I've been a TextBroker client for years and have always been happy with the level of service from their team, quality and quantity of writers and their easy to use user interface.
I've worked in the content marketing world for nearly a decade. I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly - from Blackhat SEO practices back in the day, to the repercussions of Panda- and Penguin-gate. Textbroker has been a valuable resource for me to find and vet authors, building relationships that, with some authors, have spanned 8+years. While the biz model of Textbroker is set up for turn and burn "set it and forget it" content needs, what I appreciate most about them is their ability and overall willingness to create a system that works for me. Putting out content needs to the general public makes it difficult for me to get quality work... I have too many specifications and specs on my orders, so TB has allowed me to work with authors one on one, which in turn establishes a system that works for all of us. Above all, I appreciate their prompt, IMMEDIATE, and thorough response time. I get email and chat responses in minutes and their team goes above and beyond to help me, every time.
Hi Jo! Thanks so much for your review! It's always great to hear how Textbroker has been able to make a client's work life a little easier. We're glad to have been able to work with you through the years and look forward to many more years of meeting your content and customer services needs!
Ever since I started using Textbroker for content, ALL of my sites are ranking better and the writers are amazing, especially Kathy H.
Excellent customer service too.
I have had some writers who are not writers. They just put words on a page. However, I have found real writers who I literally use all the time. THank you!
Hi Elliot! Thank you for taking the time to let others know about our service! We're so glad you were able to find authors who meet your needs and that you can work with on an ongoing, long-term basis!
The support personnel over the chat support program was really helpful. Probably one of the best support assistance out there in the market. Thank you for your services.
Hi Richard! Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback! We're happy to hear that our support team has been able to provide you with excellent service, and we hope to continue to do so for years to come!
Many people think their fitness level is low or that they need to workout more often. However, working out regularly can be difficult. That's because you need to find time for a gym and exercise, which can be tough. Working out regularly helps you stay healthy and strong. It also helps you lose weight and feel great.
Regularly working out at the gym helps you stay healthy and strong. It also helps you achieve your fitness goals- such as losing weight or building muscle. People tend to slack off when it comes to their fitness. That's why it's important to work hard to stay motivated. Doing so allows you to stay on track with your goals and feel great about yourself. Plus, you'll have more energy for other parts of your life when you feel strong from working out.
It's tough to stay motivated when you don't feel confident about your fitness level. Working out regularly helps with that; it gives you a reason to feel good about yourself and build confidence. People who are confident in their fitness look and feel much better than those who aren't fit. They also have more energy for other parts of their life. For example, they have more stamina when they eat and can control their weight easily. Therefore, working out regularly is essential for feeling good about yourself and controlling your health needs.
You should also work out whenever you can instead of skipping workouts. This is especially true if you're trying to lose weight or build muscle. Eating less reduces the amount of calories in your body each day. This reduces your body weight and strengthens your muscles at the same time. Therefore, working out whenever you can ensures that you're getting stronger and building muscle each day. Doing so allows you to reach your fitness goals much faster.
Regularly working out keeps you healthy, strong and on track with your fitness goals. Additionally, working when possible keeps you motivated and committed to a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, focus on doing what you can when you can- then schedule time for your workouts whenever possible!
I tried this service out and write accepted an article over and over and never delivered. I reached out to their Customer Service for help and were extremely rude and unhelpful!
After reading the policies I have found that in order to use textbroker.com, you must allow the owner of text broker to copyright your work to their name meaning they will be the distrubutor and collector (owner of your work) in regards to any energy accumilated/exchanged through your work. In my opinion textbroker.com is an extortion practice, and keeps good authors from ever truly breaking free with their work. Maybe they will pay you to write, when you need them too, but I wouldn't publish anything I feel good about with textbroker.com because I am a do it yourself type of person. If you have the ability to produce literature people want to read, invest in publication or find a publisher who will tell you how much you're getting paid before they own your work or even better a publisher who will allow you at least some ownership claim to your material. If you retain the rights to your work you can actually make a lot more money, especially if a lot of people want to read it. Textbroker.com retains the right to submit your work in many different mediums but with a little persistence and effort, you could too!
In short, textbroker.com is a school yard bully taking the apple from writers and returning a slice. PASS
I registered with Textbroker several years ago, but never wrote for them because I was getting more money writing elsewhere. Late last year, jobs dried up, so I went to them in desperation. While the operation is fairly operated, the communication with the writers is lacking. As for the pay, it is only decent if you get direct orders at the price that you set, and there are not a lot of requesters there that want to pay decent rates. Teams are not much better, most not paying more than the minimum allowed, which right now is less than slightly over. 015 per word. I am a level 4, and the editors do all they can to keep you there with extremely nitpicky editing. While it's nice to be able to pick and choose what I write, the topics are mostly commercial garbage, where you are supposed to write a general article and sneak in a promo somewhere "naturally," or product descriptions. What really gets me is that people are willing to write press releases and ad copy for the rates they pay, because copywriters are extremely well paid for those jobs.
I use it as a backup only, when times are tough. Stay off the forums unless you want to be trolled. There are a few on there who are just insane, and they keep changing their names so you don't know who they are. Textbroker seems to not want to do anything about them, because they are good producers. Go figure.
I could use Textbroker anytime for my orders. I used them for the very firdt time and I fekt very understood. When I needed an answer, I had an immediate answer.
Hi Deyon! We're happy to hear that you've been enjoying our services so far!
Easy process like I had hoped! Excited to start writing! Glad to see a variety of topics and pay for specific assignments as well.
Hi Tracy! We're glad to hear you're enjoying our services so far!
A bit of a slow turn around if you use the Open Orders pool, but great quality and customer service!
Thanks so much for your honest feedback! We're always working to improve site and services!
Overall it has been a good experience with some bumps that are hard to forget. My actual rating would be 3.75 stars.
Here is why:
1 - I think some writers should have their work prescreened for quality by Textbroker at various author star levels because at the three star level for example, you will frequently receive texts that will either require various revisions or heavy editing on the clients behalf before using the texts due to a great number of gramatical errors, factual errors, structure of phrases, etc. Increasing the star level of the authors will decrease the need for corrections, but that seems no not be a good excuse to be allowing authors who are not yet ready for a comercial environment, on the Textbrker platform.
2- The UX design needs some work because of the problems stated above. It would be important to me to have access to the ratings given on each individual order, directly on the past/current order list, and maybe even provide a function to allow authors who I have rated 5 stars for previous work, to either be notified I have set up a new open order and have a period of 6 hours for example, where one of them could choose to take it before it goes in to the "public" area where "new authors" can "grab" the order. The "new authors" are like a lottery, and can be very good or horible.
I could go on, but then I would have to invoice someone for consulting fees.;)
Congratulations for the following:
"Thanks for donating to help impoverished children in Africa"
Hi Hilton! Thanks so much for your honest feedback! We definitely understand the frustration of needing to send multiple revisions back to authors. However, we wouldn't be able to implement a review of orders before they go through to clients without a large price increase on our self-service pricing. We do offer Managed Services if you are interested! This would take the workload off your shoulders. In lieu of this, I would recommend that you consider either going up to the 4-star quality level, or perhaps putting together a team of your favorite authors to work with going forward. If you would like more information or assistance building a team of your favorite authors, please email us at clients@textbroker.com and we will be happy to help you with that!
I am a part time freelance writer and have worked for a number of different "content farms" and crowd sourcing companies, and Textbroker is one of the better sites I've found. They have a lot of work available; their pay scale is decent, and their customer support is excellent. My only issues have been that some clients try to scam authors out of content by requesting revision after revision, and in those cases (I have only experienced two) TB has been unwilling to intervene on my behalf.
Textbroker is not the highest paying site around, for sure. Their four star writers get 1.5 cents per word (they charge clients a fee as well, so the client pays more than that.) However, if you write solid, well-researched, ORIGINAL content, you will get paid what you are owed. They use PayPal, and I have never had a problem getting a payout; it is usually in my account the next day. In fact, my only problems have been with clients giving poor instructions and then complaining that an article didn't meet their needs. However, now that I know that TB gives me the ability to look up a client's "stats"--the percentage of articles they have rejected or requested revisions on--I avoid that issue by checking to make sure the clients I'm writing for don't have a high rejection or revision request rate. (The client I had a problem with had a rejection rate of over 50% and a revision rate of close to 200%.)
As to the complaints by clients that the work is substandard--they are probably right about 60% of the time, but what do you expect for < 2 cents a word? What's more, I find it astonishing that these people think that the writers should not only write well, but also know about SEO algorithms, keyword density etc. That is the CLIENT'S job. American companies have gotten so used to sending everything overseas that they seem to have lost sight of the fact that they are not going to get the same amount of work from an English speaking worker in the USA as they get from someone in India or another impoverished country for $4.00 a day.
I began writing for TextBroker in 2009. I was rated at a "4", which is where I remained for almost 4 years. In the middle of 2013 I had a client ask for changes 5 times on one article. I found out that he was posting these articles he was "not happy with" on his business site as they were being submitted. When I confronted him he decided to simply reject the article all together. I contacted TextBroker with the proof that I had of the client posting these articles and did not hear back from them for 3 months. They told me at then that too much time had passed. Within a month my rating dropped down to a "3", which is where I am still at. After receiving this rating I had my professors look over the work and was told that the Grammatical errors that I was being told existed were not present.
There is no consistency in the article reviews that are performed through TextBroker. It has been 4 months since any of my work has been reviewed. By the time the editors get to the articles they simply place an "N" in the rating. I have been told that this is to help catch up on older articles that have been waiting for review. However, this is an unfair practice. I am a writer that does need full-time work. I think the company had better services and relationships with the writers and clients before they tried to expand their business. The amount of work has not increased and the company as a whole is no longer leaving a professional image in the minds of their writers. While I do continue to write for my direct order clients through TextBroker, I have given up on the other work that the company has to offer. I have found other sites that I would encourage fellow writers to try out!
Customer service is always pretty quick and professional. When I have a question, it is answered or handled within the day or 24 hrs.
Hi Louis! Thanks so much for your review. We're glad to have been able to provide you with quick and professional service :)
This is a great service that we have had a lot of success with. Staff is very helpful and quick to resolve issues.
Hi Eric! Thanks so much for your review! We're happy to hear that we've been able to provide quick and efficient support.
Platform and customer service good but I still haven't found really good copywriters. Mixed results so far.
Hi Tim! Thanks so much for your comments and feedback! We definitely know finding the right author for your content can be a challenge. If you'd like to reach out to us with more information on your projects, maybe we can make some suggestions for you. Please email us at clients@textbroker.com and we'll see what we can do!
I was satisfied. They were fast by submitting the projects in a brief delay. Only I would love if they could separate the paragraphs with headings.
Hi Gudhealth! Thanks so much for your review! Our authors can definitely separate the paragraphs with headings. Next time you place an order, just be sure to ask for that in your order briefing!
I have spent the last 15 years as a professional writer. Blogs, print and also have worked as an editor. I'm no slouch at writing.
After literally hundreds of blogs for these people over three years, hundreds, all rated a "4" - all of them - ONE client rejected an article (after asking for changes that I made per his instructions) and, not being a mind reader, (apparently I didn't get what he meant in his 15 word email) he rejected it. After three years, hundreds of blogs and ONE unsatisfied client I was reduced to a "3" with a congratulatory email -no kidding, it read: "Congratulations! You are now a 3 star writer."
Wha? 3 star writers have a more limited pool of choices for blogs (and they aren't that great to begin with!) and less pay. Because on ONE unsatisfied client.
Actually, that's what cut if for me, although I really should have moved along long before. These people are clearly idiots. Often you find yourself writing blogs that you normally wouldn't because the pool gets so limited. Your "pay" can be sort of decent (it is NEVER good) and don't believe anyone who says you can make a living at this!- but also can be quite paltry. Quite. You are not in control of that either. Many of the blogs ask for "from a Canadian point of view" or such that will discount it for US writers. Many blogs are $1.50 product descriptions. Some client's instructions are filled with grammatical and spelling errors. Some are unclear. Some clients are good ones, but some want "War and Peace" for $6. And TB will expect you to do that. They ask you to include all sorts of things that are not in the realm of "writing". You're actually better off flipping burgers or working at the 7-11 and working on your own blog or novel. Trust me. It will be a lot more dependable.

Answer: Hello Sherryle. When you sign up with Textbroker, you essentially become a ghostwriter. You'll need a PayPal account as that is how the company pays on a weekly basis. You don't get personal credit for the content because you're writing on the behalf of clients. Jobs are placed in the queue that you can accept if you wish. Once you complete the job and the client accepts the work, you are credited the money. Every Thursday night, you manually accept payment into your PayPal account and are paid on Fridays. You will need a valid form of ID - since it is a legitimate company operating out of Las Vegas. Some people have a problem with that, but they file taxes and send 1099s just like any other US business. It's no different than applying for a job in your local town - if you live in the US. They have a trial period when you first sign up to determine your skill level. If you're an exceptional writer, you can start at level 4 - which makes more money per word. Personally, I started at level 3 and worked my way up. The best way to maximize the experience is to be picky on the jobs you take and sign up for any active teams you can. Team Orders usually pay higher and have a greater volume of work. Some can keep you busy until judgement day. If an order is too confusing or has questionable requirements, move on to something else. You'll experience less problems that way. If you develop a good report with Open Order clients, you can attract Direct Orders. These are some of the most lucrative orders you can get because you set the pay per word. In the time I have been writing with the company, I've attracted quite a few Direct Order clients. I've been working with Textbroker since 2012 and have completed more than 4,000 orders. On average, I make around $15 per hour when I actually sit down to write. Working from home has a lot of distractions :). With one particular team, I can make $50 in less than an hour, but those orders go pretty quick as there are more than 100 authors in that team. Keep your profile updated and filled out completely. When clients and team leaders search the database for authors, your skills and interests will be how they find you. I hope I was helpful and good luck. Take advantage of the author forums. There's a lot of good people that can help you out - such as myself.
