Their attention to packing was evident but some of my items experienced wear and tear. It's a mixed bag – they excelled in certain areas while faltering in others.

The only hiccup was the slight ambiguity in their pricing. Their advertised rates are $295 for two hours and a subsequent $75 for every extra half-hour. They also charge $17 for each flight of stairs. When I inquired about the pricing, they did repeat these details but added a $20 charge for wrapping my mattress. A tip: if you wish to save some bucks, get a $5 plastic mattress cover. I saw one at a store in Chelsea. After packing my items quickly (a bedroom set, a large table, mattress, and some chairs), they reached my new home swiftly. On completion, I paid the amount I was told and even tipped each member, including Akmal and Alex, $30 each. Surprisingly, 15 minutes into the unloading, Emil mentioned an additional $34 toll fee, which was puzzling as they had just moved a short distance in Manhattan. Though I was taken aback, I settled the amount because I wanted to conclude the process without further ado. To sum it up, Star Van Lines did an excellent job. I might've liked a clearer breakdown of costs, but given the efficiency and time saved, I can overlook the unexpected $34

My moving day turned out to be a surprisingly smooth affair, thanks to the team from Star Van Lines. Roman and Alex arrived promptly and had everything transferred from my initial location to my new apartment in under two hours. While my move wasn't covering a long distance and I had a relatively small amount of furniture, the efficiency they demonstrated was nonetheless impressive. Their employment of wardrobe boxes and other packing materials ensured a swift and organized process. The financial aspects were discussed transparently upon their arrival, which I greatly appreciated. Both were exceptionally mindful of safeguarding my possessions and personal space, expertly wrapping items and safeguarding against any potential damage to both furniture and architectural elements. My worry about couch maneuverability was quickly resolved with their problem-solving skills! Moreover, they efficiently handled the procurement of the Certificate of Insurance, ensuring all management company requirements were satisfied.

I had a great experience with Alex and his team when I found myself in a tight spot. My original movers canceled at 6pm on a Friday evening before my Saturday move, which coincided with a special event weekend. I reached out to several moving companies, but due to the event, most of them were either closed or fully booked. Fortunately, Alex responded promptly and assured me that his crew would be available the following day at a reasonable price. The three individuals he sent were highly professional, hardworking, and completed the job efficiently.The only minor issue I encountered was that they arrived with a sprinter van instead of a full-size truck. This posed a challenge in fitting all of my belongings, which extended the total time and cost of the move. I ended up having to load a few items into my own car to make everything fit. When I inquired about the choice of the smaller van, they explained that the truck is sent for the specified volume of items, so that there is no unnecessary overpayment. In hindsight, I would have been willing to pay the higher tolls to ensure a larger truck for a smoother transition. It's possible that there was a miscommunication, so I would recommend clearly specifying your need for a full-sized truck when scheduling to avoid any such issues
