“Dont stand behind manufactures product- speed queen. 4 years old!”

Keith H.

I purchased a speed Queen washer/ dryer approximately 4 years ago.I also purchased many other items from Spencer's. The Speed Queen Dryer that I purchased has had 2 heating elements changed out. Now its down again! I spoke to Spencer's employees and he told me that should not of had this many issues. I called Speed queen directly and they tried to put the blame on me. Telling me I should of had the vents cleaned out. Hello I have done this 2 times! I will not buy from Spencers or buy a Speed Queen again. Spencer's should of contacted them and supported a good customer. They buy a lot from them and would probably listen. Unacceptable! HERE IS THE RESPONSE FROM SPEED QUEEN. Linda (Alliance Laundry Systems) Feb 28,2023, 4:07 PM CST Hello Keith, Thank you for your message. I'm sorry that this is happening with your dryer. Because this issue has happened more than once, it leads me to believe there is an issue with the airflow, or venting. Not only does the venting need to be clean and have good airflow, but the airflow is dependent on the type of material used to attach to your dryer. Airflow in a Speed Queen is crucial. Since these are commercial machines, we push the air through a lot faster than competitive brands. This means the venting has to be better than what the average machine requires. Our air flow through the machine is 220 cfm and if there is a restriction, the temperature can spike. Foil venting cannot be used as it can easily kink and reduce the airflow. The venting material needs to be metal ductwork that gets attached to the back of the dryer and meets the rest of the venting going out of your home. If you make sure this is what you have, you may never have this issue again! Thanks and regards, Linda
