Springbok-Puzzles

Purchased 1000 piece dream garage puzzle. Upon completion, I was missing one piece. Mind you I don't have a cat or pets and I keep my puzzle area clean they couldn't do anything for me except offer me a new puzzle which wasn't what I was looking for as I just needed that one piece. Furthermore, the outside of the box says 24" x 30" which most normal puzzles are so I did what I usually did and bought a frame for a 24 x 30" puzzle. Went to put the puzzle into the frame like I have 20 other puzzles in frames and this one didn't fit because it's 24 1/4" x 30 1/4" so pretty much wasted my time again. And that's all I have to say about that.

Cheap materials and consistently poor cutting of pieces with shaggy edges take away any satisfaction at all from assembling these puzzles. But the company is apparently getting enough sales to ignore sub standard product. Great pictures but the pieces give you 1000 reasons to curse. Puzzles should be enjoyable but you feel like your just making it through these Springbok disasters. Shame on me for forgetting what abject misery the last one brought me and being fooled into this miserable purchase. Got me again, Springbok.

Puzzle bought for elderly man. He really enjoyed doing it but very disappointed that one piece was missing. We searched all over for the piece even in the vacuum bag to no avail. He does puzzles regularly and is very careful about keeping pieces together. This was his first Springbok puzzle and his last unfortunately.

I bought my 88 year old uncle the 2000 piece Sun kissed Cabin. All the pieces were exactly the same. No where on the box does it state that. Matter of fact the example piece was totally different than what was in the box. Also the pieces stated they were bigger than actually are. I would not recommend this puzzle to anyone!

The cardboard quality and thus the cutting is so poor that Springbok puzzle pieces often have to be "mashed" into place. There is absolutely no "snap" when two pieces match. Many pieces are shipped still joined together due to incomplete cutting. Even the boxes which hold the puzzle pieces are super-thin and flimsy. Definitely an inferior brand and without the deep discounts that might justify the poor quality. A real disappointment.

Received a Springbok puzzle as a gift. Considering the price i expected excellent quality. I was very disappointed. Material felt cheap and the cuts were not at all clean. But rather fuzzy. Pieces did not snap together cleanly but rather "mushed" together. ( sorry. Best descriptor i could think of). I would never get another Springbok.

I haven't done a springbok puzzle in years, so I was excited to purchase one this week. As I'm putting it together, I note that the pieces feel spongy and they don't snap together well. I have to press them firmly into place to get them to fit together. Even the puzzle box is cheaper and flimsy. I remember springbok quality being much better than this puzzle I'm working. Disappointed and probably won't purchase another sprinbok puzzle

After purchasing and enjoying Springbok puzzles two years ago, I recently purchased four puzzles and received a free mystery puzzle. Began with the mystery puzzle which is a bag of pieces without a photo or indication of piece count. The mystery puzzle turned out to be 500 count picture of 12 birds and had a piece missing plus an extra identical piece, which means someone else will also have a puzzle with a missing piece. Next, the 1,000 piece challenging snowman puzzle also had one piece missing and the quality of the pieces were disappointing. Nothing like the quality of the puzzles I bought 2 years ago. The pieces were thin, came apart easily, several pieces had folds and kinks, and the picture was peeling off all of the smallest pieces. The guarantee offers a replacement of the same puzzle, but once is enough! I'm sorry that I still have 3 more Springbok puzzles to contend with. An expensive lesson learned.

I have always loved Springbok puzzles, but the one I am working now is very disappointing! Pieces fit poorly and are thin! If this is what they are putting out now, I won't be buying anymore- and I work puzzles constantly!

I bought this springbok puzzle a little while ago and am totally disappointed. I always buy white mountain puzzles and decided to try this one. The pieces are not cut cleanly and I spent hrs cleaning the edges, inside, etc. I am ready to just toss it away, that's how awful it was to do this. I threw a handful of the leftover edging etc away before I decided to give a review. I do have a small amt in the picture although this was the last 20% of the pieces I had to clean. The scenery on the box is beautiful but I will definitely stick with White Mountain puzzles I never encountered this with any other puzzle and I have been doing these for over 10 yrs. I have a picture of the leftover edgings but it wont let me post it as it's to big. I have it stored in my gallery.

I recently purchased a Springbok puzzle for the first time, at the same time I received one as a gift. I was excited about the subject matter with canoes on the shore and the gifted one succulents. I was more excited to find out they were made in the USA. I opened the bag and was skeptical because the pieces seemed odd, but decided the benefit of the doubt. I sorted all the edge pieces and as I was sorting I felt the quality of the product was definitely not what was listed on the box. I felt the pieces were cheap and felt by shape that it was difficult to determine edge pieces. I started to piece them together and just put the pieces back in the box because they do not fit together well. I will most likely steer away from this product in the future and will have a hard time explaining my disappointment to the person who gifted me the other puzzle because she was so excited and wants me to put it in my office.

I loved working on my Springbok puzzle called "VINEYARD RETREAT"! But as I was completing the puzzle, I noticed there was a piece missing! I have never had a piece missing before! I sent an email to Springbok asking if they could replace the missing piece & have yet to receive a reply! Hoping to hear from them soon! And I did not receive proof of purchase!

I have been doing Springbok puzzles for over 40 years. I had puzzles hanging all over my house - so much so my husband said he would leave me if I put another one on the wall. What I loved about them was their thick pieces and how well the interlocked. You could actually pick up the puzzle when completed without gluing it and it would not fall apart. Recently I started purchasing Springbok again - 3 in the last 2 weeks and was very disappointed with the second one I put together (picture attached). The pieces were not locking at all and I had a hard time putting the puzzle together because the pieces would not stay together. I also had a hard time gluing it in the end. I will not do any other puzzle - only Springbok - but this one was totally disappointing. Hopefully, my third one I just purchased will work out better. I have not started it yet but will keep you posted.

When I wrote to Springbok about the poor cut job of my puzzle pieces, they replied, "Springbok has a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. We are dedicated to maintaining a long, happy relationship with our customers. We stand behind our product."

However, in a subsequent email, they wrote, "all replacements must be the same puzzle that was defective." This AFTER I HAD MANUALLY SEPARATED ALL OF THE PIECES OF MY PUZZLE!

They weren't interested in rectifying my situation in any other way.
This is the last Springbok product I purchase.

Because of the material they use, the pieces are really fuzzy on the edges instead of sharp and crisp like a good puzzle. They simply do not lock together right even when they are the right piece. This makes putting the puzzle together unsatisfying because it is hard to be sure if you have the right piece. They need to cut their pieces more exactly. We do a lot of puzzles, and these are the worst manufactured pieces we have come across.

Buyer BEWARE! I have completed two of Springbok's puzzles and neither of them came with all the pieces. What a disappointment. I called Springbok and all they offered was another puzzle after sending them a photo, scan # etc. Why in the world would I want another puzzle? It is not going to be complete either? I have completed Buttons and Basket of Lavender. Springbok is a total disappointment to me. I would stay away from this company! Never ever going to order from this place AGAIN.
