Trustedhousesitters is an excellent concept (idea). We would do it more early, but it wa a bit difficult to combine with our job. Now that Lut & I are both retired we have had a good Housesit in England, friendly home-owners where we stay, for us a win-win situation, thank you from Luc &Lut
I just finished my first House Sit. The whole joining process, verifications, finding a suitable pet sit and communication with the family was straightforward and simple. Help is there on line or phone if you have any queries or problems. Very happy to be part of Trusted Housesitters
Scottish people are rather friendly, they help foreigners as much as possible. If the weather was a bit warmer I will come regularly to Schotland. Nature is very attractive, when I'm more experienced with my smartphone I send some nice photos, greeting from Luc&lut.
We have just completed our first petsit and everything worked fine with communication etc through the website. There is a good choice of 'sits' available on the webpage therefore looking forward to the next one now!
We have had some wonderful experiences over the last 3 years housesitting both in UK and NZ. Have also selected a sitter for our own home which was straightforward and worked brillantly. Would not hesitate to recommend.
I've called, emailed, and 'chatted' with the company and have not gotten a response in 6 days. I've tried calling EVERYDAY since they charged us and have yet to talk to a real person.
When my boyfriend and I went to sign up for an account it would not accept either of our cards- so we signed up with their competitor, Nomador, instead. When I checked my account several days later however I found that "Trusted"housesitters took the money out two days after our cards were both denied. We are requesting a full refund and have abided by the terms of the contact but after reading these other reviews I don't think we will ever get one.
Nomador is a superior website and has excellent customer service, as well as hundreds more listings and opportunities.
Unbelievably disappointed with our experience.
We have stayed in lovely homes with loving pets. Trusted Housesitters helps us to travel at much reduced expense and to become part of a neighborhood. Instead of sterile hotel rooms, we have spacious and private living accomodations. We love dogs and cats but lost our dog last year so we appreciate having pets even though it is just temporary.
We do wish that more owners would offer their car since care rental can be a major expense.
I had my doubts after reading some comments online about no responses and my experience started out that way, but quickly changed. My first sit was first rate and I have more lined upnfor the Summer. When I had questions, they called and emailed both. Theu had suggestions. New opportunities come up constantly in fabulous places. The people are friendly, enthusiastic and very clear with instructions for their pers and houses. TH follows up. It has been a great experience for me and fun to care for cute furry friends so their parents can get away. This is a great service!
We have been using Trusted for more than two years now both sitting for others and having sitters for our two dogs. Every experience so far has been fantastic and we have saved a fortune on accommodation for our holidays and our dogs have been well looked after, as far as we know, for free in their own home. Personally I cannot recommend the service enough!
As a single person travelling to new countries I have found that any questions by your help team are immediatly and professionaly answered. I also like to tell anyone I meet on my travels about this site.

This site allows us to take care of someone's fur baby (which we love) and visit another city or town to explore. It's a great concept and we are also able to easily work online while we do this. Love this site and would highly recommend it!
I was in. A panic trying to find someone to take care of our 2 cats and 1 dog for a month. We travel so much and I had always had a family member available to help out, but one daughter moved away, and one lived too far away. Then my husband said "Check this out!" Lo and Behold, I discovered Trusted Housesitters. I had over 50 applications within a week, the hard part was deciding which one. I have now used Housesitters twice, with a third already set for a sit of two months! You should feel very confidant using this option for pet care and of course, housesittiing!
I have used this website service many times, it is fantastic. My Dog and my house have been very well looked after by all the people we have had sit for us, we have first timers to well experienced sitters. We have made good friends with several of the sitters. I have recommended this website to many people, some have actually used it, and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
My husband and I have had the honour of sitting several times now and bar none this is the way to go. The pets are always loving and so much fun to get to know. But the best part of it all is the people we've gotten to know. All of them have been 5 star. It has been an adventure from the start. Highly recommend this site.
I joined Trusted HouseSitters to give me a view of the world outside my relatively narrow confines which I had created while I was caring for my husband who had Dementia. He passed in 2017 and I was stuck in a rut.
Visiting the sits, meeting people and looking after my feline charges have given me a lift in spirit.

We have been on 2 house sits so far and the system workings wonderfully. So easy to use and keep in touch with people. Contacted Trusted Housesitters help line the other day because I hadn't received advice of new house-sits for a few days (which I love to scroll though with a cup of tea in the mornings) and found that my provider had blocked the site but everything remedied within 5 minutes. Great service, great staff, great site. Keep it going.
I went on line on the 21st of December and chatted with Matt and set up a account after my wife got home she went on line and read reviews and seen there were a lot of very unhappy customers. Even sitters that had no criminal record checks done. I tried calling them the morning of the 22nd and still have not got a call back and so I try several chats and am told Im not elgiable for a refund even tho I never used there service. I Highly recommend people stay away from this company. They take your money and do nothing to resolve issues you may have. Id pay $50.00 per night per pet and we have 2 dogs to put my pets into a boarding kennel before Id ever consider using this company

I have had nothing but good experiences with Trusted Housesitters. The people and dogs I have met through this site have been wonderful. I called the vet once because there was an issue with a dog's paw while I was taking care of her, and they gave me clear, concise information on what I should do for her. Her paw healed nicely and all was well. I highly recommend this site, especially as a sitter.
I am dealing with the same issue right now. I signed up 2 days ago only because it shows many available sitters for the dates I searched for. I have contacted almost all of them and they are booked! This site is misleading and I would not have signed up if no one was available. They are not honoring the $130 refund either. Bait and switch, fraud.

I am sorry to hear that you have not yet found a sitter on the platform. During the Christmas period, sitters can get confirmed on sits quite quickly. Meaning that their availability calendars can also change quickly. That said we never want to hear that any member is unhappy with the platform and I would be more than happy to discuss this further with you.

I would be very keen to look into this in more detail for you, as I can categorically assure you, if your card was declining on our site, that is the card holders bank denying the payment at that time, and we certainly do not have a way to try to debit the funds at a later time, and this is not something we would ever do, even if there was a way, so this does concern me, and I would ask that you send the details to me directly on support@trustedhousesitters.com for further investigation.
