I had a great experience with Alex and his team when I found myself in a tight spot. My original movers canceled at 6pm on a Friday evening before my Saturday move, which coincided with a special event weekend. I reached out to several moving companies, but due to the event, most of them were either closed or fully booked. Fortunately, Alex responded promptly and assured me that his crew would be available the following day at a reasonable price. The three individuals he sent were highly professional, hardworking, and completed the job efficiently.The only minor issue I encountered was that they arrived with a sprinter van instead of a full-size truck. This posed a challenge in fitting all of my belongings, which extended the total time and cost of the move. I ended up having to load a few items into my own car to make everything fit. When I inquired about the choice of the smaller van, they explained that the truck is sent for the specified volume of items, so that there is no unnecessary overpayment. In hindsight, I would have been willing to pay the higher tolls to ensure a larger truck for a smoother transition. It's possible that there was a miscommunication, so I would recommend clearly specifying your need for a full-sized truck when scheduling to avoid any such issues

That's when Star Van Lines, and specifically, Eugene and his team, came to our rescue right on schedule at 9am sharp - just like they'd promised. They efficiently whisked our belongings from our spacious 1-bedroom in Queens to our new Manhattan residence, all within an impressive 3-hour timeframe. Exemplary!

Now, there might be chatter about the team not being overly friendly. However, in my view, expecting vibrant sociability from movers seems a bit off-track. Eugene, Artem were professional and straightforward, perhaps even a bit on the stern side. But considering the physical demands of their job, I reckon they deserve a pass. Especially when they perform their duties at a cost that's more affordable than most. Not a single item was damaged under their care, except for a ceramic bowl - a casualty of our subpar packing rather than their handling.

Their billing was transparent and commendably economical. The quote was set for a mandatory two-hour minimum, with an additional half-hour rate afterward, plus an optional extra hourly rate should we wish to bring in an additional mover – we didn't. Comparing this with numerous quotes from various services, their pricing was downright reasonable.

In a nutshell, our move was smooth, swift, and notably cost-efficient, all thanks to Star Van Lines and their proficient team. Worthy of every penny spent, particularly for sparing us the customary moving-day exhaustion and the stress of truck driving and parking.

As a seasoned mover, I expected a bit more finesse. The move was swift and the cost was manageable. Nonetheless a few of my items suffered minor damage.

These gentlemen were good, incredibly swift, amiable, well-coordinated and ensured all my items arrived in impeccable condition. I'd highly suggest their services.
