Worse experience ever! Poor servcice TEAM and all!
December 21, 2023

I would like to express my disappointment with this company. They charge you for a 5-star service and give you a 1-star service.

My delivery should have arrived on 19 December. I received an update that it was out for delivery, then an update that the address was missing some info. I got in touch via chat, gave them all the information, doorbell, flat, floor, gate access code and was told that if there were any problems they should call me and I'd come down so as not to miss the delivery, because when you pay for a fast delivery service you don't want to miss it. Today they updated it again, with a lack of information again, and they had absolutely everything. I got in touch with the chat team who didn't know anything about my contact from the day before, they asked me to come into the chat after an hour and give them the reference number *******, after an hour I did this and the person had no idea what I was talking about, seriously, this doesn't sound like a serious company that takes its customers' problems seriously and seeks solutions. I then left the chat and rang, and a friendly attendant told me that she did indeed have the information from the previous day and that she didn't understand why they hadn't delivered, saying that it was their fault for not accessing the information and that another attempt would be made today.
So once again I didn't leave the house for the second day in a row waiting for the very difficult delivery, to my surprise I receive an email saying that they came in the morning but nobody was home? Sorry? I've been up since 7am waiting for this and they don't have the nerve to say that as a new excuse? But the worst thing is that the email says they will deliver it tomorrow... If with all the data and me waiting at home they didn't deliver it today, tomorrow will be a new excuse! I've asked them by chat, call and email to give me the chance to go to their depot to pick it up as I have a flight on Saturday and it's the Christmas holidays so it's difficult. I've been completely ignored. I believe that because I'm in the historic centre, which is a difficult place to park, they just ignore me and throw any excuse into their system. They had all the information they needed to make this delivery to me today.

In short:

-The company doesn't seek solutions to problems

-The delivery man can change his excuses for not having delivered to an excuse that suits him better

-They don't exchange information with each other and at every contact you have to explain everything and they still don't know what you're talking about They are incapable of solving your problem and when you find a solution they ignore you.

-Every time you contact them, they ask for 1 hour to resolve your problem and they don't solve anything.

-Just like other famous services that update you on the day and time of delivery, they don't update you with anything.

I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Awful! Avoid like the plague
November 17, 2021

Thought I would post here my recent experience of using the TNT (so called) courier service:

TL, DR version: Absolutely abysmal! Avoid like the plague! Literally THE WORST service I have received from ANY carrier anywhere in the world.

Full Version
Ordered some textile samples from Spain to send to Thailand. Paid a premium price (at least 20% more than regular mail premium parcel services) of €36, the supplier having been quoted, and advising me, 3-4 days for delivery. Package sent on 28 October 2021. Three weeks later, THREE WEEKS, and STILL the package has not arrived!

Tracking via TNT or 3rd party services is absolutely useless. No update AT ALL for over a week until I enquired. The sender contacted TNT only to be told the item was at Customs in Thailand. So why not update your tracking! Then a bunch of useless backdated updates appeared.

Since around 4 November more useless updates every day saying the package had arrived at the TNT Depot. Which depot?

9 November and FINALLY a meaningful update - ‘The package has been released by Customs'. Oh so the 3-4 day delivery time you quoted was total BS was it? Just a con to get customers to part with money and use your useless company?

Stupid of me to think that after getting released from Customs the package would be delivered promptly. 9 days later and STILL no sign of the package! There have been a bunch of useless and highly confusing daily updates since that date with the parcel bouncing round Belgium and now even Dubai? Seriously?

On 17 November I contacted the seller and complained again. He contacted TNT and aid the package will be delivered tomorrow. We will see! When I asked why 3-4 days suddenly became 3 weeks the seller said TNT had told him there was a delay at Customs. But Customs had released the package on 9 November so they can't blame Customs for the 9 days it's taken since then to NOT deliver. Blaming others for their own abysmal service.

I have also since read that TNT are renowned for drumming up charges for customers to pay to get their parcel delivered (sorry, I thought that was what I paid €36 for!) such as agent and other admin fees. For free samples TNT can whistle if they think I am paying 1 cent more, especially in light of their atrocious service.

TNT should change their name to SDGAF (Seriously Don't Give A F###!). As a stark comparison I ordered something from the UK on 14 November that I paid £9 to send by Royal Mail, arrived 18 November! 5 days DELIVERED!

It's quite clear that TNT are totally unreliable and offer the worst service I have ever encountered. Utterly shambolic in every regard. Their bogus claims on delivery times clearly only relate to your goods arriving at the destination country (if your'e lucky) and after that they will sit around (or go AWOL) until such stage as TNT can be bothered to get its act together.

I for one will NEVER use TNT again and have advised the owners of businesses I have dealings with to do the same. If anyone EVER suggests sending goods to me by TNT again I will refuse and, if they cannot offer an alternative carrier, I will order elsewhere.

Avoid like the plague!

Can't post any photos as the package STILL hasn't arrived!

Awful Service, Inefficient and Rude
April 7, 2021

I have never had a more frustrating or infuriating experience with a company in my life. The Home Office contracts with TNT/FedEx to deliver certain official documents including IDs and passports. It is the policy of TNT/FedEx to provide a 12-hour delivery window: 8am to 8pm. Given the pandemic lockdown, that's not as inconvenient as it otherwise could be. However, TNT's incompetent services make the delivery of an ID more painful than childbirth.

TNT/FedEx allegedly attempted to make the delivery twice, on a Tuesday and a Thursday. I was home both days all day, but never heard the doorbell. This is strange, as we have Amazon, UPS, and other deliveries regularly, and we always hear the doorbuzzer. I received an email on the Thursday delivery, saying that they missed me. I immediately ran downstairs and out my building to hopefully catch the delivery person, but he or she was nowhere to be found. So I called customer service. After holding for 20 minutes, I spoke with someone who assured me that the package would be delivered on Monday and the driver would have my phone number to call. No delivery Monday. I called again, and they said it would be scheduled for Tuesday. No delivery Tuesday. I called again and the person said oh, we need 48 hours to reschedule, so the Monday rescheduled delivery will actually be delivered Wednesday. Fine. No delivery Wednesday. I call, noting that I need the ID by Thursday as I need it for work travel the next week. I am assured it will be delivered Thursday. While the website tracker on Thursday stated that the ID was on track to be delivered that day, at 5:20pm that evening, the tracker changed to Tuesday delivery. I call customer service for the 5th time, hold for 25 minutes, and get through to a customer service rep who was rude, rushed, and unable to give me any helpful information. She said that I had to email my travel itinerary, but even if I did, no one was available to review it or prioritize my delivery until next Tuesday as it was too late to do so. I noted that I had called immediately after the tracker changed the date of the delivery, had been on hold, and the customer service rep had not provided me any solutions until it became too late to do anything about it. I was told that there was nothing to do and I was keeping her from leaving. She told me to email, call back Tuesday at 8am, and someone else would deal with it.

On Tuesday, I called at 8am but no one answered until 8:30am. The customer service rep assured me someone was working on prioritizing my package and would call me to confirm within an hour. By 10am, no one had called me, so I called them. They had no record of anyone looking into the issue so they had to restart the process. I was given an email address to communicate with the person focused on my case and assured that contact would reach out to me in an hour. An hour later, no call, so I emailed. No response for another hour, so I emailed a second time. Finally, at 2pm, I received a call stating that my package would go out that day, but they were looking for a driver. I was told it would be delivered by 8pm. I asked for more clarity on when it would be delivered as I needed to get a covid test, but was told only that it would be delivered after 5pm. I was also told that the customer service office closes at 7pm, so if it was delivered before then, call. No delivery by 6:15, so I called. No one picked up; I was on hold for 45 minutes. I emailed, no response. At 9:25pm, a delivery person showed up with the ID, after I had already changed my flight to a later time due to their ineptitude.

I called TNT/FedEx 12 times over the course of a week and a half. I emailed numerous times. Each time, there was confusion, inconsistent information provided, and a total lack of urgency as to their failure to do their job: delivery an envelope with an official government document. I had to contact them consistently over this time to get them to do the job they are contracted to do. It is infuriating. I have a job, but I have to be on hold for 45 minutes just to be provided incorrect or incomplete information. They acted like I was inconveniencing them.

Never ship through TNT/FedEx unless you have a nagging desire to put yourself through hours of frustration.

Tip for consumers:

Do not use TNT, use DHL for any and all shipping needs.

Honest Review from E-Commerce Business Owner
February 21, 2021

TNT are big and if you need a large network to send your orders there is slim pickings out there. They used to be half decent but since being acquired by FedEx they are less than acceptable. They regularly breach consumer law and they don't give a care at all. Your sales rep will act like your friend until they realise the company has done you wrong, then your sales rep will go silent. Our sales rep accidentally included us in an email that was meant for internal conversation, it could only be described as misogynistic locker room banter, unprofessional and disgusting they way they spoke about another colleague- a real eye opener.

We always followed TNTs guild lines and advice to ensure our products were "fit for travel" we also only booked on their Tech Sensitive service- it was more expensive but did not involve hand handling so less likely to get damaged. The operations managers and drivers would ignore our clear labels and Disassemble our packaging, threw away our wooden pallet, squeezed our goods on the Road Express truck and delivered damaged goods ALL the time. Meaning we paid for a service that was not received, we paid for packaging that was thrown away by them and we paid our employees to spend time to securely package our goods which they took apart. Ultimately resulting in broken goods. When we brought this to their attention we got a "yeah sorry about that don't know what that happened nothing we can do" reponse. They cost my company THOUSANDS of dollars, we were advised the manager would be in touch, never called. We spoke to consumer affairs who confirmed they are breaching consumer law- all companies in Australia are expected to provide Due Care and Skill- a bare minimum requirement when providing a service. I don't understand how an investigation has not been conducted through consumer affairs. So, we are now at the point where we could take TNT on in VCAT but is it worth a ill equipped small business to take on the stress of a monster like FedEx/TNT?!

They will treat you like you are small, because you are to them. They will treat you like you don't matter, because you don't to them. They will cost you thousands of dollars, stress and heartache and they won't even be able to provide a decent reason, excuse or apology.

They are the epitome of a large scale corporation stomping on small businesses and after the year 2020 has brought us, it's nothing short of absolutely disgusting they a business of this profile exists in the world. I mean, just look at the over 2000 negative reviews spanning over multiple platforms- have they bat an eyelid? Have they responded? They don't care. So, if you want to partner your business with a corporation who will happily rob you and sleep well at night, TNT is for you!
