't refund the repair regardless of what their website says.

I will be letting Sony know about this as well since they are repairing Sony products. I'm sure Sony would like to know about them if they don't already. Keep away from UnitedCamera.com for Sony repairs and any other brands of cameras.

United Camera = CRAPPY SERVICE

I gave up trying with them. Staff was polite until they had my camera and payment. They billed me when the camera got there and then didn't fix it right. As far as their guarantee, WHATEVER!

Forget about the free repair thing, my camera was broken from the day I got it back and I couldn't get a refund. They just say to send it back and then it will be free, NOT!

Came back not working again and still no free repair per what they advertise!

Joseph said a manger would call me back, DIDN'T HAPPEN!

Use UnitedCamera.com at your own risk, they are seriously a waste of tine and money.

My SB900 nikon speedlight was slow/misfiring. It turned out the flashtube needed replacing. United turned it around and I had it back in a week from the time I shipped it, 50$ less than Nikon and 3 weeks faster(unless you subscribe to Nikon Professional Services). I was satisfied and pleasantly surprised!

It was a major disaster doing business with United Camera. The camera was with them for many months and in that time they did not communicate. I couldn't get a call back with a status and it didn't matter how hard I tried. Communication was non-existent with them. I got my camera back months later and it didn't even work. I tried to get it fixed again and they said to send it back. I refused because the service was so bad at this place. They refused to give me back my money. The smartallic said that it's working and if I send it back they can make it non working again and then I'll get my money back.

Do not use this place to fix any Sony camera. United Camera had my Sony camera for many months and sent it back more broken than it was. They wouldn't even give me back my money. There are comaints on them all over the place.

I sent my camera in to unitedcamera.com for a lens problem that I was having. When it was returned to me it was still not working. The lens error was fixed but the pictures were now blurry and out of focus.

I complained to United and they said I could send it back and if they verified the problem then the repair would be free. This was not true at all.

I sent it back and they did in fact fix the focus thing although I'm not convinced it's focusing like it did before the initial repair. It is however acceptable.

As for it being free with their promise of being fixed right the first time or it's free, that is false advertising.

They did not give me back the repair cost but they did fix it in the end. My one other complaint is that the casing is no longer sealing properly. I'm certainly not going to send it back to united again.

I asked them firth repair to be free as outlined in their guarantee. The guy asked me how I could expect it to be completely free saying that they installed parts and they have other costs involved. My question to him was, why advertise this guarantee then? He told me the cameras generally don't have to come back for a second repair and when they do, it's up to a manager to decide if the repair will be free. Again I asked, why advertise that guarantee then. He didn't have an answer.

Not very ethical, go elsewhere if you need your camera repaired.

I can see I'm not the only one who had problems with United Camera!

Same crap everyone goes through: arrogant staff, they cracked the top of my camera, they would not honor the warranty of it being free since it wasn't fixed right the first time and they took months. NO COMMUNICATION OR UPDATES ONCE THEY GET THE CAMERA.

Repair work is horrible. It doesn't even look like my original camera I sent them. This camera is cracked on the too. Lens is blocky and noisy which it didn't do before. KEEP AWAY FROM WWW.UNITEDCAMERA.COM

If they advertise a fixed right the first time or it's free, then honor it for heavens sake.

The repair standards are poor. My camera is working terribly since they touched it. NO REFUNDS EVEN THOUGH THEY PROMISE THEIR GUARANTEE.

Go anywhere but united camera. They should be closed down.

THEY REFUSED TO HONOR THE MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.

The excuse was they sent it back working and that is not true.

The works quality sucks at United SCAMera

When I finally convinced them that it was broken they said that wasn't what they fixed. My wife sent them a letter a few weeks back. No reply to it to date.

UNITED CAMERA GIVES A GUARANTEE WHICH THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND LATER.

It's company's like this that give the honest online companies a bad name.

Don't fix your camera with them. They give this warranty I'm sure because they think you won't send it back. Fix your camera anywhere but here. I wish I could give them zero stars.

I called United Camera to get information on the repair. The girl promised the world and 1 day service too so I went with them. They got the camera and then I got a world of excuses why they couldn't get it done in one day anymore. She basically said she can send it back broken but I'd have to pay anyways since they already started it but she couldn't tell me what had been started.

Weeks go by with no status. When I call I get so many stories with no answers to my questions or any proper type of status. I continued to call and the same girl is rude to me.

After four months I get back a different camera and it doesn't work. They fixed what I paid to have fixed and broke my camera even worse and scratched my lens in the process.

I called them and nit even an apology. I'm told to send it back. They got it back and admitted it wasn't working and they said they'd fix it. It's supposed to be fixed right the first time or it's free, that was not the case. They said I should still pay since they're fixing it free the second time, I disagreed. I was told that if I didn't pay the original repair that they would unrepaired it and I would get it back broken. So much for their guarantee. I told them to fix it.

A month later it comes back. The moment I turned it on the lens got stuck with an error message on the screen. I was furious so I called back and heard them laughing each time they covered the phone.

I demanded my money back and they refused. They were terrible and that's putting it lightly. Anyplace is better than this place. AVOID UNITED CAMERA AT ANY COST!
