I love splice have been using splice for a while now like multiple years and i always find something interesting that i can use. I dont know why the bad reviews
I wasn't able to pay my membership fees due to some personal difficulties. When I explained my situation and asked nicely if I could resubscribe to my "legacy" plan, I got a sarcastic and snarky response from customer service. It's difficult to believe that this company values their longtime customers. I'm going to give Artgrid.io or sounds.com a try. Their customers have mostly left positive reviews about their experiences.

Splice is a fraud company. I got a package for my son who is Autistic but love to make music. I paid for one package $21.99 with 14 days free trial and right away they upgraded my account to $29.00 a month without my permission, next they charged my account for the program $189.00 for the program that i didn't even buy and they are refusing to give me my money back i am reporting this company to several agencies and trying to get my money from my credit card company. Beware everyone!
This is a deeply dishonest and malicious business fraud. They deceive users into ordering products without revealing the true price, then they inform you of the actual price and tell you that you can get neither the product or a refund.
I am certain that this service will be the subject of a class action lawsuit.

Splice's phone number is *******636. What is Splice's official website? Splice's official website is //www.splice. Com. What is Splice's Revenue?"
Try it.
Tip for consumers:
Simply do not use this site. Their Facebook page is full of complaints and not one response from Splice. Customer Service is non-existent. They even give a false phone number for their company. It is the number for "Moviephone".

Terrible ui, navigation on the site is unbearable, you have to go through several tabs in order to get to what you want. Searching is god awful, it's always the same $#*! that comes up making it hard to find and explore through the search bar. Most vocals are half assed. Recently all my sounds got deleted because of splice so i have to go through and redownload everything. Stay away please.
If you were trying to rent to own anything from them, just don't. It's not a real service they offer; feels more like just a billing scam. Whatever you are trying to rent to own will NOT work properly and just end up frustrating you not only due to the lack of any logic or reason behind their operation. Their "licensing & activation" is so flawed and phony it's laughable. They'll give you a free trial period and make you pay for it over the course of 20 months. If they weren't bad enough, they also possess the absolute WORST Help Center I have ever heard about and had the displeasure of having to deal with. You have to write them about 3 emails and click boxes over and over to confirm you need real help and that their troubleshooting is a load of $#*!. Just save up your money until you can buy the effect/plugin you want outright because the way they do business and carry themselves is absolutely despicable. And when you do have the funds buy from sweetwater or any other source because the people over at Splice do not deserve a single penny. I'd give 0 stars if possible.
Tip for consumers:
JUST DON'T. IF YOU FIND YOURSELF ON THEIR WEBSITE FOR ANY REASON ESCAPE AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.

Essentially nothing. Used my email address the most out of anything just attempting in vain to resolve my issues only to find out they're incapable of fixing or helping anything; just spewing off about their troubleshooting which 100% is just as moronic and frustrating as Splice itself. All real life bots over there.
Signed up for a ‘free trial' of the weekly subscription ($4.49 pw), was then immediately charged for a yearly subscription of $110.99!?
I'm stood down from work due to COVID lockdown and am barely scraping by, so will now struggle to pay rent.
STAY AWAY FROM SPLICE!
Tip for consumers:
DONT !!!
Signed up for a free trial and took a yearly payment right away from my account. Calling my bank and Best believe I'm getting my money back. Gonna report this app everywhere I see it and give this review on all platforms.
FRAUD! I had never heard of Splice until I noticed charges on my bank account. I have no idea how they got my account information. I am old and living off SS. These are crooks.

Is this a scam? I hope so, if they tryna sell a legit service and this is what they got, jeez, changing job is the only tip i can give them
Splice was, once, THE tool you needed to try. And at the start, everybody I know tried it and was adamant about the bugs. But we all thought Splice would invest in the right places, would update their products while aiming at their target.
But years later, it is now clear that Splice is the worst.
Here are some things that are just not tolerable from such a platform.
- The app is buggy af on macOS. The website is a resource hog and keeps on crashing.
- Their libraries are un-sortable, the interface never changes and is stuck somewhere between 2010 and 2012, design like. The GUI is made by someone that is clearly not using it.
- The customer service is $#*!. Period. There, I said it.
- Pricing are not relevant anymore.
- The very fact that there aren't unprocessed sources - and the fact that it is not sortable - is probably the worst mistake here.
- Their app, although aimed at musicians with home studios, doesn't offer any audio setup, nor any kind of customization.
- Licensing is dodgy at best.
- The very fact that most of your sounds will stop working once you stop your subscription tells you what kind of garbage company this is.
In the end, Splice is not worth the money. Loopmaster for the win.
Tip for consumers:
A good customer service would have made up for 75% of what most users complain about.

Poor sounding samples, not curated at all. Takes many hours to wade through all the garbage to find anything half decent.
Very Disappointed. I began a Softube plugin rent to own and never could successfully download the application. Splice has been well aware that I have had issues downloading the plugin and yet decided to bill me for it anyway. I wanted a credit applied to another plan but they would rather keep the money. Not a good way to do business at all.
I signed up for a 14 day FREE trial, and instead got charged overnight. $13.99 thati didn't have plus another $1.00 for whatever reason. I can't stand dishonest companies. Not recommend
Claims to have a "rent to own" version of Izotope RX 7 Standard, but instead downloads an inferior version (Izotope RX 7 Elements) which I already own. Won't respond to messages. LIARS AND SCAMMERS.
Don't trust the "14 day free trial" bull$#*!
They will charge you immediately after the 14 days and right underneath it says "or if you download any sounds." So essentially what they are saying is "Yeah, the subscription to see that the sounds exist and are in their little database is free. But if you actually touch the sounds at all you have to pay us." That's like saying "Hey want a free donut? Free to look at though, since you ate it you owe me a dollar." Don't fall for it, $#*! those $#*!ing faggots. I hate sites that try to pull bull$#*! like that; Steve Martucci can suck a fat $#*!ing $#*!.
As I remember, they advertised 100 free credits, and I admit, cause of my lack of paying attention I thought it'll be truly free, but rather they charged me for it. And they charged me 6 times more as I haven't been checking my prepaid visa with about 50 bucks on it for a while. And atleast, if I paid 6 times for this useless subscription, which should not be a subscription, but pay to get type of payment, as for when you use all your credits, I should already have 600 credits + 100 free, while I have only 300. I've wasted over 48 bucks for pretty much nothing. $#*!ing scam, no matter if I should be checking my transactions more often or not.
