“It was a nice surprise to come across this posting...”

It was a nice surprise to come across this posting for the Official Site of the US Supreme Court and find people interested in reading the case law and opinions along with the dissents in cases that make it through the system to the highest court in our country. Since this is the official site I find that this is mainly for purists of the Constitution and Supreme Court opinions. It if fairly easy to navigate if you know what you are looking for however I personally find FindLaw.com to be more user friendly and will post a review of this site next. In the meantime you may want to read a very controversial case recently decided by the Supreme /court and leaving many Americans going "huh"? This landmark 5-to-4 decision by the United States Supreme Court that corporate funding of independent political broadcasts in candidate elections cannot be limited, because doing so would be in noncompliance with the First Amendment, makes for interesting and thought provoking reading.

Am I the only one who finds reading Supreme Court opinions interesting? Here's a link to the most recent ones: http://www.supremecourtus.gov/opinions/09slipopinion.html

Love him or hate him, Scalia's opinions can be awfully entertaining...
