Please try and avoid travel agents especially if you're booking tickets from US to India.
I did, to avoid hassles in changing booking dates for my return trip and I deeply regret it.
Used San Francisco based Skylux Travels with an extremely solicitous agent, Anita who even convinced me to purchase travel insurance to better assist me in fixing the return.
When the need arose, she barely recognized me or my contacts who called her to assist me, leave alone provide any assistance.
She was barely willing to answer the phone and whenever we were lucky to get her, she deferred the problem to the airlines.
I've been forced to forfeit the return ticket as the Airline insists you go back to the agent as the bulk issue tickets are purchased by them and only they have the authority to make the necessary changes.
It's appalling and I've been forced to purchase a new one-way ticket to return to the US.
Please go online and buy your tickets directly from the Airlines and avoid sleazy agents like Skylux travels who are out there to scam you!

I had used Skylux several times and they were excellent. This time i had a flight to Geneva for $3677 and flight and meeting was cancelled due to COVID. I requested a refund on 3/27/2020 and my agent finally requested the refund from United Airline on May 23rd! It is now August 20th and still no refund. I think we all understand the stress of the pandemic on business, but the most frustrating part is the lack of communication by phone or email. I guess i have to get a lawyer now... what a bummer.

I purchased 2 SwissAir business class tickets from SkyLux. Due to Corvid the flights were changed. I asked for a refund. They kept giving me stories and delaying. Finally I just filed a dispute with my credit card company. Skylux almost immediately contacted me and asked me to stop the dispute and they would give me a credit for future travel. Long story shorth, it did not materialize, and they did not refund my money.

The following sums it up for me: I have dealt with Skylux for some years now on multiple travels. Excellent service and responsiveness. Good back up if primary agent is unavailable.
This is our second European trip booked with in the last 2 months. She listens to what we want and gives us options. Responisve to emails and can chat through WhatsApp.

After saving for two years I booked by Dream Trip starting with Sky Lux Travel. When I arrived at LAX the airline would not accept or honor my tickets. Swiss Air told me it was an "Award Ticket", not a passenger ticket. I have no idea what an Award ticket is; I only know I paid for something I did not receive. I was to fly to Zurich then Munich then take a Danube cruise, then stay a few days in Budapest and fly on to Istanbul. All of it did not happen because Sky Lux Travel did not issue appropriate tickets. I am devastated. At 75, having had cancer twice, who know how easy it will be to have such a trip again? A Sky Lux agent tried to resell me other tickets costing thousands of dollars more than I already paid. I call that fraud, and I will seek redress from the many legitimate agencies and an attorney as soon as I can. The trip was cancelled and I lost almost $10,000 for not being able to enjoy the many things I expected to.
I cannot add proof of purchase in this system because there were so many purchases. But I have all the receipts.
