I've had TextNow for YEARS and never had any issues. Not a bot and or paid customer, you owe it to yourself to see how reliable this service is!
I paid for the card, it doesn't work, there is no free calling, and there is no available customer service for assistance. That's about it... Save for the fact that health insurance spammers can get through with perfect signal strength time after time even leaving default four-second vms. I'm not upset or anything, I didn't have high hopes about this from jump street, just saying.
Since using the service I've had two dropped calls other than that my issue is wanting to save and keep the number. However I haven't found or seen a way to purchase the number for a continuous year so as not to allow fraudulent charges from a month to month enrollment.
Overall, the texting and calls are good. I've had a lot of dropped calls or calls i cannot answer even though i had strong wifi. That's my biggest frustration. I also did not know you can't send links in text which would have prompted me to use another service but now I've given this number out for my business so it's too late.
I've been trying to change my signature but no matter what I do it goes back to the old one. I hate not having that control.

Almost every function of this app is free (things like photo storage only come with the paid version), but the only real caveats for a user looking for a free app are that you have to use your number every so often (I think every week? Not sure) to keep it active, and, of course, ads. They're not terrible, though, far less intrusive than they could be, and overall not a bad tradeoff for a free app. (There is also an ad-free version available.)
I paid $1 for a sim card and if all i need is calling & texting i get unlimited and dont have to pay another dime for a phone bill, or phone card, none of that. I think its amazing! Great job Text Now! Keep up the good work. Lisa Ford
I'm disabled and don't leave the house much so having cell service over the Wi-Fi works perfect for me! Never had any problems. Unless you count the ones that it took an older person to get used to the app. Hahaha Thanks text now!
There is a delay between 2 parties within the conversation at times and reception is not always clear. Overall for a free service I am satisfied as this is not my only phone service this is used as a secondary line for Job search and long distance use.

Sometimes incoming calls ring on my older tablet at home without ringing on my cell phone connected on WiFi away or at home at all; often inconsistent VoIP performance and at a disadvantage with competing free VoIP services allowing two factor and other verifications, as well as international call and texting. Advertising on TextNow is increasingly intrusive and time consuming--faster to relaunch it to continue time sensitive communications like texting... other than these inconveniences (American business culture transforming TextNows Canadian social consciousness foundation) individuels with low income must tolerate to use it
Just started using it it won't let me submit it because I hadn't used 50 Catherine but I just started using this app I really don't know how to tell you on this

This app is great, you can send picture messages, the speed of the message is quick. You can send videos but I wish they would update their system to have better video quality. Other than that very satisfied.
I have been using the same number for 3yrs with your app and I love it I want to lock my number in but I am on disability and have no extra money now but I will be locked in some time
Real trash. Lost number and account is suspended for email verification. Want to delete my account but no such option. Support stinks (some stupid Bot that is probably better than live support if they had one). I am surprised at people that call this free service. Get some self respect. This excess overload of intrusive ads should never be called 'free'. Coverage is very poor in my area, I can only use it with 'WIFI Calling'.
Thank God I was fortunate to learn about this App. My other phone froze up. I had no means of communication. Once I downloaded this on my saved phone, I have used it everyday. It is a remarkable App.
It comes in handy as a second phone line. Very convenient to use when im having outage issues with my regular provider
I sent a few group messages to ppl saying Happy Thanksgiving. I assumed this set off a spam alert. I message them on live chat. They say sorry your account is deleted and cannot be recovered "under any circumstances". You cannot get your conversation data either. Not "without a subpoena". I hope this place burns to the ground. 6 months of important conversation data gone. So unprofessional to tell people you have a new number. UGH
This is a great substitute while in hospital and my cell signal was intermittent. Wifi in the hospital was good so TextNow was great.

Answer: Well well well, u pushed the right button. I don't trust them at all. They tried hardly to get a photo of any of my government IDs, together with a photo of my credit card pretending to verify my identity and they rejected all other means for verification including calling my bank.
