TutorABC Chinese

I have been searching for a good Chinese Class, most of the one I found required you to attend a class with a group of people and the private lesson just cost too much for my budget. I found TutorMing online and signed up a couple weeks ago. I am very happy with their service, their classes are flexible, you can sign up classes to suit your schedule and the lessons are cater to your ability and learning level. The lessson is private (online) and the teachers are excellent, they make sure you are learning how to speak correctly with different tones which is the issue with most non Chinese speaking students. I highly recommend TutorMing to anyone who is seriously want to learn Chinese. Bravo TutorMing, Keep up the good work!

The teachers at TutorMing are very professional, hard-working and enthusiastic. The teachers always offer a stimulating and comfortable classroom environment and even if you are not able to speak any Mandarin they are happy to assist you in the task of getting started speaking. If you are serious about learning Mandarin and you are overwhelmed by the task, you should study with TutorMing. They make the task of learning Mandarin manageable and enjoyable and I am very pleased with the experience.

I signed up and took forty lessons. My experience was very positive and most of the tutors provided were good in tutoring. The format of learning was flexible and suited my lifestyle. I was able to cancel when my scheduled lesson conflicted with something more urgent. The only downside was that I did not have much continuty from teacher to teacher. I did have one tutor for a big stretch of time and I felt that my learning was much better.

... has been a very good experience to help me learn Chinese thus far! I am on my 9th class and have been impressed with the educators thus far. Each one takes the time to make sure you understand the material before moving forward. The problem I have had is not having enough time to finish the material each time. TutorMing has been cooperative in helping with this. I have done 3 Webinars and they are challenging for a learner but think it is still worth the time and will continue to attend when time allows.

They promise X number of classes and strongly imply that you are getting 1 on 1 classes. When you sign up you find out that you payed for X number of group classes or 1/3 as many 1 on 1 classes as you expected.

Tutorming has been a revelation! It is everything you could possibly want from a language learning platform. The lessons are all topic based, and are structured to enhance your learning. Each lesson is by video, and the teachers are both friendly and engaging. You can review each video lesson whenever you want, and you can go over the material of each lesson if you don't have the time to rewatch the whole video. I have found that within a few weeks, my Chinese has progressed more than the previous 11 months of learning Chinese. The words that come to my mind when I think on "TutorMing" are: warm, friendly and professional teachers, I thought learning Chinese was going to be a difficult experience but, on the contrary it was a nice surprise to find myself enjoying at the fullest each class, plus, with the motivation I kept I had immediate results. After studying Chinese for many years using different formats, I joined TutorMing two months ago. I am impressed by the noticeable improvement in my Chinese fluency. The TutorMing format for language teaching is clearly working and very effective.

All the tutors are excellent. They are enthusiastic, standardized to a high degree, and are very much engaged in my progress, often providing extensive feedback with additional suggestions.

The level of customization is very high and as a student you can make any request. In my case, I wanted to continue studying traditional characters, not simplified characters. I also had a request regarding accent and wanted to emphasize conversational fluency rather than reading and writing. TutorMing was able to meet all these requests and I now enjoy highly individualized lessons. Students can even indicate areas of interest so that the lesson content is suitable and interesting.

Customer service is great. I did have some difficulties getting started as software compatibility and headset issues needed to be sorted out. Support staff was very helpful and with a little patience I was on my way. Everything has been running smoothly since.

Customer service staff responds quickly, usually within a few hours by either email or phone. When an irregularity occurs they are quick to apologize and to refund the session. So far this has only happened once.

All in all, an excellent company!

This is by far the best website I have come across for learning Chinese. I started learning Chinese 3 years ago after traveling to Taiwan, and have tried many websites and programs, but they either had technical problems or the service wasn't so good after the demo lesson.

TutorMing is much different. The quality of their teaching and service is amazing. You will meet many different teachers with many different stories. The dialects may not always be the same, but once you get a good grasp of the language, the slight variations in pronunciations wont matter. In fact, this learning model is probably the most helpful I've seen yet in terms of preparing you for real life Chinese conversations.

You can schedule and take classes 24/7 and access the learning material to prepare yourself before the class begins. After the class, you'll have the option of reviewing the teacher and doing a short 10 question multiple choice quiz on what you learned. After that, you can review what you've learned anytime you like.

Also, if you do have any issues with the IT side of things or a teacher isn't a good fit, customer service is very responsive and will help you a lot.
