“As the resident car guy among my friends and family,...”

As the resident car guy among my friends and family, I've used this site quite a bit to research car prices. I love the zip-code specific info they give, and they even have listings of dealers nearby that have cars listed for fair prices. While I haven't had the chance to personally test out the Price Guarantee feature at a "TrueCar-Certified Dealer" (whatever that means), I have successfully used the pricing information on the site to save several thousands off sticker price on my mom's most recent car purchase with much less drama. Car dealers seem to know and trust the info on TrueCar, so bringing a printout of the average transaction prices for your area can quickly get the salesman to bring his starting offer down. What a great resource!

Hello, I would like to say that TrueCars is the worse place to buy a car. Beware the Vin #'s are wrong the car broke down as soon as I left the place. They will only give you 20 mins.to test drive the car so you can't tell what's wrong with it they hook up the battery@ the last minute. They are lying putting them on BBB. I was being nice to give 1 star. Do Not Buy The Car

The U.S. News Best Price Program Powered By TrueCar gave me a VIN number and Stock number for a car along with the quoted price. The quoted price was $755 lower than the listed sales price on the dealer's web site. When I went to the dealer, they said the car was not available because it had benn assigned as a loaner car, and the quoted price was not honored by the dealership on an identical car with the same sticker features and MSRP. The dealership did not seem to recogize the TrueCar service as a valid representation of their sales price.

They advertise cars they don't even have. A total Scam
I tried to buy this "great deal", well after the run around for days, then weeks, true car said it was sold. The dealership actually told me they didnt even have that car as it was sold 3 months earlier...

Tip for consumers:
DONT BELIEVE WHAT TRUE CAR TELLS YOU

Wanted to give them a chance even though my research did not reveal great comments/ ratings (Looked at getting a Certified, 2022, Acura MDX, Advance Trim)

The Pros:
- Good salesperson (Jeovany)
- Good follow up by Julissa Varela, customer relations, also quite courteous (but unhelpful, as their job is to politely say sorry, and bring you back to the dealership, it was obvious they are powerless and cannot effect change in the dealership)

Cons:
- Poor dealership internal communication (made appointment on Monday for Wednesday evening. Follow up emails from dealership condirmed appointment and stated vehicle would be ready and waiting to be viewed - did not happen)
- I was not expected, salesperson did not know who the POC was (Jessica Stone) and stated they are not at the dealership
- Salesperson had to find the car and bring it in to viewing area.
- Could not really view the car as it was caked with snow and frozen ice, dirty, with dried mud marks on all 4 tires
- Supposed to be a CPO vehicle with Acura certification … backed by factory certified technicians and thorough inspection… opened the door to find a missing vent, there was a complete gap there and blatantly visible, how the heck did they miss that IF they did an inspection before putting it for sale
- Tires had very little tread left and would need replacing… salesperson those were the tires the vehicle is being sold with and "maybe" could talk to his manager (Again, this is advertised as a CPO vehicle)
- May seem small, but someone thought it would be ok to play loud heavy metal music in a place of business where serious transaction happens. Definitely a great distractor and hard to speak at a normal tone

Bottomline, the three people I dealt with were prompt and good, but they are quite low on the payscale and are unable to render any change. To me, this dealership is a sign of POOR MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP and selling qualty vehicles (unless new) and maintaining good business practice is not a priority. I CANNOT RECOMMEND this dealer, and made a big mistake not going with my gut instinct to avoid this dealer, based in previous reviews.

Like bringing a toddler to speed dating -- as your interpreter, across a double-blind. My excellent credit union offers "streamlined" financing of TrueCar "purchases" -- which is a fail. TrueCar offers non-realtime ads from actual sellers, as well as what is apparently a one-way inquiry forwarding service to those sellers. I wasted a full business day searching for and finding a specific, hard-to-find car in a hot market, initiated a purchase, and found the seller (Carvanna, whose shortcomings I'll leave for elsewhere) was already processing the sale of this car for another buyer. In short, there's no way to tell you're actually purchasing a car (that's there at the other end) or communicating with a seller. (Less significant: loss of information fidelity. The car was listed in TrueCar as in my city, but on Carvanna's site is in fact half the continent away.) As useless as a football bat, or a bag of horse phalluses with no handles.
