Telegraph Customer Service - what a joke.
Some bloke called Declan - what a waste of time. Does someone actually pay this guy a Salary?
No response from anyone else in the customer service department - absolute disgrace.
May have to revert to litigation to get my money back!
If the credit card registered to your Telegraph on-line account is approaching its end date Telegraph on line will deny you full access to their on-line content by having a drop down (as effective as the fire curtain in a theatre), this covers up to 75% of the screen and nearly 100% of the content.
Content you have paid for with your hard earned money, in full, in advance.
I suffered this, and protested regularly for over a month to customer service that my new credit card had not yet arrived and was thus impossible to update, this went on continuously for well over a month until I eventually lost the will to protest and decided to completely cancel my subscription which was anyway due to expire shortly.
Cancelling my account got rid of the drop down!
I shall of course, especially miss reading Allison Pearson - the voice of reason.
Telegraph Customer Service were exceptionally unhelpful and deserve the highest possible award for their comprehensive and total ineptitude.

(NOTE: To other reviewers - why are you leaving 1-star reviews and yet still giving them your money? These people don't deserve it - cancel your subscriptions, and give them your honest thoughts on their Google Maps page as well - search 'Daily Telegraph newspaper publisher, 111 Buckingham Palace Road').
Dishonest crooks. After creating a free account on their website, I thought nothing of it until I received an email the following year informing me that my 'subscription fee was increasing'. What subscription? I hadn't agreed to pay one.
Cancelling is impossible online (that would be too straightforward), so after calling them up I was able to cancel this covert subscription package they had signed me up to, but they refused to refund the >£100 I had been swindled out of. Instead, with characteristic contempt, they refused to apologise and blamed me saying I should have read the small print more carefully.
At no point did I recieve any warning that this free account would sign me up to a paid subscription, and the first indication of this was an email they sent the following year after several months spent dipping into my bank account. If this warning prevents others from getting ripped off by this company, it's been worth it. They are dishonest money-grubbers with contempt for their customers. Avoid!
Tip for consumers:
Be cautious when creating a 'free' account on their website as this can be upgraded without your permission or knowledge.
This online DT appears to be going downhill, even further now.
The awful new format excludes you from having access to readers comments which usually better written than the paid journalists.
Used many years ago, to be a great paper, how things have changed!
Advertised £59/yr and a free tea towel. Were charging me £19/mo. Outright dishonesty. Never did get the tea towel.
I like this trustworthy source of information which is always full of reliable news. I know many other good newspapers but the Telegraph is in my opinion one of the best. They provide good information from all over the world and from every area of the life.
Get blind drunk at work, have sex,.no one sees anything. Than your conscience realises what a slut u r. Than get rewarded with big payout, ruining many lives cause u can't handle the TRUTH.that's politics folks.how much more can a koala bear.bet u don't have the guts to print this TRUTH. Mark
Bothersome and Aggravating.
Nuisance and continuous popups pertaining to subscriptions and despite being a long term reader of the UK Telegraph I will not subscribe until the following concerns are addressed by the UK Telegraph.
1. Get rid of your acerbic non-reporter (Ben Riley Smith) and his protege Rozina Sabur. Smith and Sabur continue to give their personal slant on President Trump instead of writing like Journalists and reporting the NEWS in an unbiased manner. Smith is also rude in his questioning at Press Meetings. Instead of asking pertinent questions that matter he continually builds or attempts to on his un-important and emotive narrative. His obnoxious behavior and disrespect towards the President of the USA is duly noted by many. Not a good advertisement for the UK Telegraph.
2. The UK telegraph does not allow comments anymore about various articles UNLESS you are a Subscriber. Does this not limit what you are seeking, which is new subscribers? I opine that new subscribers can be easily obtained by a free sharing of news and thoughtful, well written comments. Of course to accomplish this task the Telegraph would also need to create an environment that subscribes to the ethics of journalism.
3. The UK telegraphs continued refusal to print any negative news about Joe Biden and Hunter Biden and the level of corruption during the eight years of Obama, the Clinton Foundation travesty, the treasonous sale of uranium to Russia and the Clinton kickbacks.
Just a few things that come to mind and should have been reported.
4. Instead I get what your newspaper called a compromising position' report of Rudi Guiliani laying on a mattress fully dressed in a film. Obviously written with the hope of discrediting him because of the recent Biden revelations. Dishonest and Slanderous and I hope he sues.
The UK Telegraph used to be a good journalistic endeavor. That reported unbiased news and mostly followed the canons of Journalism. Not opinion pieces with untrue headlines geared towards sensationalism. What happened?
Great source for news and features covering all aspects from health to cars.
Latest news, business, sport, comment, lifestyle and culture from the Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph newspapers and video from Telegraph TV.
