Manufactured defect

Worst customer service. I bought shoes at the retail store, wore 5 times, and discovered a rip on one of my shoes. TOMS wouldn't do anything. They don't stand by their quality of the product. Not worth the money.

Abysmal
December 11, 2018

Abysmal customer service! Never again! I had them intercept an order because I didn't want it after a bad customer service experience. The email telling me that the package was intercepted was on 11/26. They received it back on 11/29. Still no tefund as of today 12/11. I called and after 30 min on hold (after multiple unanswered emails) was told that the refund hasn't been processed yet. According to the rep, it will take another 7-10 days for them to process it and then a week to 10 days for it to clear! That is $400 that I won't be seeing anytime soon! Their hold when you call is ALWAYS upward of 30 min! Absolutely horrible! Where is the value to their customers?

I have several styles of Tom's shoes... DO NOT order the Open Toed Wedges... I ordered the white... WORST waste of money! Wore them once and NO MORE! Money down the drain! I got blisters on my toes and heels... MISERABLE! Put them back in the box... never to wear them again! I have 9 pair of Tom's... Love all the other styles... HATE these!

Disappointed
March 17, 2017

I waited a week and I did not revieve my shipping statement. Not only did I have to contact toms myself to ask about my order, but I was also told that something went wrong. I am so disappointed because I was really excited to give them as birthday presents and now I can't because it's too late.

They don't even deserve a one star, the quality of your crappy shoes are like paper. Honestly just imagine some crappy Walmart flats. I could barely slip the shoes on when they should just be regular slip ons. In the process of trying to get them on they pinched the skin on my foot and caused a bruise. Not to mention the inserts come completely out of these... like I've never had a pair of flats where the inserts come FULLY out! Screw this company, their shoes are straight trash and I will NEVER order from them again. Freaking 65 dollars for some crap Walmart shoes, I've never been so pissed. Should of just kept getting my Skechers bobs, WAY better shoe company! DON'T waste your money at TOMS, I had a feeling I shouldn't have when I did and I was right!

They received my return 12/30 and im still waiting for a refund! I've contacted them on FACEBOOK, TWITTER, CHAT ON THEIR WEBSITE IVE CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY ACTUALLY HUNG UP ON ME! THEY KEEP SAYING 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS IN THEIR GENERIC RESPONSE TO ME, IVE ALSO PUT IN A DUSPUTE WITH AFTERPAY STILL WAITING! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! THEIR SHOES SUCK AS WELL POOR QUALITY

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service, rude and sarcastic. I ordered a pair of shoes and tried to enter my new address, well needless to say the address did not save. I did not realize it until I hit submit payment and saw it defaulted to my old address. I immediately called customer service and I was told sorry there's nothing they could do and basically I'm out of luck. How can they not change a shipping address?

I ordered a pair of shoes for my daughter-in-law's Christmas and when I received an email with the copy of the order, they left the address number off it. When I contacted them, all I could get was, when it cannot be delivered and is returned, they would give me my money back. They then suggested I order another pair and hopefully they will not forget this time. I do not trust them.

My sister and I have several pairs of toms shoes, they are cute, fun and stylish. What we love most about this site or company is what they bring to their company other than making profit for themselves, they bring joy to children who can't afford a pair of shoes. (Every time you buy a pair of shoes, a pair is donated to a child in need) They now sunglasses and for every pair purchased, the gift of site is given to a person in need. Awesome company.:)

Ouch!

I recently bought a pair of Toms Kallie Wedge Booties. I purchased a size 6 as that is the size I am and have worn in other Toms shoes. When I got the shoes, I tried them on, and they felt a little snug around the width of the foot, but the heel and toe had room, so I thought they would stretch out. I wore them for 3-4 hours and my foot literally went numb from being squeezed so tightly. (I have a very small foot). I then tried to return the shoes and was told there is nothing they can do because I've already worn them (for 3 hours). That was it. I was told that I probably ordered the wrong size and that there is nothing wrong with the shoe. Very unhelpful.

Bad shoes

I bought two pairs of toms a week ago and there is already holes in them :( i am NOT happy about it. I will never waste my money and time on these shoes. I tried to contact them and never heard anything. If i wanted holes in my shoes i would of went to payless...

Somehow Tom's got my email address (probably from LinkedIn) and began sending all too regular email ads, refusing to honor all "Unsubscribe" attempts. Calling did absolutely no good, unless I wanted to place an order. While their public appearance is nice and benevolent, there appears to be a dark predatory side beneath that. I seriously do not like being continually harassed, not to mention their repeated violation of the Federal CAN-SPAM Act.

I received my White canvas Alpargata... cute but not comfortable. Super lightweight, the edges all around the shoe is rough. I thought they would be like comfortable like sketchers but they didn't compare. I am really picky about my shoes being comfortable and these were far from it. Would NOT recommend!

PLEASE read all of the bad reviews before buying from this company.

Firstly, their alpargatas are awful. There'e a reason that you see so few of them around these days. They are so small, so tight, and not healthy for anyone's feet. I've worn an US Women's 8.5 for almost my entire life. I've bought so many shoes in that size with no issues, but Toms are different. The soles are SO narrow and the tops are SO tight. I couldn't even get my foot inside! The soles to be 50% wider to even accommodate the average foot and not be a binding nightmare. The length of the shoe was almost normal, but if it hadn't been for that I would've assumed that I'd accidentally gotten a child's size.

Beyond that, customer service is awful. I don't mean rude, and I don't blame the customer service employees for just doing what they're told. I mean that their policies are trash. NO alterations to orders that you JUST placed, NO price adjustments (even when their website mysteriously removes your 15% coupon during the last step, as happened to me), NO refunds, NO free returns, NO wiggle room, NO anything. Lots of sketchy stuff such as the free shipping minimum changing depending on what computer you're on.

I have included pictures of my soon-to-be-donated size 8.5 Toms in comparison to the soles of my well-loved 8.5 Converse and 8.5 Bobs. Please consider carefully whether or not these will even fit you before buying, because returns aren't allowed on most items and cost $7.50 on the rest! Oh yeah, and their socks are really tiny and ridiculous too.

Returned 2 pairs of shoes(115$) a few days after receiving them. Paid 20$ to get them shipped back. Tracked my shipping #. My shoes where in Surrey at Toms. SURPRISE SURPRISE they say they never got them and wont reimburse or credit. Welll TOMS just so you know alll good things come to an end. Ive read previous comments about the same issue. You will only be able to do that so many times. Karma willl get you!

Love the Shoes HATE the (Non) Customer Service
December 10, 2021

I placed an order for 2 pairs of shoes for my Granddaughter early this morning, so early that Tom's was not even open on the west coast yet. (I'm on the east coast) When I got the email confirmation I noticed that one was not the style I wanted (it came either as a bee or penguin. I wanted bee. They are sending penguin) so I immediately tried to call to see if I could change it but they were not open as yet. I waited until they were open and spent an hour on hold listening to how much they care about me and all the good charitable things they do worldwide. A nice young woman finally answers and after checking tells me that my order has been confirmed and there is no way she can change it! What! Within 2 hours of placing and I'm out of luck. I have more than a dozen Tom's shoes in my closet but this will make me rethink purchasing from them in the future. They have some of the slowest shipping I have ever experienced and yet they can't make a small change in the order within 2 hours of it being placed? I give 5 stars to the shoes but subtracted 3 for bad customer service.

Horrible customer service

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes, I never received them it says not deliverable address. UPS returned back to Toms on 3-25-22 its is now 4-27-22 no refund and no way to contact Toms no chat available and phone # doesn't work. Worse decision I ever made to order shoes from Tom's so upset. I had to give at least 1 star or I would of done none HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Poor quality

The soles wore out just after five months. I wore them about 4 times a week. I might as well use these shoes for ice skating...
At least the fit is nice and the fabric is still holding up.
