We stopped in at Toys R Us on Broadway in Vancouver today for our first baby purchases. One of the ladies there was very helpful giving us a complete run down on strollers and car seat combos. Surinder also gave us a list of baby items we will need and lots of good info. Overall a great experience
Ordered a birthday present at 10:32am. Paid for next day delivery as ordered before 6pm which is their cut off for next day delivery. Paid by PayPal and it went through fine, but Toys R Us didn't collect from PayPal until 19.35hrs that evening. Result? Present due to arrive too late for the party. Shop elsewhere, this is simply disgraceful.
I was on eBay and ordered a toy for my grandson. When I hit order, I noticed the address was wrong so right away I sent them a message to cancel the order so I could buy it again with the right shipping address. They said they can't cancel the order. I next sent a message to them to please change the shipping address (this was -5minutes after I placed the order) they said they can not change the shipping address. WTH!
I do a lot of reviews and I am honest to a fault. Anyone who is a savvy shopper who does their research knows full well that you can get a lot of items this store sells just by doing some serious price-matching. For instance, an x-box game I was interested in was 8.00 cheaper at a local game store. That's quite a difference, don't you think? I don't shop here anymore, now that I have wised up.
Pre-ordered MLB The Show 17 for my son and didn't get any of the preorder bonuses. Recommend Ordering it somewhere else like GameStop or other video game stores.
Way too expensive for nothing more than a large selection of toys. Can find cheaper elsewhere but get ideas from here.
It used to be fun and magical and now it's tired and dated selling more baby items and clothing than TOYS! Underpaid poorly staffed grouchy way to spend too much for plastic.
The store is an amazing place to shop but sadly all the location around me have went out of bussiness. They have grrat prices on all of their products and they are my go to store for birthday and Christmas shopping.
This place has gotten increasingly bad to shop in over the past 10 years. I have quite a few nephews that I pick up toys from. It isn't fun to come here for anymore.
I ordered a gift card and it was never received. Maybe lost in the mail, I don't know. It was a nightmare trying to get a replacement or refund. They could not simply cancel the gift card and resend a new one. They promised me a refund but never sent it. I called 4 times and waited a month, finally I just did a chargeback because they simply would not refund me. Lady on the phone said her system did not work with the gift card system, so I would need to be transferred, blah blah, that circus show went on for a month and many calls. I never shopped at Toysrus since then.
I ordered from them and a week later they tell me it will be on delay. Ha! After I already paid them. Nope. Got my money back and went elsewhere
Im speaking from experience in the Leominster, MA location. They are always out of stock on the most wanted toys. They have poor selection for a big toy store. You would think they would have more fantasy/video game/tv show section of toys. And when i ordered from them online, for Christmas. They sent me the wrong item(s).
Why would anyone with a brain in their head STILL go to this hell-hole of a store, with overpriced and subpar items, when you can shop on Amazon and get the better items for cheaper prices delivered to your day in two days time. Sorry Toys R Us, you're NOT for us!!
They have the large assortment, but not the right price. Too many times I've been disappointed with the right toy, too expensive. I can get the same item elsewhere for less.
I ordered an item from their site recently for my son's FIRST birthday. I ordered it 3+weeks in advance. I received and email stating my order would be delayed... they provided no reason as to why this was happening. Then they stated IF I did not get the item by AUGUST 8th 2017 they would cancel it on my behalf, and process a refund. My son's birthday was waaay before that date. I was devastated. I then played tag with customer support via emails on canceling the order only to have them demand verification... I SUBMITTED WHAT THEY NEEDED... then they tell me it would take 1-3 days for a refund to be processed if approved! Well then when I say ok please put my money back on my card ASAP before I have to use other legal avenues... WALAH magically my order was shipped... Something really shady there. WILL NOT being ordering from them again.
