Membership got renewed without sending reminder OR informing us, I was expecting atleast a gentle reminder which was not done. In entire a year used for couple of weeks, & found no use for us.
All of sudden saw charges made to my card. This kind of act is cheating to customer, looting people.
I called customer care asking for refund payment which she says not possible, it horrifying business tactics.
Please be careful while taking membership

Misrepresentation
July 30, 2022

I accidentally stumbled upon this site and actually laughed out loud at the amount of false information. The owner of this company has absolutely zero qualifications or appropriate training to provide these services. If you note there are quite a few disclaimers and I could guarantee they make it known that they are just there to "help prep" for tests but can't actually provide testing for schools. This is because they do NOT have the credentials. She talks about how her mom has an advanced degree in education which is probably how this company gained access to these tests which are highly restricted for unlicensed and uneducated individuals. For the love of God people do not waste your time or money.

Read me! It saves a lot of your money.
July 15, 2022

Two years ago, testing mom was fantastic. They are preoccupied with selling lifetime memberships and making a quick buck through online coaching. Many excellent apps are no longer available in testing mom (IXL was gone a year back and now Scootpad will be discontinued after August 2022). They are not adding any new apps, and the majority of the apps that are available are garbage. It's only a matter of time before they sell the company to someone else after loading users with lifetime membership.

Please avoid this company, their mock questions contain a lot of error, with a bunch of redundancy. My kids failed the exam after learning from their material for few months. Then I cancelled their poor service. But their website automatically recharged my credit card even I had cancelled their service. It is absolutely a waste of time and money if you use this their service.

Still new, need some guidance on how to use it. Kids have upcoming exams, so I am trying to help them through all the testing mom's resources. It seems that have a lot and kids who can be well prepared for the exams.

Shady Business Practice
April 28, 2022

Shady business practices. It "auto-renews" your membership. The Customer service rep Geena was unhelpful in providing a refund and pointed me to the "terms and conditions" which is tucked away in a corner of the website. Why would a parent opt for auto-renew when the test itself is complete and there is no more preparation required?

Fraud
March 28, 2022

This company fraudulently bills your credit card. I did not sign up for a subscription and I did not authorize them to randomly charge my credit card any additional services. They are not a legitimate company, they operate a educational web site with test prep services but they automatically sign you up for random courses and material which you aren't requesting. The charges range from 39.00 to nearly 300.00 (PER MONTH) in a year it was nearly 2K!

When I attempted to reach them over the excessive charges and random unauthorized charges for courses my son was never enrolled in, Kathy told me that I should have read the fine print and that they automatically enroll every customer in these services. I explained that I only order the one Cogat test prep and did not subscribe to anything. She then mocked me and basically said that I had no way of getting my money back from them.
Then I later found other claims against them for operating multiple scams. Unfortunately my life to much for me to keep up with as it is and they have gotten away with robbing me.

But if I can at least save one other person from being victimized by these thieves I at least can do that much!

Blessings and best of luck finding a reputable company to support you educational needs.

Kathy came through for us when we determined testingmom.com was not the best fit for us. We appreciated the opportunity, but in the end all was made right. It's not often you see a website that will show a level of professionalism that will do what is right. We should've done more due diligence, but in the end we appreciated Kathy circling back and making sure we were happy. Thank you again Kathy and TestingMom.com. We would recommend to others as long as the fit is right.

This company is not concerned about customer service or satisfying long term customers. In addition to the annoying requirement to long in to certain programs through their website, and then having access to these programs deleted if you don't sign in every 30 or so days (and having your kiddo have to start all over in those programs by retaking the placement tests as all information and work your kid has done is erased from the system... something that does not happen if you just sign up or purchase from some of these companies directly (and a lot of them are free))...

They intentionally set up their renewal process in such a way that you are guaranteed to be charged automatically due to the fact that they do not send out a courtesy reminder of automatic renewal, and make you check a box during your initial purchase asking if you want a reminder email. If they cared about their customers being happy and wanted to keep your business they would just automatically send out this reminder like most DECENT companies not just out to make money.

I called the company immediately after receiving a charge for a service I hadn't used in a few months, and the customer service representatives were rude and unwilling to refund my money. In the end, it only hurts you TestingMom because people who would have been repeat customers are unhappy and offended by such treatment and won't purchase from you in the end again, and will warn other folks not to use your services due to deceptive and unscrupulous business practices. I hope the additional 1 year charge was worth missing out on a lifetime of happy, returning customers. I know I won't use your services ever again, and will look elsewhere for my kiddos.

To use every single site/test in testingmom.com you have to pay more always you have to pay for something. There is nothing useful in their site that you cannot get for free on google. I got one year subscription and they again charged my credit card without my authorization this year. These people are thieves/scammers they committed credit card fraud. I even did not know I have a subscription until my credit card that I had not used for 7 months suddenly got charged. Last year I paid $99 this year I was charged $105, don't you have the decency of at least sending an email to people about your subscription increased fee? I strongly advise people to stay away from them, once they get a hold of your credit card information they keep charging you without your authorization.

RZA,
All of our memberships, with the exception of our Lifetime, do automatically renew unless cancelled prior to next bill date because we promise uninterrupted access. This is indicated on our Buy Now and Checkout pages which you have to agree at least twice in the purchase process. I apologize if this was overlooked but please know I'd love to help you further. I've left you a private message so we could connect and I could look further into your account. I'd like for you to have a better experience than that with TestingMom because of all the resources we offer!
Thank you,
Kathy

This company is to stay away from. I had a membership for one year, and then they apply automatic renewals. They charged me $105 for an automatic renewal. I emailed and called them to let them know I don't need the service and want my money refunded. Yes it is mentioned on their website that they will automatically renew and they hide behind that. This is not customer-friendly at all. Who behaves this way especially is COVID times when people get laid-off? The only interest of this company is to make money, not to have happy customers. Additionally, how do they use the money? The interface of the website is extremely poor and would need much work to make it interactive. The only thing this company has is access to the records of the tests, which they monetize and they just make a lot of margin with poor website interface, and horrible customer service. One of the worst experiences as a customer I ever had in my entire life. Seriously.

I used the website membership for 3 months from Oct to Dec for my daughter's G&T exam. After that, I clicked the cancel my membership button on their website and thought it's all set. I was billed for $43 for the next membership fee on Mar 10, then I found it on Mar 11 and went to the website to check what's going on. It turned out after clicking the cancel my membership button, there's a website with a lot of information. I have to click some small words on the bottom of the website to finally cancel the membership. I called their customer service, they refused to refund the fee of their membership which I haven't used for 4 months and won't use it in the future. I hope others can see this review and avoid this kind of trick.

Poor
February 25, 2020

I was charged one more year for renewal which is $ 99.00dollar. But I didn't even receive any email or phone call that remind me, testing mom just changed renewal fee, and my kids do not use it any more. Once I realized, I called testing mom, they refused to refund, and I call my credit card company to dispute it, testing mom deactivated my account but recharged $99 from my bank account again. It has been 2 months already. They deactivated your account but charged you for renewal fee.
I do not want my account be reactivated, there are many grammatical mistakes, the website is useless, I purchased for 1 year, it's not worth, and you charged me one more year automatically, only thing I want is refund me $99
It was so terrible that when I called many times to testingmom, they refused to refund me, because they insisted they when I purchased, I signed the agreement I will be charged automatically for renewal fee. Be aware of this website, there is hidden words when you sign the agreement, the staffs are rude even the supervisor, they refused to refund. The supervisor even replied me that I didn't receive the remaining email about renewal because the yahoo mail may go to junk box, it is so ridiculous, I received all my emails, how can testingmom renewal email went to junk email automatically?

Deceptive renewal policies. Do not remind you that they will be billing your card and then will not refund money once billed. Signed up for an exam prep and didn't cancel immediately afterwards. Site itself is useful although much of the material is available elsewhere.

OVERPRICED
January 25, 2020

All the preparations for state tests are all the same, and they advertise this as one of its features. It gets its worksheets from 3rd party sources; therefore, there are many grammatical errors. For all of this they charge $90 per year, and is not worth it. This website is horrible. Please stay away from it.

Great for homeschoolers also!

We love TestingMom. We initially started it when we were looking to test my son for the G&T program at the start of 1st grade. He did well on the test but didn't get our first pick school until 3 days before the start of school and we had already moved him to private school. In the middle of 2nd grade, we ended up homeschooling and have been using the Skill Building Academy for its amazing resources!

Their goal is to continue charging you without your consent. You can not cancel online. They say come back in 48 hours or call us. You call them and get a voice message asking for your information.
