Spotify is my personalized music streaming service, offering a vast library of songs, playlists, and podcasts. Whether I'm working out, studying, or relaxing at home, Spotify has the perfect soundtrack for every moment. I appreciate the personalized recommendations and curated playlists, as well as the ability to create and share playlists with friends. The premium subscription is well worth it for the ad-free listening experience and offline downloads.
This company is so bad in so many ways, especially customer service. I was originally signed up for a 3 month premium trial, which led to me cancelling the trial after 2 months and a half. However, the premium was still active for some reason and I was charged $11 for no reason. I reach out to them A DAY after my account was charged, and they tell me "give us screenshot of you cancelling the trial" or "since you never cancelled according to our records, we cannot provide refund". Which is stupid as I remember cancelling my trial so this is obviously not my fault. Nevertheless, I only used spotify less than 10 times the past 2 months and I reached out A DAY after this was charged, so for a big $#*! company to be acting this stubborn over a $11, I just know I will never be back. Youtube music is better you guys, with all the unreleased which spotify could never anyways.
I just accidentally reloaded my Spotify, and what i saw disgusted me, i hate the home screen i liked the old one, and please make the lyrics tab show bigger lyrics again, i don't know why you would change that, i dont want to sit on the app the entire time to sing along to some songs when i could be doing hundreds of other things
Sometimes it's kind of hard to search for a song if you don't have the exact name. I rather say that YT is a bit better due to this reason.
Tip for consumers:
Not really
Products used:
The student subscription
Good: quality
Wide variety of songs
Easy to get
Bad: pay to get premium
Too many ads, I AM NOT INTERESTED
Bad free version
Pause before purchasing Spotify premium. One will get just about the same service using the free version. Customer service is also almost nonexistent. Good Luck.

I've had Spotify for years and never had a problem until today. At random it logged me out and trying to get back in has been a nightmare. Of course I have a different email and forgot my password so that's not on them but the service they offer while I'm trying to figure it out is ridiculous. They don't have a call center like you'd expect from a huge company that's been around for years and when going to there support site they have you message a robot, needless to say nothing came of that. Not to mention the support site was sloppy, confusing, and difficult to use. When I finally figured out on my own how to create a new account I figured I'd sign up for premium. It's says " you can't upgrade to premium in the app. We know, it's not ideal." Ok… well how can you? Any instructions? Not any I could find. As far as the app goes if all goes well they are great when wanting to listen to music for a decent price. But managing your account or and trying to find help when needed I would give a zero out of ten.
Tip for consumers:
Idk Good luck I guess

... it turned out that I think they sample your listening habits for just 1 month over a 12 month period. It's really not worth it. Look at other music companies that 1) don't publicize your listening habits. 2) amazon music supports hd and ultra hd music quality 3) youtube music supports music videos. Only thing spotify allows is networking through facebook, but if you don't use facebook then you lose a third of the app's usefulness, hence, why i gave it a three. Yearly wrap is a big rip!
Spotify is very good at predicting songs in the same mood than what was previously playing and creating playlists tailored to your wants, however they lack a place where all of your songs can be seen. This forces you to continuously play from playlists, and you forget about songs you enjoy that aren't in those playlists.
There is also no way to see what songs will be playing next if none are selected.
Could definitely use an upgrade in these parts.
I've been a Spotify user since 2007 and I was just simply trying to change a song. I have a premium account. I clicked on the song and they would play a different song, by the same artist. So I kept clicking and they kept playing a different song by various artists. I had no queue.
One add per few songs is annoying enough. You can't even have the option of skipping it once an add begins. Unessessary attempts at greedster money grabbing. Being forced to listen to adds is the way your app gets deleted off my phone. To force users to pay $10 a month to not get bombarded by adds is shameful greedster behavior.
Thanks to Spotify music is accessible everywhere. However, the algorithms only play the same songs over again, the artists are complaining about not being paid enough and smaller artists have a hard time getting on the platform
Spotify is of course well known for their primary product, their music streaming app. While of course, they are the leading and most influential music streaming company out there, the quality of their product has been declining. Certain desirable features have been pulled out without replacement, such as their mobile lyric option.
If your team reads this, please take note of the following: do not "recommend" music to me, just add it to my playlist and if I like it, then it stays, if I don't like it then it's shouldn't stay. I don't have time to sit and spend one hour creating a playlist, or adding songs to my playlist. We're adults now, please start valuing time again.
I would advise that if you are a Prime member with Amazon or a Google account holder that you either download digital music via Amazon's music service or watch videos on Youtube. Charges are high on Spotify and the program or application tends to crash quickly and easily. Logging in and out on the website is also difficult and unreliable.
I prefer to use other music apps as this one I can't really navigate and I can't find what I am looking for half the time. Not an app I would recommend.
It's nice for the consumer but if you're a musician selling your music on spotify, you know they don't pay you s**t. You get 0.7 cents on there. No, that's not 7 cents. That is seven tenths of a penny. Which means you don't even get paid one penny per play. Not a very efficient source of income, I'd say. Spotify is putting musicians out of business because of this. They are running the site, making money from consumers, while the people who REALLY run it - the musicians/songwriters - are getting duped. If you want proof of this, then do the research.
By the way, I see people who use spotify for the same 8 songs... nothing else. If you wanna listen to the same 8 songs via spotify, just go buy the 8 songs on itunes. It's cheaper & it's a one time cost. This way you're not paying $10 per month for something you could pay $8 for one time & be all set.
As a musician, I am among the several people who stopped selling my music on spotify. I don't support this kind of business practices. So I took my music back... MY music. The stuff I put my blood sweat & tears into producing.
This is just my opinion. No offense to people who use it.
Could be better for me. Personally I imagined a little better interface and performance. Cant tell my choice as this would be an ad, but so is my subjective marking.
I guess it's a good app but if using the free account there's too many commercials. I would say it is the best app when using the premium service tho.
For the money people pay who for premium we should be allowed to add our music that we have downloaded on our phone to the app, spotify makes it so inconvient to do this, first you ahve to download it to a desktop then some other craziness too much, I may be leaving this app alone
I like this app, I found it easy to use, too many playlists on it. As well I really like have the ability to organize my music and see what my friends are listening to. It's just good!
So, for the last 6 months I've tried Spotify instead Youtube, and it looks like they're comparing not whose gonna play better music or stuf like that, no, it looks like they're comparing about whose gonna play more ads! Please do something about those ads.
WELL THERE IS NOT MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS WEBSITE. The cost is $10.00 a month with unlimited use. No commercials once you pay for it, It has almost any song you want. The process to download is so easy a newborn could navigate through it procedures. It is a great website to use if you love music.
I love the free music. The only thing I dislike is some songs are not available that are on google play: glee sings billy Joel ( how can you have every other glee song but those?), the Beatles are not available either just to name a couple. I love the service but definitely will be switching to google play.
Good to have an useful app for discovering new music, but don't know if it will lead to fewer people will but the physical copies
Spotify is a digital music service that gives you access to millions of songs.
