We have turned to TrustedHousesitter twice this year, fairly new members, and both sitters have been fantastic! Our trips have been for several days and both of them were stress free. Once the sitter accepted the job communication between us was easy. While we were gone the sitters sent pictures via text and were available to talk if we had any concerns. Upon returning our house was spotless and our pets were happy!
I think this a terrible service. Terrible experience both the sitters and customer support with TrustedHousesitter. Sitters were allowed to make LIES about my home and how I take care of my animals. It's not only untrue but extremely hurtful. Who is allowed to make lies up about animal abuse and get away with it. Customer service is poor and people are allowed to post whatever they want so long as it's not racist, sexist, etc.
Trusted Housesitters is an absolute winner. We have used it many times for over 2 years and have found really wonderful cat-sitters who have taken great care of our precious pets and of our home. I would be lost without it!
Our experience after ten months as pet sitters has been great and I've introduced friends and people I meet to the site too and I wouldn't do that if I wasn't happy with it. We've had five short breaks and one week away so far and loved every one of them. As with all things, you have to be careful in your dealings with people, but the vast majority on this site are honest, caring humans and absolutely delightful animals. The website team have been supportive, friendly and helpful in the few dealings I've had with them. We will be signing up again next year.
We joined Trusted Housesitter a year ago. We've enjoyed three pet sits this year. That number would have been higher had it not been for the Pandemic. I am about to renew our membership to both petsit for others and have others pet sit for us. The price ($100 to $150 last year, depending on what you need) is made up quickly in ssaved hotel bills and petsitting payments. I highly recommend TH.
My husband and I have professional experience in property management and pet care. We were comfortable with this concept of International House Sit Exchange and so we joined Trusted HouseSItters. It has exceeded our high expectations. The model is excellent and the high quality of communication and opportunities is invaluable. We very much ENJOY the process of watching for housesits, applying, and going through the steps. Trusted HouseSitters makes it very very user friendly. Whether you get the particular house sit or not, you learn each time about countries, areas, people, places, and things. We focused specifically on Portugal and have only wonderful results. We have only great things to say about these experiences: the people, the places, the pets. We even met another house sitter in Porto, Portugal and we had so much good information to share. When beginning our "houssitting" career six years ago, we were members of several housesitting sites, after a short while we found that all our "jobs were coming from this one super trusted houssitting company. I have had two housesits through the TrustedHousesitters site and my experience with both sits was superb. The fact that this website lists housesitting opportunities throughout the world means I will be able to travel much more easily than before (financially speaking). I have been using housesitting a lot this year in Europe (after having working visa issues), to be near my teenage son who is at a ballet school in England and to look after him for his breaks. I have found the site very user friendly, any admin issues sorted quickly. We have met astounding owners and animals and are enjoying the opportunity immensely. Thanks to Trusted Housesitters for connecting up homeowners and sitters in an easy to access way.
I started using trusted housesitters in Nov 2018. I then backpacked through central America for 10 months and now onto South africa, and did a few house and pet sits. It gives me such freedom. There are loads of places needing house sits... where do you want to explore? Then see if there is a need and bam! Bon voyage.
We are new to THS but so far have found the site thorough and user friendly. There seems to be plenty of sitting opportunities and we appreciate the regular updates. Our first sit was a great success and both the owner and pet were a perfect match. It was great to provide peace of mind for the owner whilst enjoying a welcome break in a new location with the added bonus of caring for a loving pet! We hope this is the first of many opportunities. Love the app which makes on the go searches so easy.
I housesit full time and love every minute of it. I live in one of the most expensive cities in the world (Vancouver) and trusted housesitters has allowed me to travel within and outside my hometown and live for free. As a bonus, I get to care for a meet all the lovely pets that make great company. It's perfect if you work remotely and love the company of animals. I recommend it to everyone I speak to!
We have used Trusted House Sitters 3 times. Each time has been a good experience. We feel very comfortable leaving our pets and house to the sitters. They have treated our animals very well. They have always been calm when we have returned home. We are not stressed about leaving our pets in the hands of the house sitters. It is perfect for us and our animals get to stay home!
I was a bit wary at first as I was used to paying to board my dogs or have someone come in and sit. I have encountered several very nice, responsible, trustworthy people who have come into my home and taken wonderful care of my dogs. I think the site attracts good people.
TH has changed our travel life! In the past year and a half we have utilized TH 5 times and have found wonderful people to care for our house, cat and 2 corgis.

We've used Trusted Housesitters three times now with 3 different sitters and couldn't be more happy with the outcome. It was rather scary to try at first but each time we had sitters who came early and got to know us and our dog and each did a wonderful job. Highly recommend them.
We were planning a long trip and were dreading having to board our dogs for such a long period of time. Even at the best of kennels, the dogs come home worn out, or stressed out. The expense of having a housesitter come here was equal to our budget for our whole trip, so that was also pretty prohibitive. I did a little Google search, found TrustedHousesitters and liked what I read about it enough to join! Wow, am I glad we did! What an amazing premise the company is founded on. Within hours of posting our request for a housesit, we had plenty of great applicants. I was able to choose the best fit for us. Our housesitter turned out to be amazing and everything she and her references stated was absolutely true. We will use TrustedHousesitters from now on!
