Placed order, PRE APPROVED to insure delivery. NO letter was ever sent to deny order. In fact just paid off my last payment from last year. Waited two days for packages to arrive. NASTY CUSTOMER SERVICE, hung up on twice! No phone call, NOTHING! Two days before Christmas and this company don't give a F! Never again order from this cheesy lousy outfit again! Save your money, buy better quality gifts at your Dollar Tree, or 99only Store! It's been a rough year with family members passing from COVID, going through cancer, and thought this would be a great way to shop this year! Less stress? What a JOKE Swiss Colony, and the helpful Customer Service Team have been to me. One more Pre Approved letter, Catalog, or email, I'll file a lawsuit! You folks are a joke!
I order an item that they said was available two days later they cancel my order claiming it was unavailable at this time. (Bate and Switch) So in haste I order another item I was unsure the person I was giving it to would enjoy it. I Tried to cancel it with in 30 minutes, first call did not go through 3 emails no replies. 2nd phone the representative assured me it was canceled because it hadn't been shipped yet. Two days later I was informed because my emails came "after the produce was shipped I could not cancel them" I wished I would have read the reviews before ordering from this company.
For 2 years in a row now Swiss Colony has used FedEx to ship my orders to me. I will start by saying in my opinion FedEx is a terrible shipper. I wouldn't use them if they were the last company available. I placed an order on Dec 4th and received updates this past week several times. Pkg was supposed to be delivered this coming Sat the 16th. Instead it was misdelivered today Dec 12th at an address 15 miles from me. I received a confirmation email with a photo of where pkg was left. Not my house! I called Sw Colony and asked for either a new shipment or to get a credit on account. They could not guarantee shipment by Christmas so they gave me a credit on account. Will NOT be using them ever again.
Kept getting the run a round regarding why my order would not ship. Customer service wa rude and only would say unfortunately there is nothing we can do.

For the third time I have ordered Christmas gifts for people on my list who live away. This year was especially bad because some gifts were RECEIVED before December 1st. The man who took my long order, over the phone, guaranteed me numerous times that the SHIPPING day on all 12 orders was December 12th. Inappropriate and so disappointing. It would have been much less embarrassing had the packages not arrived until after Christmas than a few days after Thanksgiving.
I wish I would have checked out their reviews before ordering, but I've seen them for years and years so thought it would be great. It was a gift so I asked for the delivery to be made on 12/16 but got notification that it would be delivered on the 7th, which it wasn't and it was finally delivered on the 9th. The first box anyways, the second one, which were chocolates were delivered the next day and just left at the door. What a mess! Will never order again, or recommend this company!
I ordered New Years gifts from this company for my business partners, typed in FIVE different addresses on the site for them to be delivered to along with notes to all of them. THEY WERE DELIVERED TO MY DOORSTEP. That was not how they were ordered. They are refusing to give me my money back. Now they want me to donate the items to a food bank and reorder AT MY EXPENSE. I will not be going anywhere during COVID19. That was the whole point of having things delivered to people individually. Do not ever order from this company. They are treating me like I'm some kind of idiot. I didn't spend 30 minutes looking up addresses, writing individual notes to have them delivered here. Side note: if their items are perishable as they so state in their email to me, why were they not delivered in ice, rather just thrown on my doorstep. Again DO NOT EVER ORDER from them. You got my hard earned $208.00., I hope that makes you happy.
Update: Fed-Ex received the product(s) for shipping on 12/13 and they were delivered today 12/14. Received e-mail from customer service saying items were shipped on 12/5 and to expect up to 10 days delivery time. I think when your products sit in limbo for 10 days (i.e. Label created/not sent to fed-ex yet) - and you have conflicting info (yes they shipped 12/5 - No Fed Ex has not received until 12/13) - it is worrisome for the customer. All they'd have to say is when you place the order "expect delays after creating label"...
I placed an order (2 gifts to 2 different addresses) on 12/3. The label was printed on 12/8. The current Status is FED EX has
NOT received the product yet to SHIP. Today is Dec 13th - that is 10 days.
I called Customer Service, could NOT get thru. I don't think that would help anyhow, based on other reviews. When I check with automated phone system, it says shipped on 12/5. Nope not according to Fed Ex tracking they have NOT even received the product yet, therefore they can not give me a delivery date. They could send out e-mails saying "expect delays" or something, instead of outright lying about it.
This company has a policy that allows people to "buy now and pay later." Yet they have no control over this scheme. I was supposedly sent a cake by a person. I did not order it, nor want it. However, the person took the buy now pay later option. 7 months later I received the bill for the order. When I called customer service, they verified that another person had ordered the cake, but then refused to tell me anymore or delete me as the person who owed money to them. Instead I was sent to Loss Prevention, and spoke with a woman named Tracy who clearly has never actually done any fraud investigation in her life. Despite immediately placing the account in fraud status, this company is now requiring that I go through a dispute to prove I never ordered it. They have the account number and can look up who set up the account (not me) and applied for their credit (as it requires a social security number) and refuse to do so. They even then acknowledged that the cake that was supposed to be sent to me was never delivered but somehow want money for it? Save yourself the hassle and order from a company with values. This company has none.
First of all trying to understand someone from the Philippines to take your order. Second if all scamming the $1.99 insurance as a monthly charge! At first I said ok. But she failed to tell me it would be monthly. When I said no I don't want it she said she couldn't take it off. I wanted to speak to a manager, but was told she wasn't available! If a company is trying to gain customers they providing good service to them!
My mom has been purchasing me a fruit cake from Swiss colony since I was 16 it is my birthday and Christmas present every year since then I'm now 62 and I cannot see myself not getting this cake every year I have never had a problem with Swiss colony the shipping is prompt and whenever I need to call them they are very helpful and accommodating this year my cake was delivered to the wrong house and I got on the phone with them instantly and they instantly refunded me and sent me another cake so you people who have a problem with Swiss colony you need to check yourself because if you call these people with a positive attitude you will get positive results thank you
This was my very first time ordering from The Swiss Colony and it will absolutely be my last time. I was expecting some top notch charcuterie items but I must say that what I received was not worth the $50 I paid for it. With the name being "Swiss Colony", I had hoped for some delicious Swiss chocolates instead of items that were cheap Dollar Store quality with melted chocolate covered peanuts and stale low quality chocolate balls. The yule logs tasted like Dollar Store bootleg ring dings. Nothing they sent had an expiration date on it so I'm pretty confident from the looks and taste when I say these items must have been years out of date. I wish I had done some checking on my end first before ordering. I would have seen the 1.39 customer satisfaction rating this company has and read the poor reviews before spending my cell phone bill money on this garbage. If I had, I would have read the other 116 critical reviews from other people who purchased from this company. Totally Disappointed.
I have been ordering from Swiss colony 7th avenue and Jenny for almost two years now payments are paid early every month and because of a bad issue with Montgomery Ward they refused to accept any more orders I give them zero Stars my suggestion to you don't order from any of the accounts because no matter how good standing you keep your order they'll screw you over
WORST COMPANY EVER! I Placed an order in March for Easter goodies to be mailed to my grandkids and my parents, I get an email asking to call them so I can make a deposit before shipping the items which I did. Hours later I get another email saying the items I had ordered were no longer available so I called first thing in the morning to ask for a refund. I was told that they'll be mailing me a and l said "no check I paid with a credit card and I want that money back in my card" ok they said "it'll take 3-5 days" so today is 4/20 and I get an email saying "A check has been mailed to you and it'll take 7-10 days to arrive". I called again and told them "I said no check, so now they're putting a stop to that check and supposedly refunding my credit card. I asked for another type of compensation since issuing a refund shouldn't take a month all they said "we will give you $10 off your next order" like really?

SCAM ALERT! Long story short, they mailed me a bill for the products purchased, when I went online to pay the bill, I received multiple errors that "my account couldn't be found." So, after a call to the company telling me the same thing, I forgot about it (thought maybe I had paid in full at time of purchase and the bill was an error). Nope, received another bill, this time with late fees, when I called again I was told they would add even more fees if I paid over phone, and needed to pay online, even though AGAIN my account could not be found. So I reached out AGAIN via email to customer service, who assured me they would take care of the outstanding late fee (I had already mailed a check with balance on account), THEY DID NOT, BUT INSTEAD REPORTED ME TO CREDIT BUREAU. An absolute scam. DO NOT ORDER. Also, in dealing with this learned they ARE NOT ACCREDITED BY THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Wish I had known this.
I ordered sugar free candy. What I got was a meat and cheese tray. I am a super busy woman. I don't have time to return stuff like this. I won't be ordering from them again.
