"Life's Symphony: A Journey Through Moments"

Symphony of Life: A Journey Through Moments

In the heart of a bustling city, where the pace of life seemed to quicken with each passing day, lived a man named Ethan. He was an observer of life, finding solace in the intricacies of the world around him. For Ethan, life was not just a series of events; it was a symphony of moments, each one playing its unique note in the grand composition of his existence.

Ethan had a routine that he followed diligently. Every morning, he would wake up before the sun kissed the sky, and he would step onto his small balcony overlooking the city. With a steaming cup of coffee in hand, he would listen to the first notes of the day—a distant car engine, the hum of people getting ready for work, the soft rustling of leaves in a nearby park.

One morning, as Ethan sipped his coffee and gazed at the horizon, he noticed a young woman sitting on a bench across the street. Her eyes were fixed on a tattered book in her hands, and a gentle smile played on her lips. Her aura exuded a sense of serenity, as if she was engrossed in a symphony of her own making.

Intrigued by her presence, Ethan decided to venture beyond his usual routine. He crossed the street and approached her, curiosity dancing in his eyes. "What symphony are you listening to?" he asked, nodding toward the book.

She looked up, her eyes meeting his with a mixture of surprise and amusement. "A symphony of words," she replied. "Each sentence, each paragraph—it's a melody that resonates with my soul."

Ethan felt an immediate connection with her outlook on life. They sat together on the bench, sharing stories of their favorite moments—the laughter of a child, the touch of a loved one's hand, the scent of rain on a warm summer day. They discovered that they were both seekers of the extraordinary within the ordinary, the magic within the mundane.

As days turned into weeks, Ethan and the young woman—Grace, as he came to know her—explored the city together. They visited hidden gardens, listened to street musicians, and watched the sunset paint the sky in hues of orange and gold. Each experience was a note in their shared symphony of moments, a melody that grew richer with every passing day.

One evening, as they sat on the balcony that had brought them together, Grace turned to Ethan with a question. "Do you ever wonder what the climax of our symphony will be?" she mused.

Ethan looked at her, his eyes reflecting the city lights. "Perhaps the climax isn't a single moment," he said. "Maybe it's the culmination of all these moments, each one contributing to the grand finale."

Time flowed on, and Ethan and Grace continued to orchestrate their symphony of life. They faced challenges and celebrated victories, all the while cherishing the melodies that wove their stories together.

One winter morning, as snowflakes fell gently from the sky, Ethan took Grace's hand and led her to a park they had visited on their first adventure. The city seemed to hush, as if in anticipation of their next note. With a joyful heart, Ethan dropped to one knee and held out a small box, its contents sparkling like a promise.

"Grace, will you compose the rest of our symphony with me?" he asked, his voice trembling with emotion.

Tears of happiness filled her eyes as she nodded, a symphony of emotions playing on her face.

Their journey continued, now as partners in a symphony that resonated not only with their souls but with the world around them. They faced the future hand in hand, their hearts beating in time with the rhythm of life.

As the years passed, their symphony continued to evolve, branching out into new melodies and harmonies. And when their hair turned silver and their steps grew slower, they would sit on their balcony, listening to the echoes of their life's symphony—a timeless composition that had been built on the foundation of ordinary moments, transformed into extraordinary memories.

In the end, they realized that life wasn't about chasing after a single crescendo. It was about embracing every note, every cadence, and every pause, for it was these moments, both big and small, that created the most beautiful symphony of all—the symphony of life.

DOH open to Metro mayors' call to ease restrictions for fully vaccinated persons
September 10, 2021

The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday said that it might consider the recommendation of the Metro Manila Council (MMC) to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) to ease Covid-19 guidelines for fully vaccinated individuals in the National Capital Region (NCR).
However, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that the main consideration for the decision is the fact that majority of the population is still not vaccinated "and hence it may lead to discrimination especially to those who don't have access to vaccines yet."
"We are carefully reviewing and studying these kinds of recommendations. Furthermore, DOH maintains that we still cannot differentiate between those vaccinated and unvaccinated as Covid-19 vaccines are not transmission-blocking," Vergeire said.
Fully vaccinated individuals, she pointed out, can still get infected and even transmit the virus.
On Thursday, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Benjamin "Benhur" Abalos Jr., also the concurrent chairman of MMC, said that easing of restrictions for fully vaccinated individuals in the metropolis would help the government's campaign to vaccinate the rest of the population, and that the move would gradually bolster economic activities, particularly industries and services greatly hit by the pandemic.
"With the NCR being considered right now to be the epicenter of this pandemic and the region with the most number of vaccinated individuals, we are confident that we can find the right balance between safeguarding the public's health and reviving the economy," Abalos said.
Abalos cited that the NCR registered around 56 percent of the eligible population or 5,492,344 individuals who have completed their doses as of September 8, while 84.21 percent of the eligible population or 8,262,558 individuals already received their first vaccine shot.
"Administering first dose of the vaccine is crucial, but approximately a month from now, since most of the Covid-19 shots have a three to four-week interval from the first shot, those who got their first jabs will eventually complete their vaccination," he said.
Abalos added that by October 8, Metro Manila is expected to reach 77.57-percent vaccination rate or 7,601,685 of the total eligible population.
"The more people who complete their inoculation, the sooner we can achieve population protection," he said.
"And since the AstraZeneca vaccine has an interval of 12 weeks at most between the first dose and the second dose, we expect 87 percent of the eligible population in NCR to be vaccinated in three months time or not later than December 8," Abalos added.
Metro Manila local chief executives urged the IATF to "consider the easing of the Covid-19 guidelines for fully-vaccinated individuals in NCR subject to the conduct of an inter-agency and inter-disciplinary study to determine the appropriate policy therefore based on scientific and empirical evidence," the resolution, which was unanimously approved, stated.
Metro Manila remains under modified enhanced community quarantine until September 15.
The MMC, composed of the 17 Metro Manila mayors, is the governing and policy-making body of the MMDA.

Poor Pay, Needy Clients and Insignificant Content
September 1, 2016

When I first started my career in freelance writing, I began at Textbroker.com. For a new writer, the pay seemed okay, although certainly not enough to pay the bills, and the articles that were ordered covered interesting topics. After adding several other similar writing sites to my arsenal of work sources, I saw that Textbroker is one of the lowest paying companies for writers. They have not improved their pay rates at all since I joined them five years ago.

Over the past couple of years, their clients who place direct orders and team orders are increasingly needy, unnecessarily nasty in their communications, and they all promise "tons" of work that never materializes. There are always chances to apply to write for specific teams, but after being accepted to join numerous teams, 99% of them never posted any work. I recently was accepted to a team, was unable to begin writing immediately, as in that very day, due to another writing project commitment, and was dropped from the team less than a week later. I guess they expect people to be satisfied with making only the pennies that Textbroker pays without taking on outside gigs. I have a direct order client, who I will be dismissing soon due to his poor communication, who has been sending me messages that he is sending work "on a couple of minutes," then "can you start today?" (when I had already stated that I was available on that day), then "I will send work tomorrow" and here I am still waiting. His instructions for assignment number two, which is the one I am waiting for, contradict his rewrite instructions for assignment number one. He must have liked my rewrite of assignment number one because he accepted it, rated it highly and paid a substantial bonus for it - the least he could do since the article took much, much longer that it should have due to his strange demands. Finally, I do not like being asked to write material that is either unethical, misleading or downright incorrect, which seems to be too frequently at Textbroker. From what I have read, clients for whom a writer has never written before can blacklist the writer - based on what reasoning, I have no idea

The forums seem to have no moderators, and so they seem to be hotbeds for nasty attitudes and pointless snarky comments. This is not the case on the forum where I do most of my content site writing these days.

Finally, the article topics on Textbroker have become more trivial and ridiculous than ever. 90% of the titles are just little product description blurbs. Gone are Textbroker's days of writing informative articles about relevant topics, it seems. Where health topics used to cover illnesses or treatments, they now want product descriptions for supplements and rehab clinics.

I rarely write at Textbroker anymore. I have held on to one client who is pleasant to work with and provides interesting and enjoyable topics, and I will give a new direct order or team order client who approaches me a chance. I would not recommend this company to writers these days. Even as an entry level writer, there are other sites where you can do significantly better.
