I've ordered 3 pairs of sneaker, once arrived tried them on briefly, they seemed fine so thru out packaging and tags. After a short walk to shops my heels are damaged and started bleeding.
Now for returns customer service repetitively asking for packaging and tags which I can't retrieve. Even tho I Cleary stated I no longer have it.
Not happy with shoe quality or customer service
I do like their shoes and respect the cause but the customer service is awful. My order was cancelled without explanation. No response to my three emails. It took me more than 30 minutes to contact the customer service over the phone only to be told it was out of stock. Then when I checked the website a few days later, my size of the shoes were still available. The chat doesn't work. I can't even leave a feedback. They may think "well, we are helping people, put up with some inconvenience." But TOMS is a business. Not a charity. I'd rather buy cheaper shoes and make donations.
I bought some shoes and despite the size guide they did not fit. When trying to return it has been a complete nightmare. The return portal said my order number didn't exist. And then your only option is to ship them back … so now I have paid $40 (both shipping fees) for shoes I cannot wear. The place I need to ship to is 20 minutes away so I could save shipping fees if I could drop off but when I arrived there they will not take returns. Never will I support this company in stores or on line!
I bought the wrong shoe size. It's 2022 you would imagine that returns would be easy. You have to pay for your return! So now im $40 out, and no shoes. They would not even offer to cover in store credits. This is absolutely ridiculous. I will ever ever buy this brand.
As a dude, I like shoes that are functional and no-frills. I saw a buddy of mines wearing some TOMS at the beach one day while we were at a bbq and so I decided to check out the site myself. I actually bought the shoes off Amazon but thought it was more appropriate to leave the review here. The shoes itself started with a comfy fit but as time went by, I wore the shoes in water and the shoes stretches out a bit. After that, they were never the same.
Definitely had the best customer experience ever! So here is what happened, I ordered boots and they were delivered to the apartment building where I live according to UPS but it looks like they were stolen. I was really upset, so I called TOMS customer service to let them know that I haven't find my boots in front of the building. The lady that I spoke too did not hesitate and immediately put credit on my account and reordered another pair of boots so I got them for free. I was impressed the way TOMS takes care of their customers. I will be TOMS forever customer, not to mention that the quality of their shoes is really good. Can't wait to get some summer shoes this year. Cheers to TOMS!
3 weeks, still no shoes. You CANNOT get through to customer service. My tracking says they are being shipped back to the sender for some reason. My credit card was charged $80.00 though. Three emails and no response. No one ever answers the phone!
After waiting 4 weeks, 2 shipments, one FedEx lost transfer to USPS, the other went to an address I haven't resided in in two years and I got to pay to have someone reship them to me, and my size 9 shoes are a size 11 in the box. Call to get a replacement and I'm told I have to wait 7-10 days to get my refund and then I can reorder. WHAT? This is your quality issue. Your rep should have immediately place another order and shipped overnight on your dime. He said he placed the order but I really believe that was a line of garbage. Haven't seen any confirmation I'll get the right ones.
On top of having bad customer service, they were inconsiderate. I only had the shoes for two months and when I cleaned the shoes with the foaming toms shoe cleaner my shoes FADED. They refused to replace or refund. Will not be purchasing for Toms again. Very Inconsiderate of them especially when you have been purchasing from them for a while.
I was given a pair of Tiny Toms leopard print for my daughter. They have a red/dark pink liner that bled through the shoe and stained it. Who makes toddler shoes that get RUINED when they get wet? I spoke with their customer service and they would not do anything because I am unable to show proof of purchase. Very disappointed in the company overall and especially in the quality of the baby shoes that cost quite a bit of money to be ruined in a little water.
I was very disheartened to see that Tom's shoes were made in China. If they truly want to help poor people then stop making them in China. Factories in China are literally "You owe your soul to the company store" You live and die in these factories! If Tom's is serious about helping the poor start in your own backyard! Shame on you Tom's!
After I received my package, I decided I want to return a pair of shoes. I called 5 times all at different times of the day. Would stay on the line waiting on a live person for at least 30 minutes each time, and would always give up waiting. I'm convinced they don't have a customer service center. Also, they never responded to my email or Facebook message. The Worst company ever.
Shoe sizes come up small, they make you pay for returns which is v expensive.
I sent my shoes back 2 weeks ago, no refund yet. They don't care, customer service is terrible. I feel like I will not get my £200 back.
Avoid.
The shoes are super comfy and I love the fact they have give a pair to a child in need ❤️ Their customer service is on point, especially the online chat! They are almost too friendly (if that's even possible)
I placed an order and they gave me the male size instead of the female size - when I called to have them change it they refused and also said I could not return them! They just lost a customer for life - should have known better than to buy anything based in California and they will never get another dime from me - I'll be filing a complaint with the better business bureau
Horrible consideration for Canadian customer! Ordered from Toms.com
Ordered first time from them online in 5.5, their website states sizing is supposed to true to size or to order smaller if in doubt. I have other shoes from them in 5.5 and they fit perfectly! I had to return the pair and pay $20 out of pocket because they don't offer free returns from Canada. I only ordered from the site knowing returns won't be free because I trusted a "reputable" company that sizing would be true. The shoes were way too small. When I asked for at least a store credit for what I lost in return shipping they rigidly refused. I guess they don't care about losing customers, so be it.
I purchased my shoes online, provided company with my current correct address they themselves sent my shoes to a previous address and they are needed for an event in 2 days and won't do anything to help, will never buy from them again. Tried to reach on phone, they don't answer
A few years ago their prints were wonderful: spotted leopard, madras, Mark Twain quips... I could go on and on.
Plus they were comfortable with that built in contoured padded arch support.
Their philanthropic and eco missions are laudable.
Now their target market is more the crunchy granola, and they have never worked out a viable solution for being able to launder or clean their espies.
I still like them, but I do not want to see them paint themselves into a cornered niche.
Four estrellas...
I wish I would have read these reviews before my purchase! My other Tom's shoes have been bought thru ZAPPOS which is a GREAT company. TOMS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY! I was past the 90 days and they wouldn't give me a store credit to get the shoes in a larger size! I cannot even get my foot into these boots! Now I'm stuck with an expensive pair of shoes that I cannot even get my feet into! I'm used to Zappos 1 year return policy so I never imagined that they would have a 90 day return policy. I would NOT recommend this company. Their Customer service is the worst!
TOMS site and company is great for one stop shopping. BUT, if you experience any hangups post-purchase be warned. They no direct service rep to speak with about faulty products or returns. And they offer very little assistance in finding a solution when their own products are damaged or are not of quality. They are very unresponsive to communication and make the effort required to return faulty goods a huge responsibility on the consumers end. Not recommended if you want any guarantee in your product.
TOMS Shoes has a rating of 1.4 stars from 77 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with TOMS Shoes most frequently mention customer service, store credit and free returns. TOMS Shoes ranks 609th among Shoes sites.
