I asked Taylor if I could get the 15% new member discount code even after I purchased the dress, he was very helpful and immediately refunded the 15% from the total cost of the dress. Now i am jut waiting for the dress, hopefully the dress is what I ordered. I would like to thank him for being very professional and because of this pleasant experience i will definitely return to The Dress Outlet site.
I haven't received my order yet, so may be back to update this later, but so far, making my order was so easy. Taylor on the help chat was fast, knowledgeable and helpful. I thought I was on too late since it was outside of the advertised chat help hours, but even late at night I got help and answers to my questions right away. Taylor even fixed a mistake I realized that I had made in my shipping address after putting the order through. Hoping the international shipping and the dress itself are as good as the customer service.
Got my bridesmaid dresses here and the lady on chat helped me and we worked on all of it together and with the size chart we measured my girls and got all the dresses within 3 days. LOVED working with them! I will be back! Price was amazing too and free shipping!
As a seamstress, nothing is more scary than having an altered item damaged from circumstances out of my control. After a huge panic, I was able to order a new outfit online as a replacement. I spoke with Taylor through the online chat and she had found the outfit I was looking for, sent me a link, and assured me it was IN STOCK and was available for 3 day shipping. I wanted to HUG THAT GIRL! She was quick, efficient, and knew her way around the website to have my real world crisis solved in under 10 minutes. Thank you so much Taylor!
So my first complaint is they have a very high restocking fee and on top of it you have to pay for shipping if you are sending it back. They never answer there text messages unless it benefits them.

I'm stuck with two outfits I do not want that were never even tried on. NO returns after five days. Given our shipping and availability issues now, this is just not good business. I will not order from them again because of this, whereas I might have had this been stated clearly and handled differently. I'm reporting them to my credit card company, the California Consumer protection agency as well as the better business bureau and complaining to their corporate office.
They give you 5 days of the time of arrival to return a dress. I was out of town and I thought the dress would arrive before I left. There's no way of knowing when a shipment would arrive. Order ******* Don't order from here, I'm out $105
I ordered two dresses for my son's wedding. I chose two to have the best chance that one would look like I wanted when I saw it in person. They were delivered on January 10th (the wedding was that weekend) and neither looked quite right so I placed them back in the shipping box to deal with later. I didn't have an opportunity to look at the return process until the next week (January 16th) but when I emailed them they said I had missed the 5 day return window. When I argued that that was a very short period of time and I had not even been in town to deal with it, they said that only one of the dresses could be returned anyway, as the other was on sale. AND that I would have to pay a $25 re-stocking fee if I returned them, AND pay for my own return shipping. I returned both dresses in perfect condition, all tags attached, in the box they came in (that cost me $25.88) and continued emailing the customer service department in the hopes that they would understand that I didn't want the items and since they weren't out anything (they could resale both) they should refund both. They continued to refuse and only refunded my card $103.99, a refund I didn't receive until March 2nd, after I emailed them AGAIN to check on it. I paid $219.98 for the dresses plus $25.88 to ship them back, so all total I gave this company $141.87 for NOTHING. And now they spam my email with ads. I'm not sure how they plan to get return customers with that sort of service. Who allows only 5 days to return something? And charges re-stocking fees for returns? All in all a lousy experience.
The Dress Outlet advertises fast shipping and easy returns - not the case! I repeatedly called and emailed to assure a timely exchange for my daughter's prom dress. Very long story short, I paid for overnight delivery and they sent me the same dress size that I had returned. They then agreed to overnight me the dress in the correct size. That would be nice if the warehouse knew that UPS only delivers overnight Monday - Friday unless you check the box for a overnight weekend delivery. My daughter's prom dress arrived Monday after her prom. I have repeatedly asked for the manager to call me to explain how so many errors could have occurred. I have yet to hear from Elvia. I cannot begin to truly express my daughter's and my disappointment with the customer service we received from Trisha, Miaca, Megan and Leann. I was repeatedly told to be patient and that they were expediting the situation to the team. They will ruin your special day too!
Sell low quality dresses for high price tags and have a very short return window so you're stuck with a falling part gown and no options.
