I used the travel channel quite often, but now everything is paranormal all the time. Paranormal shows are ok during Halloween or maybe even once a day... but this channel broadcasts paranormal programs all day long. There's nothing that relates paranormal to traveling... except maybe haunted houses or buildings in a particular state. They may as well rename it to the paranormal network... I no longer watch it!
Travel Channel has descended to a stupid, inane channel nothing to do with Travel at all. It's a forum to watch idiotic topics concerning what they consider supernatural subjects and content. It should no longer be titled Travel Channel since the content has nothing to do with channel. Whoever took it over is basically stupid. I'm sure it's trying to attract a certain audience but I bet if they had the guts to show ratings it would probably be less than half what it once was before going this route.
I at one point kept cable to watch the travel channel... which was about traveling! No more! All about ghosts and idiot people following! I am done even looking what's on the channel! Stupid! Used to love it.
I really enjoy watching the ghost stories on your show. But what I don't understand is why are most of the actors former fbi agents and wanna be investigators. They have no place in this business. They didn't attend film courses and their just in it to make money and their phoney and fake about them selves. Seems like everybody wants to be a paranormal investigator with no experience. Bring back NICK GROFF what's the problem with you guys
I was watching Bizarre Foods today and one of the hosts was a woman names Nicole Froelich. While talking about a butcher shop run by the Trump family, she makes it well known that she doesn't like our President of the United States. She went so far as to say he doesn't do a good job and I don't want to watch a channel that hates our president. Trump has and is doing a great job and if you can't see that then you are ignorant. I'm sick of hearing so much negativity. He may not be a people person, but at least he's not fake. Season 19 E 3
Would that really be a new season or old reruns full of tweets and non interesting commentary for morons called "pulses". I feel bad for people missing the travel in travel channel... buy i love the paranormal... so... lets continue traveling there.
Less is better. You have ruined the paranormal shows with integrity by adding idiot shows. Such as... Ghost Adventures, Ghost Brothers and the absolute worst is Mountain Monsters.
Please ask your programming people to get their head out of their rear and put on shows with a little integrity. You have done it in the past and we are certain you can accomplish it again.
The Travel Channel used to be entertaining. Not anymore. Unrealistic ghost stories, men running around screaming like little school girls when they hear something, and fake reality shows aren't entertaining. How about some creativity. To bad it's all about the money.
Watching this channel always makes me happy as I like to fantasize about all of these wonderful vacation destinations I will never get to visit. If you are going to plan a trip it is great to get a preview too!
I am now getting sick of using sites like expedia and travelocity for reviews as I think they are all useless. Instead I use travelchannel.com to get the real deal on whether or not to check out a new city as I can really see for myself with their videos whether or not I will like the location.
I stopped watching this channel, not interested anymore! There are no shows about travel what I love the most! Only Ghosts and Paranormal things. It is ridiculous! There were great shows about food and different places all over the world, which I found really fun, where did all this go?
As a grandparent, I would like to watch the Travel Channel with my grandchildren so they can learn about the countries of the world, their culture, people and beautiful nature.
It does not seem that anyone reads these reviews that indicate the dismal quality of your programming and tries to answer to them. What a pity. Who is responsible for content that gets dumb and dumber all the time? They should be replaced with creative people that care about the education of our young ones.
No ghost is left unhaunted on the glut of paranormal shows currently clogging The Travel Channel's prime-time schedule. Who'd have thought that ghosts=travel? Certainly the first thing that crosses my mind on vacation! Seriously, I enjoy the food programming--even the wacky ones--but endless marathons of ghosts and aliens? Not so much.
Here we live in a wonderfully diverse world with hundreds of countries and cultures each with unique customs and traditions, thousands of wonders both natural and man-made, and an impossible myriad of 7.5 billion individual perspectives and counting... and the best the "Travel" Channel can offer us is a bunch of pseudoscientific nonsense about ghosts and monsters. What an amazing opportunity for diverse, eye-opening programming sure to inspire and connect us all... and they throw it away. This channel is pathetic, shameful, and unbelievably stupid.
All this ghost and haunted crap is ridiculous. I thought it was a halloween thing, but we are now in December and it is all that is on. As pathetic as the history channel with its tin foil programs. Garbage.
While I understand how others dislike the current ghost platform on the network... even that does ebb and flow over time... But I find it hard to give ratings to any channel that promotes Fox "news"... seriously... you shouldn't take it there
My wife and I both love topics of the shows, however; the back-ground music is so loud we can hardly hear what is being said. The loud music has become so irritating we look for other channels & programs to watch.
What are they trying to accomplish with such loud music that nearly overrides the narration? Very irritating
Andrew Zimmern only is one of the most warm and wonderful hearted people. He treats everyone with respect all over the world. One truthful comment and he is pulled off the air? He is the best thing your channel has to offer and I always looked forward to every new episode. Sometimes the truth hurts but people need to grow up and accept that not everyone has the "best" food. It's better to be truthful and not always sugar coat it like so many others. BRING him back!
What happened to shows that actually give you travel tips? Ie: Great hotels, Top 10 beaches, etc. All that is ever played anymore are shows about Ghosts or Food. Travel Channel used to be my go to channel but sadly not anymore.
This channel is beyond stupid all that pseudo paranormal stuff and nonsense. I deeply mourn the old Travel Channel and its educational interesting enlightening and intelligent content. Whoever took over the Travel Channel should change the name because the name itself is "fake advertising" a non existent content. Something like "Silly Morbid Channel" or "Just a Fright Channel" would be far more appropriate.
