Trusted Housesitters is a godsend for pet and home owners. It allows us to travel without worry, knowing that our pets and home will be well cared for in our absence. The web site is easy to navigate and we have always been delighted with the house sitters we have found there. We also enjoy doing housesits found at the site. Support for members is top notch. I can't recommend Trusted Housesitters highly enough! They are great!
I just completed my first pet sit and it was a wonderful experience. My pet parents were more than considerate and the stay was comfortable. During my 3 day stay I was able to to explore the city and meet the friendly neighbours. Looking forward to a longer pet sit next week.
Joining Trustedhousitters has been a life-saver for us! We are at a stage in our lives in which we travel a lot. We have pets and a large home, which requires us to have someone here while we're away. Hiring good house/pet sitters was getting quite expensive! Joining Trustedhousitters has saved us A LOT of money! For a nominal annual fee with Trustedhousitters, we have had several extremely positive experiences with house/pet sitters who have capably, kindly cared for our pets and home while we've been away. We've met wonderful people who love pets and who want to see the world. Being able to read the sitters' reviews before confirming a sit is a great way to learn about the sitter/s and to help guide in choosing who would be best for your needs. We have had only positive experiences. We highly recommend Trustedhousesitters!
I wish I had known about this sooner. I pay a lot of money to board my sweet pets and they are always so miserable. I had a great time pet sitting and have 2 more lined up. I cannot wait to upgrade my life using this app for travel and making friends. I see all the complainers on here and it sounds like this website is another disruptor. I have been doing home exchanges since before the invention of the internet, air mailing photos of my apt. Plus a postcard and trading with people all over the world. People are waking up, and realizing we can connect with each other online and have a wonderful experience. I see this as just the beginning. First Airbnb, homexchange.com, and now this. I am so happy to have found this.
Any time I tell someone about TrustedHouseSitters, they are eager to learn more. I always brag about the ease of completing an application and the expanse of the housesits that are offered. Assistance with customer service is done in a timely manner and the website is well organized.
We'e found the TH site to be very easy to use. It's the best designed Housesitting site out there and I feel very comfortable with the security checks they do on potential sitters. We've had some great experiences and met some wonderful people (and pets) through TH. It's well worth the annual fee.
When the housesitters I spent hours with and showed my home before giving them keys changed their minds after I left on my trip, not only did I have to find someone I could trust to get the keys from them and watch the house, but Trusted Housesitters staff approached it as though the house sit never happened, was "amicably" resolved and I was not given the option to review the housesitters and respond to their reneging on their agreement. Nor did my email to staff asking for the refund of my membership fees based on the house sit that they said did not occur meet with any response. Their promise was as meaningless as the housesitters who accepted the job and then changed their mind saying that my home was not "comfortable." I won't trust the service again.
We have used TrustedHouseSitters several times and have always been able to find great sitters. It is so nice to be able to travel knowing that we are trusting our cat and home to sitters that care for our home as they would their own.
You have my business. I highly recommend these folks. Very helpful and professional. From finding a sitter to tech support, these folks are on it. I am self employed and enjoy meeting other professionals that do a great job at what they do. Trusted Housesitters is what they say they are. And more.
We joined Trusted Housesitter a year ago and have nothing but praise for this service. We have invited housesitters into our home three time to look after our home and our cat while we were traveling. All of them are such lovely people and we felt that we had old friends looking after things for us during our absence. We felt the same about the two times that we were the house and pet sitters.
The system is quite easy to use. We have recommended it to our friends and have renewed our membership for a second year. We are looking forwards to traveling in the future knowing that we will be able to find trusted housesitters to look after home and cat.
I strongly warn anyone who would consider joining. It is like a pyramid/plane concept. There is bunch of people who do sit for a long time and get good reviews and for them this works. Most of the new people then pay for nothing. It is almost impossible to get a chance to sit if you have no reviews and you can't get reviews without getting the sit. CATCH-22. Last year we had a big luck and got a place to sit. The person was happy and so were we, but she left the server without leaving the review. This year I contacted about 30 different homeowners and in most cases they did not even responed, just declined the application. About a month ago they change their webpage so now it hardly works. I've spend weeks discussing the problem with them. They only say they are working on it. Finally I asked for my money back and they refused. I believe it is a scam.
My sitter just backed out two days before a National Holiday and I can't reach any of the company representatives for any recourse or suggestions -- phone goes to a voicemail directing me to the website and the call disconnects. Chat is not functioning. I've lost all hope of salvaging my holiday and now they would deny me justice?! The insult on top of the injury. Thanks for nothing, Trusted Housesitters.

I have done numerous housesits since joining three years ago and have been very satisfied with the sitters I have had also.
It's a great way to have a short break or long holiday and the yearly subscription pays for itself after the first sit.
This is the first time we have used Trusted Housesitters and we found the site easy to use and the rapid communication was great. I would recommend Trusted Housesitters to any prospective sitters or home owners looking for good reliable mutual relationships.
I had a good experience and this was the first time I tried this website to get a house sitter to look after my cat. She was very friendly and a very good person.
However, I received only two applications inspite of putting up a requirement for 15 days. I was lucky to find a sitter but I can't help but wonder that this would have been a bad investment if she wasn't available at the time.
Also, there seems to be no ID proof requirement by the website for both House owners and sitters. This is something that should be worked upon for safety reasons

My experience of using Trusted Home Sitters to find house sitting assignments has only been positive. I have had 5 successful house sits. I would recommend them to anyone looking for house sitting assignments or house sitters for their pets.
House sitting for Debra was such a delight. Her home was immaculate and extremely comfortable and her chickens were so personable. Honestly, I have never before encountered such lovely chickens, and it was such a joy to look after them!
We just became members of THS two months ago, and already used a fabulous sitter to care for our home and spoiled-rotten cat. We had no problems with joining THS. I will say the website is not super intuitive and took me awhile to figure out how to maneuver through it to build our profile and Welcome Guide. Other than that, I am happy that this service is available, and pleased with our usage so far.
Trusted Housesitters responded to my first review writing that they want to work with customers and be flexible, but they can't make exceptions to policy. This is double talk.
They requested that i write to them. I did. They stated that they would respond within 48 hours. They haven't. Once they get your money they are gone.

I understand that you are feeling frustrated if you do not feel that you are getting a response, however, I can see that you chatted on live chat with my colleague on Monday the 2nd April and received a follow-up email as promised on Wednesday 4th April 2018.
I am sure that you can appreciate as with any company we have to have policies in place to make it fair on all of our members and unfortunately once a membership has been used as per the Terms and Conditions a refund is not available. However, this does not mean that we are not extremely keen to assist you with the continued use of your membership. I can see that you have had several sitters apply for your sit and can personally talk you through the next steps.

Had signed up then didn't need service - personal reasons. Was a member only two weeks and had not used the site or contacted a sitter. Customer service was inflexible and showed no understanding. Kept citing "policy" and would not discuss even a pro rated refund. Very poor.

I'm very sorry that you haven't found the level of success that you had hoped for. We have thousands of fantastic sitting opportunities on our platform at any one time and although it may sometimes take a little perseverance, we do see great levels of success. Obviously our homeowner members are responsible for selecting their sitter from the applications that they receive and we do not influence their decisions.
For clarity, we are not a scam or a pyramid scheme. Our platform connects homeowners who wish to travel knowing their pets are safe at home and sitters who wish to experience new places and care for lovely animals. We facilitate life changing experiences every day and we are very proud of this.
