I have used TrustedHouseSitters 8 times now, and I have met some incredible and extraordinary people who are absolutely delightful. All of the sitters have been very respectful, reliable and have done exceptional jobs looking after my two fur babies. Most have left the house in a condition as if they have never been, and all have been very clean and tidy. I am so impressed with this service and I will continue to use. It's a win-win for both, and I have made new friends through this service, and friends that want to come back!

If you haven't signed up you are crazy! TH has saved me so many times. What a delightful way to meet extraordinary people. The sitters have all been truly amazing and I have complete faith in the process. I am even contemplating becoming a sitter in retirement. Why not?! We have a dog and have used Trusted House Sitters 3 times when we've gone away from home for 4 or 5 days. All of our sitters have had an excellent rapport with our dog. They've texted updates, including, sometimes, photos, while we were away to keep us informed about what was going on at home. At the end of their stay, they've left the house clean and well cared for. We couldn't ask for more. At times I've found the website a little difficult to navigate but otherwise I have no complaints! We will continue to used Trusted House Sitters and recommend it to friends and family.
We're into our 3rd year with Trusted Housesitters. It's been amazing. Sitters have come to stay for periods of 1 week to 1 month, totalling close to 4 months. The commitment of the sitters to getting themselves here, caring for our cat, and treating the house with great respect has been way beyond our expectations. It must be the win-win nature of the relationship that inspires both parties to make it work so well. It's given us the ambition to be housesitters, too. Once I needed some kind of support from Trusted Housesitters; the representatives gave stellar service with super communication and friendliness.
Prior to using TH we had engaged a variety of housesitters at the then local going rate of $30/day, with much less satisfactory results at greater cost. TH had saved us a LOT of money plus given us peace of mind when we travel, and the icing on the cake - a couple of lasting friendships with some really wonderful people who came to sit.

Pet owners are confident that sitters are trustworthy from their profiles that include good references and background checks and pet lovers have opportunities to go all over the world doing what they love. I have been raving about to all my friends. Making friends with pets and their owners is also a huge benefit :)
The initial set up is a bit sticky and one must take a leap of faith to trust a stranger with your house and pets but I hope you have an experience as perfect as we did. Our sitter was clean, thoughtful and a true animal lover. Give it a try.

Fabulous house sit. Judy and Owen were fun and informative. House was extremely nice and location was great.The dogs, Bobbie and Kusi were easy and very affectionate. Fun to watch Kusi "hunt" in the back yard.
